Fire Flower Field

The Field was close, it took a few minutes of flying to reach. The flew above glowing and burning flowers. Like golden sunshine the flowers lit up the Midnight to a world of Beauty.

"Over there." Anastasia pointed. As she read the map and flew in that direction on her Black Tear Bat.

Pace told the Peng to fly in that direction. Leon followed behind on his Lightning Griffin.

They arrived to the spot. Like the other parts of the field it was covered in flowers. They landed and looked around to see no caves or anything to enter.

"It should be here. Maybe we have to dig to it?" Anastasia said a bit unsure.

Pace looked at Leon who didn't reject the idea.

"Let's do it!"

"The runes say that it's the tomb of Corrupted Flame Grandmaster, The last Grandmaster of the Corrupted Flame Clan. The Tomb also holds his inheritance and all his riches." Leon said while digging.

"Should we inform the Corrupted Flame Clan?" Pace said.

Leon and Anastasia looked at him like he was an idiot.

"Fine, let's not tell the rightful inheritors." Pace said.

The three hit a hard surface after digging for a few seconds. They cleared and saw that it was a door. The three pulled the door open and entered a tunnel that led into darkness.

All of them were cultivating a Fire art and so easy lit their hands on flame for light. They walked in the tunnel.

As they walked in it they talked.

"The Corrupted Flame Grandmaster was a cultivator mainly of the Fire element, with the Fire he cultivated the poison and dark element." Leon said while looking at Anastasia.

Anastasia was excited. She said, "This will be perfect for my beast."

"But still wow, you just found that map. I should buy maps from old men as well, who knows It might be a hidden treasure map as well." Pace said. He was also enjoying the adventure.

They reached the end of the tunnel to a large room. As they entered they felt the poison energy get stronger. It had a metallic coffin in the center and materials just lying around the room.

The room also had a formation for concentrating the energy into the room. Pace and Anastasia were about to reach for the items.

"Don't touch them, we have to pass a test first." Leon said.

As he did a formation circle came out from the coffin. It spun and split into two. Between them a holographic image of an Old man appeared.

The man attracted his chin and said, "Smart boy, you sensed the trap." Hearing trap Pace and Anastasia moved back.

"You three aren't from the Corrupted Flame Clan, well its fine I need to pass this inheritance to anyone or it'll all just disappear soon." The holographic old man said.

"You three will have to go through a simple test. You just need to take this vase and kill a thousand beast with it." The man took out a vase and threw it for Leon to catch.

Leon caught it and nodded. He summoned his soul book and then the Ifrit Beast appeared. Leon didn't bother hiding it's appearance.

The Ifrit understood what to do. It flashed in front of the holographic old man and grabbed him. This was odd as the man was clearly insubstantial.

"What are you doing?! Stop!" The man screamed.

The Ifrit Beast didn't care It's mouth opened and sucked the soul of the man into it. The formation circles broke and the Ifrit Beast flashed back. Leon unsummoned it.

The Holographic man was a soul that had possessed the Grandmaster's last message from the other realm. The Draogn had told this to Leon.

Leon had the Ifrit deal with it as it had the most clean way to doing it.

The Ifrit was a three element beast. It had the elements of Fire, Demon and Soul. It's main elements were fire and demon with a sub element of soul. It knew the moves: Flash Flame, which was what it teleported with, Soul Devour, which it just used to eat the soul, Fire Magic, Fire Body, Demon Magic and Hell Fire. It was an eight voidstar beast but only had six abilities as it mainly had spells that it could use.

This was something seen in most magic using beast as they didn't need abilities as much, they could use spells for most attacks.

Pace and Eos were stunned. They had no idea what just happened. This amazingly strong beast Leon had summoned ate the Old man. They had theirs jaws dropped as they watched what happened next.

Another formation circle formed and a new holographic man appeared. They looked exactly the same but this one looked more friendly and benign.

"Thank you young man. I will remove the seal to my inheritance for this favour, I just hope you can help deliver the letter in this coffin to the Clan head of the Corrupted Flame Clan-" The man then cracked and broke a part with the formations.

Pace and Anastasia had no idea what was happening. They just saw the same old man die twice.

Pace finally got up and asked, "Leon what happened?"

"The Corrupted Flame Grandmaster's last was message taken over by another soul. I destroyed it. However the true Grandmaster could only say so much as it lost all its energy with me destroying the last soul."

"Oh." Pace said as if he understood everything. "Let's get the treasures then!" Pace was fine with just ignoring this whole event. He could have Leon slowly explain it to him later.

Anastasia got up and hit Pace on thr back of the head, "What do you mean 'oh'?! Explain it to us properly and what was that beast you summoned?" Anastasia asked.

"Well, I already explained the situation, I'll explain in detail later. As for the beast I summoned it was my Primal Beast."

"Isn't your primal beast a Four voidstar Fire Bird. No way in he'll can you convince me that was a Fire Bird!" Anastasia shouted.

Pace was also interested and listened.

"The Clan Head juged my primal beast to be from the incorrect species at the awakening ceremony. The image of the egg was blurry he could hardly tell what the Beast was. He probably saw wings and assumed it was a Fire Bird."

"Your beast didn't have wings." Anastasia said.

Leon smiled confidently and summoned the Ifrit Beast again using the disguised soul book.

The Ifrit Beast appeared and understood what to do. It casted a spell quickly and had fire wings appear on its back. It then started fly around the room and tried its best to look like a bird. It then came and stopped inform of Leon wondering if it did good job.

Leon smiled and put his thumb up to say good job. He then unsummoned the Beast. He knew that wouldn't convince them but good enough to stop them for a while.

Anastasia and Pace looked at wondering if they thought they were idiots.

"Whatever, let's just start cultivating." Pace said.

Anastasia was also done questioning Leon. He wasn't giving any proper answers only making things up.

Leon was satisfied with the result. When he had summoned the Ifrit Beast he didn't have time to disguise it using Formless aura. The Soul was about to activate a dream formation the would trap everyone in it. So Leon had to kill it quickly.

Other then the Dragon none of his beast could kill it. Well there was the chimera but it was better to reveal the Ifrit then the Chimera. He also knew that from everyone in the Clan, Pace and Anastasia were the people he could trust most to not talk about this.

They looked around the room and found rare items. Leon found a Holy element fruit and happily kept it. Other then that it was mostly poison resources and fire resources.

Pace and Anastasia tried to do the same but barely understood what anything was.

"So Anastasia summon your Midnight Caterpillar. I'll help you evolve it."

She was already listening to Leon for so long so she couldn't stop now. She summoned the Caterpillar and took out the Pure Darkness fruit and Nightshade flower.

Leon picked up a few things in the room.

He took a bottle of black liquid that was lying around the room and started drawing a runic formation.

"If your wondering why I can draw formations, I learned it on my way back from an old Lady." Leon said.

The liquid he was using was Black water. It was a dark energy filled liquid. The Midnight Caterpillar when evolved into a Midnight Butterfly can go three routes. It can evolve with the poison element as it's main element, it can evolve with the poison and dark element becoming its main elements and finally it can evolve with that dark element becoming its main element.

Leon took the Liberty of choosing for Anastasia. He would evolve it with both poison and dark elements as it's main elements. This would make sure it had the highest paths for evolution.

Leon completed the formation. "Have the caterpillar enter the formation and put your hand on it."

Anastasia nodded. She had never used a formation to help with evolution so she didn't what to do. She just followed Leon's instructions.

Pace was amazed and tried to remember how Leon drew the formation. "I need Leon to teach it to me. I won't let him say later this time." He whispered to himself.

The caterpillar entered the circle and Anastasia put her hand on the formation. Leon walked over to her, "This will hurt a little." He grabbed Anastasia's hand and took out a knife from his spatial ring in the other hand. He cut the palm of the hand and stamped it onto the formation.

Anastasia didn't even know what happened. It took a second after feeling the pain in her hand stamped to the floor did she finally understand her had was cut.

The formation activated and the egg around the Midnight Caterpillar formed. A Black egg with starry white dots littered on it. They was one dot that was bigger then everything else it was the moon.

Anastasia pulled her hand out from Leon's hand. "You could have warned me!"

"I did."

She remembered that Leon did warn her, he just didn't wait for her to process it. She took out some bandage from her Spatial ring and stopped the bleeding.

"I'll take care of the evolution of the Caterpillar, you cultivate and try to reach summoning teacher realm."

Anastasia didn't really know why Leon was ordering her around so much. She was getting annoyed. Seeing this Pace came to the rescue.

"Anastasia what Leon means to say is you shouldn't waste your time and should start cultivating. You are practicing a fire and poison dual element art right? This place is perfect for you."

Anastasia calmed a little and found a spot to cultivate, She summoned her other two beasts. Pace also summoned all his beasts.

Pace walked around the room and found some fruits to evolve his beast. He turned to look at Leon who was sitting in front of the black egg with his eyes closed.

"I'll help you evolve your beasts after this." Leon said.

Pace felt better and started cultivating and waiting for Leon to finish.

Leon got up and picked up the Pure Drakness fruit and Nightshade flower. He took the two and let the egg absorb both of them together. Evolving the Midnight Butterfly with two main elements was the hardest of its three evolutions, you needed to balance out the two elements of poison and dark.

Leon only felt things get harder as he knew Anastasia could not help by controlling the energy in the egg. Since he wasn't the summoner he couldn't do it. Controlling the energy in an evolving beast to let particular elements prevail was something only summoning master could do. It needed deep understanding of elements which was something that you learned at master level.

Leon then took another two materials he found in the room. One was a Rotten Dark Fruit while the other was a rainbow spike fruit.

He sunk those into the egg as well. After that he stood up and went to Anastasia.

"Let me evolve the bat, and you should sit next to your evolving beast to understand the process better."

Leon went an drew another circle using that Black water. He had the Black Tear bat. Anastasia came and undid the bandage and stamped her hand by herself. She removed after the egg formed around the bat.

Leon went up to it and emptied the bottle of Black water on it. He then took the tears of various beast Anastasia had bought and poured then on the egg as well.

The egg around the Black Tear bat was translucent and made of a weird flowing gel like substance.

Leon walked away. He walked around the room and found another bottle. It was of Pure Fire liquid.

There where many bottles around the room of all kind of liquid. High level cultivators liked to keep such liquids to from stronger formation circles then the use of blood or just carving.

Leon started drawing another formation circle. "Pace you want it evolve Fiona into a shadow Fire Cat right?"

Pace nodded.

"Fine have her enter the formation and add your blood to the formation." Leon then got up and picked up two fruits from the surroundings.

Pace went up to the formation and asked, "How much blood do I need to add?" He was going to do the same thing Anastasia had done, cut his hand and then stamp it.

"A drop will do." Leon said coolly.

Anastasia almost fell over. "What did I need my whole hand cut then?!"

"Becuse it is better for your beast to absorb more blood." Leon said as if he expected the question. Internally he was laughing.

Pace dropped blood onto the formation activating it. Leon came and gave the Shadow evolution fruit and a Flame Crystal Fruit to Pace. "Just add those to the egg in a while. You'll know when it's time, just sit here and try to concentrate on the egg."

Pace nodded. He had already started concentrating.

Leon moved to the side of the room. He summoned the Lightning Spirit Butterfly. Leon let it sit on his hand. The Dragon was on his head sleeping.

Leon walked around the room and found a bottle, this one held Lightning Fluid. He took it and found a corner to draw a formation circle. This formation circle was much more complicated then the ones that were drawn for Pace and Anastasia.

The Butterfly entered and Leon used the knife to cut his hand. He let the blood drop on the circle. He then took out the Sad Life Fruit and the storm bead as the egg formed around the butterfly.

Leon Just let the storm bead be absorbed. He then brought a lightning Charred fruit for that Butterfly to absorb.

After that he let it absorb the Sad Life Fruit. He then put his hand on the egg and controlled that energy in the egg. He used that life energy in the butterfly to absorb the small amount of Life energy from the Sad Life Fruit. He then had the butterfly reject the fruit from that egg. The fruit came out from the egg's surface and fell to the ground. It looked rotten and old.

Leon then controlled the Life energy to grow stronger. While also growing the Lightning energy.

A week passed. All of them just sat in position. Anastasia and Pace had gotten up to see Leon evolving a Lightning Beast. They thought it was the Lightning Griffin and sat back down near their eggs.

The egg of the butterfly changed from pure blue to a slight green line that passed through it.

In another day Anastasia's Black Tear Bat hatched out. It was now a Crying River Bat, a five voidstar beast. It had changed from being pure black to a very dark blue with water coming out of its eyes.

Anastasia celebrated alone, She then went back to concentrating on the Midnight Caterpillar egg. It was evolving straight to a six voidstar beast it needed more time then then compared to other evolutions.
