Disregarding glaring Vampires, Max looked at the little girl in his arms. She was much like her mother, small nose, rosy cheeks, dark blue hair, blue eyes, everything about her made it hard to resist.

Seeing the little girl also looking at him with her big blue eyes, still somewhat crying, Max gave her a kiss on the cheek.

"Look, Anny, your eyes are just like daddy's although mine are a lot bluer"

Max felt really good at the sight of Anny's happy moment, he laughed loudly and kissed her again.

"Haha, really? I don't think so, let's ask your mother"

Both Max and Anny look simultaneously at Nicol, their eyes were shining. Nicole on the other hand show smile she never showed in years. Although she knew Max doing this for the little girl, she was happy, her little girl finally smiled happily.

"What fuck is this? Nicol you whore! So this is the little bitch's real father?"

Just when Nicol thought good answer, he ex-husband bellowed loudly. He had fumed expression written all over his face. Little Anny was frightened by voice and his ugly face, she hid her face on Max's chest.

"No wonder you wanted to divorce me, you bitch slept this pretty boy huh! I will fucking kill you"

Nedd really believed Anny was Max's daughter. She had the same eyes as Max and little girl showed extremely emotional attachment toward Max who appeared out of nowhere. He was enraged, now he feels how those husbands felt when they caught their wives sleeping him, he had fun looking at them, but now the same thing happening to him. Even if he had no feeling toward Little bitch and whore, they must pay for this betrayal.

"Oi! There are kids here and don't talk to my wife like that" Max said trying hard not to burst into laughter. He didn't know this guy was an idiot. it was obvious he was trying to coax the little girl. Even Vampires behind this guy understood that much. But this fool completely believed Max was Anny's father.

Naturally, Max decide to play alone,

"What?! You dare to…"

"Hey, Nicol was he drunk at that time?" Without letting Nedd finish his outburst, Max suddenly questioned Nicol seriously.

Nicol was sad and embarrassed, she slowly nodded looking down. She felt overwhelming shame,

"What?! Really?! What did you see in him?"

Nicol seemed intelligent and gentle woman. Max really couldn't think how she fell for nobody, gangster-like this Vampire.

"Heh! Oh! I will show you what she saw in me, kill him" Unable to endure any more, Nedd ordered his brethren.

Vampires didn't disobey Nedd's call. As the former gangsters, killing wasn't much. All their eyes shone with a white glow, sinister expressions shuddered their faces.

Nicol also frightened, unknowingly she hid behind Max. On the contrary to Nicol and Anny, Max smiled without fear. He patted Anny's back taking her attention.

"Hey, Anny do you want to see something cool?" After the little girl looked him, Max, asked in a playful tone.

Not only Anny but Nicol also stare at him curiously. Nicol was thinking why he is so playful even in a time like this? Can't he see those monsters coming to kill us?

Max looked back at Nedd closing in "Anny go to your mother, I will take care of this baddie"

"No! Daddy, please don't leave me, I don't want you to leave" to his surprise Anny hug his neck tightly as she could. She started crying again, loudly.

"Hey, baby, daddy isn't going anywhere, I will never leave you," Max said feeling anxiety coming from the little girl. "Just go to your mother and daddy will show you something cool, ok"

"Promise?" Anny looked pitifully at Max's eyes. Pearl-like tears rolling down on her cheeks. However, Max thought her pitiful look is so cute.

Handing over Anny to her mother Max kissed forehead "Promises! Now quickly close your eyes and don't open them until I say"

"Umu mm!" Little Anny quickly nodded and close her eye. A small smile involuntarily came to her small mouth.

Max smiled at confused and scared Nicol. He could see her clear eye reflecting incoming Vampire for a heavy strike. He didn't care about those low lives, suddenly his deep blue eyes took bright red glow, it was so bright even distracted Nicol turned surprised.

"Hey, baby, open your eyes now," Max called obedient little girl. She never tried to peek, completely believing Max.

"Whaaa!! Daddy, they are so bright, daddy is super cool" Anny screamed in delight. She didn't show an ounce of fear toward the strange phenomenon.

"Oh! Yeah?! Then see this" as he said his smile grow wider, suddenly he turned around sending a heavy punch toward Vampire just step into his strike zone.

*Boom!*

A boom rang out, Vampire was sent flying. He hit the thick concrete wall, it was fast and heavy, spiderweb-like cracks spread from the point of impact.

It was none other than Nedd, Nicol's ex-husband

Nicol and twenty or so vampires startled by the sudden deafening boom. Her eyes shoot up, Vampires stop their tracks in fright.

However, the little girl was different. Her eyes sparkled, she looked at wasted Nedd, then back at smiling Max,

"Daddy is so strong" Her voice was so excited, it's overflowing with cuteness.

Max also felt happy, showing off in front of a little girl, but before he could reply, Nedd stood up glaring savagely.
