So, A month had passed since the start of school and we were deemed ready for a school trip to the 'Blood Forrest Dungeon' which was the closest dungeon to this city and also the weakest one in the country, I had been doing my special training with the teachers everyday and gotten just a bit stronger,

we walk out to the designated moving spot where they have transportation mages to transport us and just in case some beast summoners if anything goes wrong, along with the first year teachers and a dozen mages and swordsman, there was a saying in this world 'no matter how weak it is or how strong you are the dungeon is deadlier than you' and the saying wasn't wrong hundreds of high-ranking adventurers, hunters and soldiers die each year due to dungeons and while you may think of dungeons as these underground tombs or unknow catacombs in this world a dungeon is just a portion of land high in mana and mana beasts, anything could go wrong.

and so we were all transported and once we did the teachers began to speak

"okay, so were gonna use our mages to sense your presence and see if anything goes wrong, however you still have to stay in a team of three, your teams have been pre-decided based on your results and what all of you need" and so he listed off a bunch of people I hadn't spoken to yet when he got to me "Team 9 - Kon Whiteblood, Alexander Yellowhorn, Samantha Redbuckle"

Samantha, I think I sit next to her in magic theory and beastology

"hey nice to meet you properly, I'm Kon, we sit near each other in a couple classes right?"

"and I'm Alexander call me Alex"

"um I'm Samantha, call me Sam, so what do you guys specialize in, I'm a mage"

"I'm a swordsman" replied Alex

"Oh um, I'm a magic-swordsman"

"wait really, its rare for someone to have an affinity for both swordsmanship and magic"

"ye our Kon's a rare prodigy, oh ye what type of magic do you specialize in, I specialize in Two-sword fighting"

"Oh I don't really have a speciality yet but my strongest I would probably say is fire magic but that's just due to my family, were known for our fire attribute so I don't wanna specialize in it"

"ye I get that, my family are known for their ability with great swords so when I didn't show an affinity for it I kinda panicked a little"

"ye I feel like the odd one out, the only family I know of are my mother and father and one of them is an all-around swordsman and the other a battle/support mage" I should hide their titles at least for now

"All-right now that you've all gotten to know your team mates we will be giving all 9 teams a different section to hunt in for experience also all of you need to assign a team leader" and so they all took is to where we were supposed to go, we were given the strongest section due to use being the most promising students miss Gladz told me to avoid using any divine abilities just in case and I also had my powers limited however it was a seal I could remove at will however I'm scared what she would do if I removed it without a good reason.

"so who wants to be team leader" said Alex "I vote for Kon"

"and I the before mention Kon recommend Alex, he supposedly has dungeon experience"

"really, well then I want Alex as well, experience in a dungeon is extremely helpful"

"B-but Kon is stronger and I don't think I'm skilled enough to lead"

"dude I trust in you, believe in yourself a little, ok?"
