  “No, no, no! This is not possible… this is not happening… not Vincent. Mara?” I screamed, grabbing her arm and shaking it roughly. 

  I couldn’t control my impulses and it was like living in a nightmare from which I couldn’t wake up. The fear I was living was beyond understanding. A violent shaking enveloped me and I felt my body betray me, almost collapsing. 

  “No, Tiara! Don’t do this! It has to be a mistake…” Mara said, at a loss for words. She was breathing heavily and she could hardly get me out of the diner. People were again staring, this time feeling sorry for me. 

  We barely made it out of the restaurant through the people who were crowding to see the news and reach me. “Out of the way, people!” said Mara to them, standing in front of me like a shield. 

  Everything seemed to play in reverse for me. If the news just broke, it meant it happened just as we were eating.

  “Take me to the crash site, Mara!” I said in a voice full of pain.
