9 Chapter 7

Albedo was the overseer of all guardians of the great tomb of Nazarick, a role that she took immense pride in. It was greatest position in Nazarick as it was the one position where she would always have an excuse to spend time with her lord!

But now wasn't time for that. Her lord was crafting plans for this new world they had found themselves in and as his devoted servant it was her duty to answer to his orders with no fail.

Though she kinda wished that lord Utgard would order her to his bed soon.

{Lady Albedo.} she felt Sebas' message connect with her and put her index and middle fingers to her temple and answered.

{Yes, Sebas.}

{Lord Utgard has just left the tomb along with Lady Gudrun to a human village and requested you to meet him there, fully equipped.}

Albedo blinked, and then she blinked twice more as she tried to comprehend what she heard and finally settled on her message.

{The fuck?!}

<5 minutes ago>

Utgard had to admit that the Mirror of Remote Viewing was much harder to use when one didn't have a game console to control it. Also having Sebas and Gudrun staring at the back of his head like hawks didn't help much either.

But as he was a master of YGGDRASIL, self proclaimed, he managed to succeed at it and was met with the same sight that Momonga would have seen in canon. He was starting to get suspicious about it honestly, like was some sort of higher being manipulating these events?

Nah, it must be just coincidence.

Though seeing the villagers get butchered , and they were getting butchered cause there wasn't a better description for it, wasn't something that bothered him much; he still decided to go.

Carne village would be a crucial part to start his takeover. A village that wasn't properly protected by the kingdom was a village that could be persuaded to revolt and through some small help from here or there, they could become a powerhouse that would also be willing to farm for and spread goodwill about Nazarick too.

Also, Enri was hot and he wanted a piece of her. Being horny was always a good reason to help others. As Peroroncino would say 'Helping a waifs is always right thing to do!'.

Utgard really missed that bird head the most.

"Sebas." Utgard stood from his seat and addressed his butler.

"Yes, my lord?"

"I will be going to this village to help them, raise the security of Nazarick to maximum level and tell Albedo to come with full equipment." Joiner ordered to dragonoid who nodded in affirmative.

"Gudrun, you will be coming with me as well." Utgard said to the pale beauty who simply activated her ring and changed her military dress to a grey armor dress.

"[Gate]!" With a flourish of his hand, a purple rift in space opened in front of Utgard and he walked through it followed by Gudrun.

Enri Emmot wasn't having a good day. She woke up late, got scolded by her mother, teased by her bratty little sister then her parents and some of the other villagers of her small little countryside village got killed by soldiers in armors.

She always knew that the life expectancy of villagers who were far from the capital wasn't the highest but damn it, that was supposed to be a warning about monsters, not soldiers!

So now she was running away from knights with her sister in her arms but honestly, she knew that she was as good as dead.

She might be physically above other girls her age due to her lifestyle but she still wasn't anything compared to a trained soldier, especially when she had her sister in her arms.

Then as if one last fuck you to her from the gods, she tripped on a root. If she survived this day, she was gonna burn a few trees.

Which didn't seem likely as a knight slashed her back with his sword, cackling like a maniac.

"Enri..." she could hear her sister's distressed voice but in the end, all she could do was to hug the little girl close to her chest and pray for a miracle.

And a miracle arrives.

Unknown to Enri, a dark portal had appeared behind her and a figure taller than any of the knights followed by a pale beauty in armor had stepped out of the portal.

"[Disintegrate]!" With his palm facing forward, Utgard sent a green bolt of magic which hit one of the knights and did exactly what its name said it does. In front of his comrades, the knight's armor fell to the ground, with dust falling out of the metal with nothing of the knight remaining.

Seeing the state their fellow knight was reduced to, the other two knights tried to run away from the scene. TRIED being the keyword since both of the knights didn't make it further than two steps as Gudrun appeared behind them and cut off their head with a swing of her greatsword.

Enri could only watch what happened before her with wide eyes and feel happy that Nemu couldn't see what was happening with her head buried in her chest.

Utgard on the other hand looked at his hand and wondered him not feeling anything after killing another human being was because of his new race or was it because he wasn't exactly what one would consider normal before his transformation.

Didn't matter.

"[Summon High Tier Beast: Amarok]!" A great monster appeared from the shadows, the sight causing Enri to pull her sister even closer to her chest with big eyes filled with dread. A wolf that stood almost as big as a house, with fangs and claws that could tear dragons apart and fur as white as freshly fallen snow. It also had some blue lines running across its body that Enri could make no sense of.

"Amarok, go and kill the knights attacking the village. But leave at least a dozen of them alive." Utgard ordered and the wolf sprinted towards the village in a speed that couldn't be followed by human eyes.

Before she could think any further, someone else came out of the portal. A female with full body armor and a VERY big axe in her hand, one couldn't see know how she looked as her face was obscured by a frog helmet with horns on its side.

"I apologize for my tardiness, my lord." Albedo said as she looked towards Enri and Nemu.

"What would you wish me to do with these humans?" She asked with a dismissive tone that cause Enri to hug her sister closer.

"Nothing, our current goal is to save the village." Utgard answered his aide and then pulled a bottle out of his inventory with red liquid in it.

"Drink it." He gave it to Enri who looked scared out of her mind. This was the first time she ever saw a potion with red liquid and wouldn't normally trust such a thing but the one who gave it was a man with arms that could more than likely choke a bear and had used magic, refusing him wouldn't be well to her and more importantly to her sister's health.

"Enri!" She heard her sister cry but she still drunk the red liquid but then instead of some sort of eternal sleep, she just felt the wound on her back disappear. Much to her and Nemu's amazement.

"Now then…" Utgard said as he casted several protection spells around the girls and gave them their path to glory, two Horn of Goblin General. "…if some enemy appears, blow one of those horns. A troop of goblins will appear and help you." He said as he turned towards the path towards the village.

Enri could feel it, her call for a miracle was answered. They were answered by a god!
