Outrun The Truth

Slow Paced. Meraki Sagepice woke up at the hospital with no memory of who she is or what had transpired. She just remained there, an empty shell of a human. That is, until a woman in a suit appeared to her and pledged loyalty to her in a blood pact. With that, a sudden and painful bloodlust consumed her entire consciousness. Who is she? Who is this woman? And why is the Sagepice family so feared? *Not my cover art.

Soul Remainance

We walked all the way to the basement level and stopped in front of the room they were in.

Adan placed his hands on the doorknob and paused, looking at Aurora, "All is not well in this room."

"Should I put up a barrier?" Aurora asked, looking at him.

"Just to be safe." He said, turning the doorknob and opening it as Aurora formed a barrier around us.

Once the door opened, a gust of smoke burst out and a figure ran right past us.

Lake came stumbling out, covering his mouth with his arm, "Aurora!"

Aurora clenched her teeth and ran looked at Adan before she began to run after the parson, keeping the barrier up.

I looked around me at the smoke as Ruben came out, covering his nose with his shirt sleeve as Adan waved his hands and the smoke disappeared.

"What happened?" Adan asked, walking to the two.
