5 Act 5: Addiction

A few months later:

Ai wouldn't let Renji out of her sight as she constantly clung to him, she wouldn't lose him EVER. According to Renji she needed to be ready at any moment as the Hikaru incident can happen. Also, after that Ai had become very distrustful of any person who tried to get to know her which could become a major issue according to Renji, but she only needed him right?

"Renji~" Ai's voice filled the person in question ears as he let out a soft hum in response. "Give me attention get off your phoneee~" Renji sighed as he patted Ai's head, she let out an almost purr noise before leaning into his touch, but he pulled away shortly after as a pout found its way to Ai's lips.

Ai blushed Wildy as Renji had kissed her "Ai you need to be ready what happened with hik-" Renji was cut off by the feeling of Ai hugging him tightly "I don't want to be reminded of what happened can we please talk about something else?" Renji sighed. "I'm sorry to remind you but you can lose me Ai even if you don't want it to happen."

"It's not fair...." Ai said quietly but Renji said nothing and just let her rant "It's not fair I can't love anyone because I'm an idol I should have never become one I should've listened to you it's all my fault..." Ai said as tears threatened to fall down her eyes.

"Ai please don't ever say that it's never your fault to m,take Hikaru head on was my decision. Don't ever blame yourself for my dumb choices alright?" Renji said as he cupped Ai's face. "But if I wasn't there you could've dodged, and you would have never-" Renji cut her off "Ai, I want you to be happy and if that costs my life so be it, I could never wish for something more than for you to be happy whether that is with me or without me." Renji said as he kissed her once again.

Ai frowned at his words and was about to say something but after he kissed her, she smiled "Stop doing that you idiot" Ai said as she hit him on the chest playfully before standing "Renji one day we're going to start a family like you promised right?" Ai said teasingly as she twirled around grinning at him. "Of course, what should be their names?" Renji said as he tilted his head. "We'll think about it in the moment of course~" Ai said as Renji hugged her and let out a soft hum.

"The girl is named amethyst" Renji said as Ai gasped dramatically. "If they're going to pop out of my belly, I'm naming them end of conversation." Ai huffed "But shouldn't I-" Ai death glared at Renji "Yes ma'am" he said ending the conversation. "Good Renji!~" Ai said as her phone dinged.

"Its president Saitou" Renji said as he looked at her phone from over her shoulder. Ai nodded softly as she texts back "Satou" Ai tried to correct Renji as Ai dragged Renji to the door. "You're coming with me!" Ai said playfully as Renji had quickly put on his shoes Ai quickly threw on her coat but didn't bother to put on the rest of her winter clothes as Renji did the same and just put on a coat as they before she dragged Renji out of the house a smile spread across both of their faces as they walked through the left-over snow on the ground.

'I won't let anything happen to my star' Renji said firmly in his mind as him and Ai had gotten inside of Ichigo's car. "Renji?" Ai said softly as her grip on Renji hand tightened. "If you ever try to die on me again even kami won't be able to save you from the things I'd do" Ai said as a tick mark grew on her face.

Renji nodded eagerly 'I would gladly do it twice' Renji confirmed in his mind as they arrived at strawberry studio's "Oh yea Ai what is this interview about?" Renji asked as Ai smiled and put a finger to her lips "Thats a secret~" Ai proceeded to drag him inside the building as there was a whole camera crew there as ai merely smiled as she let Renji hand go who merely grumbled at the lost touch but was shut up by a wink from Ai.

The camera crew gave Ai a thumbs up as they started filming live as Renji checked and the stream had over 200,000 viewers and the live stream was slowly crashing the app it was being streamed on. Renji grinned as Ai was being asked personal questions. "What food do you like to eat?" "Where do you like to have fun?" "Please tell us." "Is there a lover?" That question stuck a nerve as Ai resisted the urge to pull Renji in the frame and say yes. "Hmmmm Maybe...Not?~" A lot of viewers seem to think there was a lover which there was, but Ai looked at Renji.

A frown formed on Ai's face as she pulled Renji into the frame "This is my lover!~" Ai said with a wink as the viewers and even camera crew went wild. "Yep, he's my boyfriend and we plan on starting a family after I retire~" Renji merely sighed as he couldn't even salvage the situation since it was live as he said emptily "Yay mom I'm on tv."

Is what Ai wanted to happen, what really happened:

Ai merely shook her head and resisted the heavy urge to say Renji was her lover at the question of a lover and smiled as the questions continued. The interview ended as Ai hugged Renji "Renji Gimme head pats~" Ai said as she leaned onto his arm Renji gave Ai what she wanted before leaving not before Ai puts on a cap and sunglasses.

"Renji Let me tell the world about our love I want to show everyone your mine~" Renji sighed as he hit her on the head. "Think about your career and stop teasing" A soft hum left Ai's mouth as Ai tilted her head and looked at Renji "I'm not teasing though I'm serious." What made Renji blush so hard wasn't the genuine look on her face it was the innocence that was in her voice.

"Stop trying to sound innocent" Renji grumbled as Ai smirked and leaned her head on his shoulder. "You like it though so why should i stop Renji?~" Ai teased again as she dragged Renji to a karaoke bar. They checked in as they walked into a private room before Ai smiled and clutched the pendant on her neck.

"Remember when you gave me this?" Ai said as she looked at the matching pendant on Renji's neck as Ai wrapped her arms around Renji's neck. "I kept my promise where's my reward?" Renji rolled his eyes as he kissed her, but it wasn't all as he pulled out two matching rings.

"You know you have to stop spoiling me I make more money, yet you spoil me more" Ai pouted as she slides the ring on her finger and Renji did too as they both put the ring on their engagement fingers as Renji took the chance to tease. "I haven't even proposed yet Ai so greedy~" Renji teased as Ai blushed and ignored his comment as she picked up the mic.

She began to sing Renji's favorite song Idol the one she literally only performs for him, and he liked the song and how she performed it as when she did it felt like they were the only two people in the world as their emotions leaked out but she only performed it twice.

For Renji though one was more than enough so two felt giving him a fortune as Ai walked in on him one time dancing to her performance with a small smile on his face. Renji blushed in embarrassment whenever Ai brought it up and he always brought up the time he caught her watching a video of him naked and she was practically drooling. but this is a story for another time of course.

Ai spun half trying and half just being lazy as she quickly finished and gave Renji the mic who sighed and picked the mic up as he looked at Ai who smiled in excitement t Renji was shocking good at singing and Ai constantly begged him to sing for her whenever she first heard him at the karaoke bar on her one birthday.

Flashback:

We watch as Renji grabbed the mic from Ichigo who singing was horrible as he changed the song the sighed as he turned on a rather fast paced song and where Ai got the idea to perform Idol for her debut as he sang the lyrics almost divinely as he hit every note perfectly as he stopped after the song ended as Ai and Ichigo jaws were dropped to the floor as they looked at Yuki who laughed "His dream was to become a singer but now he wants to be an actor"

Ai smiled "Maybe one day if my idol career takes me far enough, we can both act in a movie together a drama together right Renji?~" Ai smiled as she hugged Renji who blushed "Yea maybe." He responded as he looked away from Ai but there were smiles on both of their faces.

Back the present:

We watch as Renji sang so well Ai could swear he would be a better singer than an actor in her eyes. Y/n chuckled "Who knows I might do both." Renji said as a couple hours later it was becoming dark as the two left the karaoke bar before going to Renji house.

"I'm home!" Renji got a response almost immediately "Welcome home" Yuki called from the kitchen as she saw Ai she smirked "Ara~ Ara~ You're both growing up so fast make sure to use protection~" Renji and Ai both blushed as they yelled in unison "We're 14!" Yuki smiled as she shrugged "That doesn't mean much now does it?" Renji groaned as he and Ai both walked to his room as Renji lied down before he felt Ai getting in the bed with him as she rest her hands on his back as he rested his face in her chest.

Renji smiled and so did Ai as both of their eyes fluttered shut.... Renji and Ai both woke up in the middle of the night as Ai called to Renji filling his missing warmth a soft hum resonated from somewhere in the room as Ai yawned "Come back to bed and I'm not asking" Ai threatened as she felt Renji arms wrap back around her she sighed in relief.

"Renji You said my eyes shine like the stars, right?" Ai said tilting her head Renji couldn't see though as he responded "mhm" Ai pulled him closer as she turned on the lap on his night as she looked into Renji eyes as he cupped his face. "Your eyes draw me in like an ocean tide" Ai said as she sounded genuine which made her cuter in Renji eyes as he patted her head as a sigh left his mouth.

"That was cute Ai" Renji said as he kissed Ai's forehead as she blushed a deep shade of red much to Renji amusement before his eyes fluttered Ai turned the lamp off as she looked at Renji sleeping figure a few minutes later Ai did the same.....

Ai woke up as Ai groaned and looked outside the window and saw large amounts of snow covering the ground she grinned as she shook Renji softly a soft hum left "Renji's mouth as he looked at Ai "Renji there's snow outside get up!~"

Renji nodded softly before he spoke "5 more minutes" He grumbled as Ai smiled and kissed Renji forehead "of course" Ai responded as they ended up staying the bed for an extra two hours before she forced Renji to get up.

He groaned and complained as they ate breakfast why he couldn't get a few more minutes as a tick mark formed its way on Ai's face as she glared at him "I gave you two hours Renji~" Ai said with a threatening tone as Renji sweat dropped and immediately stopped complaining.

As they ate a few minutes later Ai burst through the door with a large purple coat on the same color of her hair as she had on a black scarf and white Mits as she immediately jumped in the snow making snow angels as Renji joined her as they both got up and grinned as a snowball hit Renji in the face he stumbled as he looked at Ai who had her tongue sticking out.

A pissed off expression took Renji's face as he chased Ai who merely ran and dodged before a snowball hit her on the back she yelped and rolled in the snow as a sneeze left her body she stood up with a pissed expression on her face as she now chased Renji.

After a while they sat in the snow drinking hot chocolate that Yuki had made for them as they smiled at each other and held each other's hands as they looked at the sky that fell with more snow a single thought ran through their minds as an image of one another popped in their minds.

'I love you Ai / Renji.'
