Her Problem
The dining area was exceptionally quiet and also created an awkward silence. Anna also doesn't want to initiate any conversation so she left with Rahul the moment she finished her breakfast.
In car
"What did you guys talk about? And why didn't you come for me first? And why were you also quiet with them in the dining area? Did you guys plan out something against me? Why did they stop you coming for me? And you didn't even mention being Late Again or something why? Say something!!" Anna said impatiently.
Rahul knew she wanted to ask these questions since breakfast, also that she will eventually ask him the moment they will step out from the main door and he appreciates that she actually holds herself back this long because for her these half an hour must be like a half day.
"Nothing just some usual stuffs which I will discuss with you this evening so don't ask me any other question just sit quiet and have some patience as a mature person" Rahul said expressionlessly
"Hey what do you mean, am I not mature? You think I will act like a kid and bother you with it. Hello brother, I am actually not that much curious, I just wanted to share some of your burden with me. You wanna tell me in the evening ``OK I will wait as a good mature sister hmph!.." Anna said proudly with a small pout.
Today Anna have lots of work but her mind was all concentrated about what Rahul gonna say. She tried to brought up conversation in lunch break but Rahul also did her best to ignore all her questions by putting up another question to distract her. Anna also somehow knew about the topic but she wanted to confirm so that she can confront with all the demands.
Last evening came and now both are sitting in front of each other.
"Marriage? Hahahaha very funny, if you want to fight come to the ground hmph!!!" Anna tried to end the conversation before it started going against her, because she never wins when she is trying to be stubborn in front of him. She knows that what she believes is unreasonable but she has her own reasons. She got up and started going towards the door.
Rahul knew it won't be easy to have a normal talk with her related to this. 'don't know but she always gives up on this topic why?'. He stood in front of her "why?"
"You know me very well my friend I will never destroy my soo cool life with marriage, even if you sell me off hmph!! Get away I don't wanna talk to you" Anna said to ignore the seriousness
He holds her wrist and pulls her back to their private table.
"Talk with me Anna, I am not going to force you ever, you know that too. Soon let's talk. Ok? Don't get hyper I know that it's not compulsory to get married and you're not obliged to anyone so calm down let's talk" Rahul said gently.
"I don't know, you talk, you say, I am listening but don't expect that you can convince me." She started filling up her stomach with pastries in front of her.
Rahul didn't say a word for 15 minutes. He wanted her to get her thoughts straight and get a little bit calm so that she would be able to say things without discomfort.
Anna also doesn't want to avoid these things but she knows that what she wants is kind of impossible but she wants to share her thoughts but doesn't know how to say them.
Suddenly someone tapped on her shoulder for her to look back. The moment Anna saw the person who tapped she jumped on him directly without thinking about the place or environment.
Yagya also tries to balance himself so that he won't fall back with his koala. Yagya patted her hair gently to give her warmth. Rahul called him this morning to discuss this marriage issue. All her friends including Yagya and Rahul already got married except her. It's not that it's compulsory but he also knows that somehow she also needs a life partner. He knows that Anna is never comfortable with these topics so he also decided to join them.
After getting off from him Anna holds his arm and starts telling him about her day as like diary entries which she always does at night through call or voice message.
After listening to her for continuous 10 minutes Yagya put a full stop. And directly came to the main agenda without beating around the bush.
"So tell us clearly why you don't want marriage in your life?"
Anna put up a puppy face and looked at him cutely and said "Because I can't bear the pain of separation from mom, dad and brother."
"Are you gonna say it or we will go. I am not blackmailing you. I just want you to tell us your problem and if there is no problem you should try blind dates at least." Yagya said strictly.
"Anna I will never force you to get married. You are very important to me. I can't see you messing up with your life without having a proper reason. If there's really a true reason i'll stop right away" Rahul said while giving a light squeeze to her hand which was on table, holding him.
"Why can't I live alone? It's not like I am starting a new custom for the upcoming generation. People do live alone. Many important figures choose to live single and alone, so why can't I do that? I wanna live alone that's my choice and I achieved this much so that I won't be a burden on anyone. Why you guys don't understand this little thing" Anna said sadly.
"Because it's not a little thing sissy. We are not saying that marriage is compulsory, we just don't want you to live your whole life alone because of any improper reason. Right now maybe you are right or maybe you are wrong but when you will get old, what if you will regret your decision? This life is not so short, it's a very very long sister"... Yagya said while hugging her shoulder.
