Act 6: "You and I both drink the poison"

Two months later:

Ai had gotten jealous of a New-Coworker that had joined B-Komachi her name was Kako Ai hated her because Kako got a little too close to Renji in Ai's opinion. Ai grumbled after seeing them talking with each other and pulled Renji away from her into an empty room. "Renji" Ai said softly as she grabbed his hand as she squeezed it.

Renji let out a soft hum in response as Ai squeezed his hand harder. "I don't like her at all" Ai almost hissed a venom laced her tongue. Renji cupped her face before kissing her forehead as he chuckled "baby your just overreacting" Ai sighed and pulled her hand away. "Overreacting? Renji she literally flirts with you all day?!".

Renji grimaced as he saw the tears welling up in Ai's eyes, he tried to grab her hand, but she swatted it away "If you want to be with her so much fine" Ai said with a shaky breath before she stormed off Renji tried to chase her as she left the room, he followed her but was stopped, when he felt a grab on his hand. It was Kako Renji eyes widened 'Was Ai right was I truly blind?'. He pulled his hand away in disgust.

"Don't touch me" Kako rolled her eyes and grabbed his arm as she leaned into him. "Come on you know you think about me~" Renji almost vomited as he pushed her off of him as he left the building looking for Ai.

A few hours later:

Renji hadn't found Ai anywhere and it started to rain 'Great' Renji said in his mind as tears streamed down the boy's face as he walked into a park and there, he saw Ai with another guy under the same umbrella. Renji nearly dropped to his knees as his deep bright blue eyes dulled to a dark murky blue. He walked away and stopped in an alley as he fell to his knees and clutched his chest as he screamed all his anger and sadness out.

He screamed and screamed yet no one came 'It's like I'm screaming, and no one can hear....' Ai was sitting at the park unbeknownst to her Renji had seen her with another guy, but he didn't know he was a child-hood friend she met a few months after she met Renji his name was Rin he had a girlfriend he treated Ai like a little sister, and he was moving in a few days he comforted her as Ai cried her heart out.

A few days later:

Ai had been calling Renji phone with no answer and no one had seen him not even Yuki they had contemplating on calling the police when one day Renji walked in. Ai ran to hug him, but Renji stopped her. "Please step aside Ai" Ai heart almost shattered as she looked into Renji eyes. They were swollen like he had cried for days on no end, and they were dull they held no motivation or will they we're just empty like a dark blue ocean.

He walked past to her as he stumbled into Ichigo's office Ai wanted to run after him but was stopped by Yuki who merely shook her head tears fell from Ai's eyes as Renji closed the door behind him Ai walked up to the door and pressed her ear against it.

"Ichigo" Renji called Ichigo who stood up and hugged the boy tightly Ichigo was ecstatic till he saw the emptiness in the boy's eyes he sighed as he sat Renji down. Renji gripped the older man's shirt and put his face into a pillow as he cried and screamed till his hearts content. He pulled away after a few minutes as he looked into Ichigo's eyes.

"I-I don't know what to do Saitou,....It hurts so badly just make it stop please." Renji cried as he gripped the older man shirt Ai on the other side of the door nearly busted through the door, but she collected herself as tears rolled down her shirt. "Before I left I-I-I" Ichigo patted the boy's head. "Slow down son" Renji nodded as he calmed himself. "I saw Ai with another guy, and It hurts so bad I cried, and I cried I screamed, and I screamed. yet it was like no one heard me nobody came for me Not Ai Not Mom Not you it hurts so bad I almost wished I-I-I didn't survive the stabbing." Ichigo hugged the boy tightly as he patted his head.

"Renji Don't ever say anything like that again do you understand?" Ichigo said sternly as Renji nodded "It hurts so bad Dad help me please..." Ichigo rubbed the boy's back "I know son I know" Ai nearly had a mental breakdown hearing this as she slid down to the floor as she leaned her head back.

Ai clutched her head as the voice came back. 'You always ruin things you should just die your useless' Tears rolled down Ai's face 'Get out of my head stop it.' Ai clutched the purple pendant on her neck as she got up and ran out of strawberry productions as she ran and ran and ran. Renji had finally gotten the therapy he needed but what about Ai? Ichigo had eased all the boy's anxiety thoughts "Ok I just need to talk with her about it right?" Renji finally stepped out of Ichigo's office as he looked for Ai before he heard she ran out.

Renji eyes widened as he ran out and looked everywhere the ice cream shop the karaoke bar the park, they always go too it started to rain as he still looked everywhere 'Where is she Where is SHE' Ai had ran to god's know whereas she sat on the side of the sidewalk as rain poured down her face. She had alcohol in her hand she had gotten from bribing and manipulating a homeless man. 'I heard this makes all your problems go away it wouldn't hurt right?' She took a swing.

It burned her throat, yet she liked it the way it burned it felt so good she took another swing, and another till she was dark as an umbrella found its way over her head. She looked up and there she saw Renji panting his shirt and pants were stained with rain as she saw his eyes widened at the substance in her hand, she tried to hide it.

Renji grabbed it out of her hands before breaking the bottle as he looked down at her and picked her up. "Me and you are going to have a very long talk" Renji said as it made, Ai sober up slightly as she sighed and just rested her face in his neck. "So, Ai who was that guy you were with" Renji said his voice almost broke, but he stayed firm as he carried her on his back. "A childhood friend he moved yesterday to a far country he has a girlfriend" Ai said as she hugged Renji tightly.

"Ai I'm sorry for-" A kiss had interrupted Renji as her grip on him tightened "Shut up just shut up it's my fault for running away just let me enjoy this" Ai chuckled softly at Renji red expression. "Where did you get Alcohol from" Renji said as Ai sighed. "Who cares?~" Ai cooed softly as she was met by a stern response "ME and Ichigo and Yuk-" Now it was Renji who was interrupted "Please don't tell them about what happened" Ai said meekly as they had arrived at Renji's house. Renji carried her to the bathroom. "I'll think about it change and we'll talk about it later.".

Ai pursed her lips but nodded as she took the spare clothes she left at Renji house Renji left her to change when she called him. "Renji!" Ai called from the bathroom as Renji knocked on the door. "Yea?" She opened the door and pulled him in as she had her shirt off and her bra exposed.

"Ai what are you,,,,!" He was met with a kiss as Ai pulled his hands on her hips. "You can touch~" Ai said softly as she tried to slide his shirt off, but Renji pulled away "Ai your drunk." Renji said as he shook his head. "Renji let's start a family like you promised" The words rolled of her tongue sweetly Renji almost stopped to think about it....No she was drunk he couldn't. He shook his head and walked out the bathroom as Ai pouted as a few minutes passed before she walked out in her night wear.

Renji was sitting on his bed in his own night wear when Ai jumped onto him and cuddled into him as she purred softly her eyes quickly fluttered shut. Oh, how he was going to tease her when she woke up. Renji ruffled her hair as he turned off the lamp before his eyes shut.

Ai yawned as she woke up a happy sigh leaving her mouth at the familiar warmth. Wait familiar warmth? She slowly sat up as Renji Deep bright eyes looked into her sparkling ones. "Goodmorning Ai~" Yesterday memories poured into her head as a headache hit her hard and they had school this morning. She cursed whatever gave her the headache, but she blushed as she remembered what she tried to do with Renji.

"Oh?~ Have the memories come back to you." Renji teased as he cupped her face, she blushed deeply God his touch was addicting. She leaned into his touch "Renji did we?" Ai asked as she blushed a deep shade of red. "No, we didn't" Renji responded for some reason she felt.... Disappointed? She quickly shook the thought out of her head as they were only 14.

"So, Ai how did you get the alcohol?" Renji said sternly as Ai grimaced and tried to change the subject "We should really get going to school-" Ai tried to slip out of the bed but was pulled back in by Renji "I called both of us in sick" Renji said sternly Ai sighed "Promise you won't get mad?" Renji grumbled as he shrugged "Depends." Ai sighed as she told Renji how she asked a homeless person if they could get her a bottle of wine or whiskey really anything. Renji took in deep breaths as Ai continued as the homeless man had gotten her whiskey and she started to drink it "It felt so good Renji it numbed my brain I honestly want more-" She was practically drooling as she was cut off by the feeling of Renji grabbing her hand.

"If you even pick up another bottle of alcohol. I'll tell Yuki and Ichigo" Renji threatened Ai pursed her lips as she was conflicted, she wanted more the way the alcohol numbed her brain felt so good, but she only had to make sure Renji didn't find out right? "I know what you're thinking Ai try to hide it and I will find out." Ai grumbled in her mind and smiled she was lying something she promised to never do with him do as she mentally yelled at her herself the smile faded as she sighed.

God everything was just too much right now she just needed to sleep. "Ai promise you won't drink again till you're at least 21" Ai eyes widened 7 years? Without that numbing feeling how could she..... Then she felt it as Renji kissed her forehead and hugged her. That same numbing feeling his touch was numbing her brain she smiled as she swear she could get drunk off his touch as she nodded "I promise" Ai said honestly as Renji grinned and patted her head 'Why do I need alcohol when I have the best drug right here?' Ai said in her mind as she relaxed into his touch.

2061 words this chapter went by a little fast you guys might get a three in one day to be honest but anyways for those questioning how could Ai get alcohol? Easy Simply put she told the homeless man if he could get her some alcohol, she would give him 100,000 yen = 705 USD the man complied after Ai convinced him she was 21 she just forgot her ID Mind you she was wearing a cap and it was raining the homeless man gave her some whiskey he hadn't drunk yet as AI gave him the money she then walked out to the curb and started to drink then you know the rest. hope you enjoyed the chapter.
