Overlord: Beyond Supremacy

What happens when gods fail? When gods die? Do they fall into the eternal void? Swallowed by greater powers...? Or do they realize their insignificance in the greater universe. Two goddesses of old, former mortals, now find their way to revenge and redemption playing in the hands of an even greater power. Falling in the virtual world of 'Yggdrasil', perhaps they could find a way to gain their immortality once more? ...Or is this just a ploy of those higher up? A Continuation of 'Correcting Justice' but it is more like a 'shared Universe' rather than an actual sequel. Can easily be read as a standalone. Warning: This story is mostly light hearted with 2 OP MCs on the loose in the Overlord Universe. if you do not like this sort of novel, I recommend you do not read it. This fanfic was heavily influenced by MisterGrin's Chaotic Good. I do not own Overlord. I only own the OCs I do not own cover art. Someone pls give me cover art.

Chapter 88

The new estate which came to be named the 'Grand Haven' was pretty nice. Initially I wanted to ground the five elders for doing such a horrible job and keeping it low and subtle but then I realized the plan that they had scrapped because of my words and I decided to leave it at that. They had initially planned to transform the entirety of the Re-Estize Kingdom into one giant home but thankfully that didn't happen…just an estate the size of a town.

Actually, there was another issue to address regarding something we have left.

Me: The Floating castle where that white dragon guy used to live. What should we do with that?

Diana: I'd appreciate another game room, though I'm wondering what games we can put in there.

Me: Sis, I don't think we need another game room. We can use something like that as a symbol for our people. Not use it for our personal use like other snobby monarchs and Kings would have.

Diana: Then just make it into a school. A really prestigious one.

Me: We already have schools. We've got like five big academies all over the Empire with over hundreds of thousands of students…well it's not exactly enough but they're building another one already so that isn't a problem.

Diana: Then what would you want to do?

Me: …the first University, how does that sound? Kind of symbolic as well, doesn't it? The first higher education and the University is literally a flying castle.

Diana: I'll take that. Not that we have any other ideas or better ways to use it anyway.

Me: Meh, It's not like we need to do that now so we can leave it delayed for a year or two until we begin remodeling the insides of the place. We've got their guild weapon so nothing the students do or touch will collapse the place. Safety measures you know? And I guess we'll have to have a way to prevent students from falling off accidentally or…intentionally. I rather not like the image of students jumping off the place due to high stress levels.

Diana: Barrier magic. easy solution

Me: Or we can troll them by just before they hit the ground they teleport right back at where they were without any of the momentum.

Diana: …sometimes I wonder if my sister is sadistic

Me: Sometimes I wonder about that too. Anyway, Lizardmen. How are they?

3: Kara-sama. We have tracked the movements of the Lizard and Rat people around the Swamp areas of the forest. It seems that they have not entered or left the forest since our taking over of most of the continent. As long as they do not realize what is happening, the plan will go smoothly.

Me: Good…give them a little more fish in their little lake once it starts to get dry. We can't have them foraging the forest and leaving before Ainz Ool Gown arrives. Taking care of the Lizards is Cocytus's job.

3: Of course Kara-sama.

With that, I *poof*ed into a fox and ran out of the meeting. Seriously, this was the most stressful part of the day. Talking about all of this business and work when all I wanted to do was lounge in the sun and sleep all day. Of course, being an Emperor meant that I had work to do…even if I was not a normal one.

I teleported to the Grand Haven's garden where I began to fluff around the Lavenders. I don't know if it was a different type of flower but the ones they planted here seemed to be more fragrant than the ones I was used to back in the previous worlds…interesting. Anyway, this became one of my favorite spots in the estate. The sunlight hit me just right and it was nice and warm here…kind of a strange thing to say for someone who was an arctic fox in addition to a Logia Chill Chill (or Ice) fruit user but whatever. I like being warm sometimes.

When I was taking a nap here, often times one of the maids or gardeners would notice me and carefully carry me back to my room. I bet it was Sengoku who ordered them to do that, not that I mind. By the time they would carry me, it was like that feeling of waking up early in the weekend by realizing I didn't need to wake up. A blissful feeling really.

Since I was trying to act like a good emperor (seriously), I would try and learn what life was like for commoners so I would follow the maids working around the estate and see what they were doing; but whenever I come around, they would stop whatever they were doing and just pet me and treat me like a…pet. Not that I really cared since being a baby fox had its benefits but it got in my humble mission of learning what life was like for them.

Judging by the natural emotions I felt around the house, my guess was that people were generally happy, and the feeling spread out to beyond the estate. I guess the more gold we pumped into people's pockets, the happier they were. Using the comparison of the Holy Kingdom as a constant reminder, the 5 Elders made good use of propaganda to make sure that they should be happy.

I ran around the place a couple times just to get my legs moving before I invaded the Knight's barracks, or should I say mansion? In there, I found Morius who recognized me and picked me up.

Morius: Liliana sensei, are you here to teach me today?

Me: (No, too lazy. Didn't you learn Geppo already though?)

Morius: Sensei, I can only do two steps before I fall back down

Me: (It's natural. Each step is going to be harder than the last. I recommend trying to run on water with the same technique. I heard it helps for noobs like you)

Morius: …sensei. How easily did you learn this?

Me: (When I was an infant probably.)

Morius: …it's useless to compare to you, isn't it?

Me: (Yeah, so give up doing that and continue practicing. Once you have all the six styles down I'll teach you the basics of haki)

Morius: Haki?

Me: (I'm not teaching it yet so put your attention to your training, alright? Next week, I'll throw you into the forest of Tob to check your progress)

Morius: … I swear I'm going to die during this training someday

Me: (I'll just revive you and have you continue your training)

Morius: Sensei, sometimes I wonder if you're a sadist

Me: (Sometimes I wonder about that too. But tough training makes tough soldiers. One day you'll thank me for this)

And thus, another fruitful day of lounging, lazing, and sleeping went by.
