Chapter 27_ Great Magician

"So this is how it felt to succumb to one's inner demon."

Lexus calmly muttered. Knowing the threat of Elfin Stone's Extreme Blood Transfusion, he activated Undefeated King's Rage to enter the invulnerable state as the blood magic could deplete his health bar in an instant. Currently, every one of his cells and nerves were filled with boundless killing intent, making him want to release all of the strength within his body to kill and destroy everything in sight; however, his mind still had clarity due to his Perfect Status Resistance.

If not, his willpower will be unable to stop it, and his mind will instantly collapse, becoming completely taken over by those negative emotions, turning him into a true demon of murder.

'This guy!'

Elfin Stone's gaze fixed on Lexus. His expression was rough, but he could tell that he had grown stronger. Despite the intense fear, Elfin Stone couldn't release his overwhelming magic power. It hadn't reached the level of a great demon, but it was several times stronger than the best rated demonkin.

"As I said. I didn't came here looking for trouble but I had a simple agenda at this place."

Elfin Stone shivered as Lexus' murderous eyes were locked on his kneeling figure. Just like what he had said, Lexus didn't have the intention to provoke or seek trouble with the vampires, but since they attacked him first, he simply retaliated.

"That's why I will spare you."

Lexus smiled, but his bloodthirsty aura didn't fit his smile, making Elfin Stone even more fearful towards him. Though it might sound stupid to spare him, it was because killing Elfin Stone isn't easy. If he were to attack, the intimidation effect of Undefeated King's Rage would subside and force Elfin Stone to unleash his full power, which Lexus knew would cause him a fair deal of trouble.

Wanting to end the match against the Vampire Earl without much trouble, Lexus decided to take advantage of how scared he was and make him surrender on his own. After using the 100,000 Army Massacre Sword and Undefeated King's Rage, Lexus no longer had any mana left. Though Pagma's Sword Dance only consumes sword energy, without mana, he wouldn't be able to cast his buff skills.

That's why he would be in a disadvantage against the vampire. However the main reason why he want to spare him was because, Elfin Stone shouldn't die by his hands. He wanted who he had in mind to do it just like in the novel. Unlike the vampires that will respawn after a certain amount of time to pass, Elfin Stone will not respawn after death.

'I shouldn't possibly take away the growth opportunity of my knight for him to grow, right?'

In his mind, Lexus thought about Greed's encounter with Elfin Stone as one of the main events in the novel that greatly boosted his prowess and developed his character even more. He had no intention of letting it happen again, for fear of losing control over Greed. If Greed wasn't his knight, Lexus would have likely disregarded it; however, since Greed grew stronger, Lexus knew he would undoubtedly benefit from it.

'This is a human?'

Elfin Stone had existed for over 350 years. Over the years, he'd met countless humans. Among them were geniuses as well as those called warriors. But in the end, they were inferior. For Elfin Stone, humans were just prey to be hunted and eaten. But his perception changed at this moment. Elfin Stone's face twisted.

'It is like Braham said.'

Braham, the first one to give him anger and pain. Braham did all types of bad things and was eventually banished.

Suddenly, he felt an incomprehensible threat through his super sensitivity, but Lexus did not act on it. The reason for this was that the wall behind him had collapsed, causing his body to fall down with it.

The magic traps were continuously activated and all types of attribute attacks hit Lexus. However, he's invincible due to his skill and survived all the attacks. This trap was the main reason why Lexus decided to end his match against Elfin Stone.

He was aware that he would enter the legend's invincible passive if the skill wasn't activated. Therefore, before the skill's duration ended, Lexus sprinted as quickly as possible to reach this location and utilize the unkillable effect of the skill.

The traps were just that dangerous.

Seeing the system message, Lexus exhaled in relief that he had just barely made it before the duration ended.

The Guardian of the Labyrinth shook after being stabbed with Kill. Like it was being pushed back by a force with thousands of kilograms. It was a testament to the tremendous weight behind Kill.

Kill was a skill that dealt 1,850% of the caster's current damage. It was unfortunate that it was a single target skill, but the attack power was one of the best among all existing skills in Satisfy.

However, the Guardian of the Labyrinth had high defense and high health. This was one of his strongest attack skills. No, Kill was one of the strongest attack skills in Satisfy and it was even a critical hit, but only 1/10th of the guardian's health was decreased.

The Guardian of the Labyrinth roared and brought down its huge hand. It was like he was simply a fly if compared to it.

It was fortunate that the golem's movement speed was slow. Coupled with his high agility, Lexus easily avoided the attack of the guardian. The guardian's hand struck the ground. The entire underground space shook. Then, he rushed forward and executed a vertical slash with a stoic expression.

The basic attack's power was unable to even scratch the Guardian of the Labyrinth. Its high defense prevented it from penetrating. It was like running your fist into a brick wall and failing to make even the slightest dent; his attacks were futile against the golem's impenetrable defenses, but he wasn't discouraged.

Link had a shorter casting time, less sword energy cost, and a shorter cooldown time than Kill. It was also a skill that dealt 900% of his attack power. It was weaker than Kill, but it was efficient and strong compared to other skills.

In an instant, Lexus dealt twenty blows and severed both of its arms. The wrist and elbow joints disappeared, and now the guardian's arms were useless, greatly diminishing its ability to attack.

The golem roared but Lexus ignored it and started his full-fledged rampage towards the guardian. Without its arms, it became a one-sided battle. If its arms were fine, it could've used defensive maneuvers with both arms. However, it no longer has it to move as it wanted due to Lexus' cutting it. Now, it was just a sandbag without being able to defend.

The red sword crushed the head of the guardian. Then notification windows flashed in front of Lexus.
