A Thousand Years Later

After a long sleep I finally woke up. What greeted me was a face of a giant snake hissing directly at my face.

'Wasn't I sleeping on top of a mountain?'

Why was I faced to faced with a snake inside a cave. Well no cave now since I destroyed a half of the mountain when I attacked unconsciously just now.

No worries tho, Earth Guardian just did a rewind using his time controlling ability. All good now except for that snake and if I remember correctly I didn't create any snakes inland. Did the sea snakes mutate and migrated here?

Weird but okay, now let's check what progress my planet has made.

I roamed the whole planet and saw some new things which made me excited.

I saw lots of species with variations from their base form. Like the bear with horns or the bull with a sting like tail.The bee beasts who can make hives in clouds.

There are now three strong kings in this planet. The most impressive one is the king of the tigers. Followed by the king of the sharks and bears.

Each of them was massive in size. Atleast two times larger than a normal one. They each have a large territory.

There were also some weaker leaders in other species. They take a region that isn't part of the three king's territory and take it for themselves and rule there.

I even saw some gang fights from the bulls and the horses. Their fight looked fun, the horses running around the bulls kicking them from time to time.

The bulls also fought back, they whipped their tail around hitting some unfortunate horses with it.

The guardians also made a change, Earth took root in the center of the biggest continent in the planet. While Sky made a freakin castle on the sky made up of clouds, I saw him swatting some unfortunate bees who tried to enter the palace.

Sea did a pretty good job on her floating island. I saw some beasts living there, It was even stronger compared to those outside but of course not including the kings.

Now that we are done with the main dish, lets spice things up and lets create my humanoid beings.

After another 1000 years sleeping

I woke up 50 years ago. After the creation of the beasts I made my first humanoid species. I then slept for another one thousand years.

I created the Nova race, they posess the basic appearance of a human but with additions.

Their lifespan is about three hundred years and they have retractable wings, third eye and horns for coolness.

The male Novas have two horns on each side of their head while the female has one, just right above their third eye.

The Nova race progressed suprisingly good even with the danger of the beasts. I situated them at the continent where the weakest monsters live.

I didn't dare to put them anywhere near the strong beasts like the beast kings or they probably would have been wiped out.

For their survival I made them a power system which they can rely on to live. The Runes, this is dropped by each beasts they kill.

I gave the first novas runes each, I didn't want to risk their early extinction if they fought the beasts without any runes.

Each Rune has a power inside which they can use to defend themselves. Examples are the runes of Fire, Water, Earth and Wind.

There are varieties of runes but these are the most common ones.

You can assimilate Runes to your body as many as you can, but of course there's a big downside to that.

You will have a hard time on the first Gate of the Rune Assimilation which is the Rune Nurturing.

Rune Nurturing is separated by nine stages and done by absorbing Life energy and giving it to your rune.

Next gate is Rune Fusing this only has one stage but it is calculated by percentage.

You can't break through a stage if one of your runes doesn't have enough Life energy stored for the breakthrouh.

Thats why having two or more runes is twice or more harder than having only one.

The advantage of having multiple runes is if EVER you breakthrough till the ninth stage of the Rune Nurturing and made it through the second gate which is the Rune Fusing you will be a lot stronger than an average one obviously.

If you broke through the ninth stage of the Rune Nurturing with two runes, you will be twice as strong than those who broke through with only one.

I have only seen one with two fused runes and that is the current city that I'm now residing in, Lord Sirael Reige. I'm waiting for those determined ones like him, those who choose the hard way.

I'll wait for the Novas to explore the whole planet that I especially designed for them.

Right now I'm enjoying my life being a librarian in the current largest city of the Rass Continent. The first city to ever appear, the Samak City which was named after the Golden Serpent Samak.

And yes Samak is the serpent that revolves around the planet.

I have been doing this for the past 50 years and I've met a lot of interesting people.

I'm about to meet another one.

Where was the library located again? Where did they put that building. I need to look for a book which provides details of each runes that we discovered for the past thousand years.

I got a rune when I was eighth from killing a wood like creature in our backyard. Father was very angry at me that time because I wasted my first rune to a useless one. He punished me for that.

I was so angry at him that I didn't nurture it properly and only broke through the first stage when I was 14.

Now that i'm 17 and is about to breakthrough to the Rune Fusing stage I noticed that my rune is very different from everyone. That's why I need to see that book.

"Hey you! yes you, do you know where the library is at?" I asked a passing stranger.

"L- Lady Jeia its just behind that building." He pointed.

"Hmph"

I immediately flew to that building, flying isn't allowed in the city but I am the daughter of the City Lord so who would dare to arrest me?

The city guards won't even blink if I caused chaos here . Perks of being the daughter of a City Lord.

I went inside the library and was awed at the sight I saw.

The library was in a cylinder shape going underground, in the center there's a large crystal that emits a smooth light.

The library has a total of ten floors going downwards not up and each floor has a lobby where we can read our borrowed books.

I walked to the librarians desk and asked him if he knew where the book I was looking is located at.

The librarian was an average looking guy. Gray hair and normal horns. The only noticeable thing to him is his red third eye.

'Never saw a red third eye before it must be a mutation.'

"Hey! hey!! heyyy!!!" I had so shout three times before he noticed. He was so focused on reading the book 'How to Catch Winged Bulls'.

"Oh? It's on the third floor with book number 682." He answered without looking.

"What? I haven't even said what book I was looking for yet." I replied.

"You didn't? I clearly heard you asking earlier." he said still without looking.

"I'm looking for a book which lists the runes which the Nova race discovered for the past thousand years!" I said with a hint of anger.

"Same answer."

"You!" I pointed at him. "If ever the book number you gave me is wrong I'll have my father remove you at your job! hmph." I said that and rushed to the third floor.

'Hmm book 682... there! Let's get this book and see how he will beg for forgiveness.'

I was excitedly rushing to the book when I saw it's title from a distance.

'Book of Runes'

*Lol dope name, god tier naming sense*

'How's that possible?!

'Does he have a rune of foresight or something?'

I absentmindedly took the book and went to the third floor lobby.

What an interesting kid, she killed the first ever creation of the Guardian of Earth and even got a rune out of it.

'I wonder how Earth would react to this hahahaha'

How did she even kill it and how did that little guy slip out of Earth's territory.

The Rune of Life, I hope she won't waste that Rune..
