"Nice to meet you Carrie."
We shake hands and I maintain a calm composure and an easy smile.
"I am already jealous, he must be the best having gotten you those," I compliment her.
"He is," she answers with a big smile and I have to fight within to keep the emotions brewing inside all bottled up. I have a plan that means I have to be calm and friendly.
"Are you here on a date?" I ask her and she laughs.
"No, this hotel is not the place to bring a date, it's a girl's club almost. But then the girls are all wannabes."
Huh. I detect her distaste in her voice, which is so weird I am all but curious. Does she secretly despise her friends? I don't care only I have to use it to my advantage.
"I didn't know it was so until I came here today. I am new in the city," I disclose as I shut my purse close.
"No! How come? I could have sworn you looked familiar but then that would be crazy," she sounds surprised.
