Shoto's Upgrade!

The next day

Olvia went off and Galan went to a bar where Blueno was, sitting down and ordering a drink. He didn't know that Blueno was a CP9 agent!

Everyone was looking at him and Galan observed their looks. He took notice of Blueno's strange look, analyzing it as he hung his head over a glass of Whiskey.

Everyone watched this in horror.

Aizen stared at the screen, his eyes locked on Galan's figure as his thoughts were revealed to everyone!

Galan took in Blueno's strange gaze, sensing jealousy, envy, and annoyance. Galan concluded that Blueno was the one spying on them through the bug last night.

Olvia had told him that Kalifa's muscles were extremely well developed for just an assistant, so Kalifa was in CP9 as well.

He put together the pieces of the newspaper very quickly.

Straw Hats attacking Iceberg was nonsense, so that only leaves CP9 who framed them. Robin was with a masked man who was mostly CP9 but why would she go with them. Iceberg said that Robin was at the scene of the crime and shot him, he didn't doubt it.

Otherwise Iceberg would've been dead already, but Robin wouldn't kill someone innocent, he was actually very sure of this fact.

He ordered another drink, staring at Blueno, who clicked his tongue slightly, pouring him another drink without realizing that Galan saw him clicking his tongue.

Galan sipped his drink slowly, Robin was strong so why did she go with CP9. Judging from Kalifa's strength the leader of CP9 must be stronger than her but by how much? It was impossible that he was stronger than Robin because the CP9 teams were in a varying range of strength. The leader couldn't be too much stronger than the weakest member or it would throw the balance off.

Galan concluded that Robin wasn't staying by force, but she was being threatened.

From what he knew of Robin, the only thing that could scare her was him or a Buster Call. He went on thinking that it must be a Buster Call because they couldn't have known that he would be coming to Water 7 beforehand.

He swirled his glass, Giovanni had told him that Robin was quite attached to the crew and Galan was sure that she wasn't heartless. So that leaves a very simple answer, they didn't threaten Robin with the Buster Call, but the Crew instead, forcing her to cooperate.

This means that she made some sort of deal with CP9 to let them escape while giving herself up to the Government to protect them. Since Kuzan knew that CP9 was on the island, the Buster Call might not be a bluff at all, but a very real threat.

Galan ordered another drink since a blue haired guy was paying and Blueno poured him another as Galan thought quickly. If you put all the pieces together, CP9 was after Iceberg for something. They wouldn't go after him for no reason, so it had to be important….

Galan knew that Tom the shipwright had two apprentices, one of them being Iceberg but the other supposedly died. But if they needed Iceberg himself they could've just taken him, no they needed something that he had.

Otherwise Iceberg wouldn't be so familiar with Kalifa and the drinkers here wouldn't know Blueno so well.

He closed his eyes and thought like an agent.

Further persecution for Tom's crimes, what a joke. I don't care about that.

Tom built the Seatrain, giving us the Blueprints. I don't need them. But Iceberg has something, we also need Nico Robin.

Robin can read Poneglyphs, Poneglyphs hold ancient knowledge… Iceberg has ancient knowledge and Robin can read it for me. Only my CP9 unit can do such an important task, meaning the payload is extremely precious.

We would even silence all of Water 7 with a Buster Call to keep this a secret. Very precious secret… It doesn't matter about the ships we would lose, what we could gain is so much more…

He opened his eyes and drank his whiskey, getting up and leaving.

So they were looking for an Ancient Weapon, got it.

[5 Elders: We are ordering the murder of Galan! Immediately!]

[Tony Stark: HE WAS RIGHT?!]

[Aizen: Hahahahaha! Excellent!]

The Straw Hat crew stared at the screen in disbelief!

[Franky: From one look?! What the fuck!]

[IM: Incredible…]

[Blueno: It was MY fault!?]

[Natasha Romanoff: Heh… Don't beat yourself up about it… This is the scariest man I've ever seen in my life.]

[Bruce Banner: Scarier than the Hulk?]

[Natasha: Much, much more… From a single look he could deduce the plans of Government Agents trained in espionage and infiltration, having worked on this operation for years now… Remember, he only got to Water 7 yesterday, and he knew nothing at that time!]

[Renji Abarai: What the hell is this monster!? I'm getting goosebumps!]

[Starlight: I'm dizzy…]

[Natasha: Haha… This screen shows major points, not everything… The real terror is… who else is included in his plans? What's his real plans that nobody else knows? Who knows who else is just a chess piece for him… I'm thankful he's not in our Universe.]

[Nico Olvia: Watch your mouth. Stop slandering him for no reason!]

[Natasha: Are you sure you're not just part of his plans too? What if everything was fake?]

[Nico Olvia: Heh. So what? If he fooled me too then I'm happy to be of use!]

Everyone was shocked.

Galan looked at Olvia, his eyes trembling. She turned to him and smiled lovingly, he sighed and looked at her sadly "You're really a stupid woman." she smiled at him and replied "I know. A stupid woman in love."

Galan sighed and shook his head, pulling her into his chest and whispering "You're not a pawn… I can't prove it to you, but…" she reached out and kissed him deeply, saying with a soft voice, "You don't have to, Galan… It doesn't matter anyway."

Galan looked at her deeply, letting out a deep breath from his nose.

The screen continued!

Olvia came to him telling him that she parked the ship in a garage for Aqua Laguna. Galan nodded and told her in a whisper about CP9's plans and what they did. Olvia showed uncharacteristic fear, gripping him tightly and shaking as she muttered the words Buster Call with intense fear.

Galan hugged her tight and said 'There's nothing to fear, Olvia. I'm here. Nothing can hurt you.' she looked up at him in a daze and kissed him, standing on her tiptoes, extremely passionate as he felt someone watching and hugged her waist.

She broke off from him, looking into his eyes and saying very seriously 'I love you, truly.' Galan stared at her for a moment before looking away, replying 'I know. It's unfortunate.' as he pulled her away.

She complained happily that he could say it back but he told her that he wouldn't and that she should hate him for it. She laughed and told him it was impossible. Galan sighed and told her that she'll be a very sad woman in the future. She skipped with light steps replying 'Who knows~!'

Galan ignored her after that.

He asked her while walking if she had the bug and she snowed him before he told her to put it in Iceberg's room. They walked into a crowd and disappeared instantly.

A while later

Olvia was listening to the bug in Iceberg's room from a roof as Galan stood next to her, she narrated what was going on and he listened. She got all the CP9 agents and found out that Cutty Flam or Franky had the blueprints for Pluton.

Galan didn't care, remembering the idiot from the bar in the morning. What was he going to use an Ancient Weapon for? It was better that it was destroyed. She told him that the building was going up in flames in 2 minutes with everyone in it.

Galan tilted his head asking when the Seatrain leaves for Enies Lobby, instantly figuring out where they were going. Olvia gave him a time and Galan rolled his eyes in thought before making a call and replacing the good marines on Enies Lobby with bad ones, sending the good ones out to his Blue Expansion plan.

He replenished the forces that left with ones from Marineford before ending the call.

He snorted and looked down at the building that went up in flames, telling Olvia to go save people. She disappeared and Galan threw out a Warlord letter in front of Nami before looking out at Aqua Laguna, lighting a cigarette as he tossed Galley-La employee files into the raging flames of the Headquarters.

He really hoped that whoever had the Buster Call really did it.

In Galan's view there wasn't a single Marine on Enies Lobby. Only Scum.

A bit later

Olvia and Galan were watching the huge waves and Olvia was shocked. Galan tried to smoke but she crushed every cigarette until he gave up, replying that this year was really bad.

They saw a special train shoot out of Water 7 and charge towards Enies Lobby. Olvia was shocked asking if that was who she thought it was. Galan nodded telling her that it was indeed Luffy and his crew going after Robin.

He was hoping that the Buster Call happened while Robin was on the island. He sighed to himself and shook his head.

The screen paused.

[Nico Robin: !! Why?!]

The system was very kind!

[Question: Why did Galan hope that Robin was there for the Buster Call?]

Everyone was silent and frowning…

[Shot Todoroki: Because he wants her to overcome her fear.]

[Nico Robin: !!!]

[Correct!]

[Reward: Quirk Upgrade- Ice-Ice and Flame-Flame Fruits!]

[Kuzan: ???????]

[Ace: ????????]

Shoto was sitting in class in a daze before he groaned.

The class looked at him and Aizawa was stunned! All-Might grabbed Shoto and disappeared out the hole Ochako made.

The class scrambled to see.

Shoto exploded into ice and flames, roaring out as everything around him was covered in ice and fire!

Shoto looked like a monster, half his body made of ice, the other of pure flames. He was stunned and looked at his hands. He pressed them into the air and two pillars of ice and fire exploded out of them!

He melted the ice quickly, not having full control yet, before turning back to normal.

Class-1A ran outside and patted Shoto happily saying how cool he was!

Aizawa walked over and looked at Shoto saying "And?" Shoto clenched his fists, saying "I feel invincible…"

[Kuzan: This is unbelievable! Both fruits!? Why?]

[Enji Todoroki: Because he had an ice and fire quirk.]

[Aizawa: Help?]

[Vegapunk: Hehe! Little boy! You are something! I think perhaps you are invincible in your world! These fruits are both classified as Logia types, meaning that your body is composed of Elemental elements. In other words, physical attacks will have no effect on you!]

Shoto's mouth was wide open as he said "Someone hit me." Katsuki punched him in the face and Shoto's head exploded into ice.

Toru was shocked and shouted "You killed him!" Katsuki was stunned and everyone watched as Ice formed Shoto's face again. He looked at himself and said "Mr. Aizawa, cut me in half."

Momo was stunned and touched his forehead, asking with worry "Are you developing bad habits?! We can help, you know!" Shoto was stunned and blushed "N-No… I just wanted to test something…" Momo blushed and looked away, covering her mouth with her hand in shyness.

The class was stunned at this sequence of events.

Aizawa thought about it, wrapping his binding cloth around Shoto's stomach before pulling hard. Shoto snapped in half and his upper half turned into flames before condensing his body again.

He clenched his fists and laughed excitedly.

[Vegapunk: I think… It's not an exaggeration either… This boy, maybe Ice would've canceled his flame elementalization but since he has the Ice fruit, it doesn't matter anymore. If nobody has Haki or something similar, he might truly be invincible!]

[Kuzan: Don't blow up his ego… Listen kid, two powers in the same body… I've never seen it before, but it shouldn't be so easy to control. Not to mention, they cancel each other out. Don't get cocky with your power otherwise you'll be in serious trouble one day.]

[Ace: Yeah! Plus, who needs Ice? Just use the flames, so much better! Ah! Also! It's not just shooting out flames, but you can do a lot more! I have a move where I let out little balls of flames that explode into raging fires on contact, it's called Firefly. Basically, what I'm trying to say is, your control over Ice and Fire should be much more refined!]

[Kuzan: Right. If you train hard enough, you can freeze just about anything. I've frozen an entire island before. But I've also frozen one certain person in a crowd of 100 panicking civilians.]

[Ace: Yeah!]

[Vegapunk: Very good! Listen, Devil Fruits are the power of desire within Humans. Essentially, the abilities you can create and how you use the power is quite literally limitless! The only thing stopping you is your imagination! You could make your fire explode under you for flight or shoot out an extremely thin beam, it's all up to you!]

[Vegapunk: White Hot Flames, Nearly Absolute Zero Ice, everything is in your hands. All you need to do is train hard and use your little imagination! Although! There hasn't been anyone to train the Ice fruit to Absolute Zero.]

[Kuzan: Hah… Yeah right, If you could go to Absolute Zero you could- !!!]

[Vegapunk: QUASAR! Exactly! Little Todoroki, if you can achieve Absolute Zero, you can even freeze Time itself!]

Shoto was dazed, muttering "Freeze… Time!?"

Katsuki frowned and felt things were getting out of hand, he needed a power up too! He squinted and decided the next question he was going to answer! He wasn't going to lose!

Izuku complimented Shoto happily as All-Might loomed over them, smiling "Little Todoroki! We have to chat!" Izuku and Ochako froze, Shoto's lips twitched… Katsuki clenched his fists and blew up with rage.

Next question…

He'll slaughter it!

Bullet looked at Shoto from the class, watching from the hole in the wall as everyone was happily congratulating Todoroki. He held a white mask in his hand and rubbed it with his thumb, feeling like he was getting more useless…

How was he meant to fight Shoto now?

Even water didn't work, the Ice would freeze it.

And he couldn't beat him with technique because he was invulnerable now…

Bullet looked down at Shoto, tilting his head as a voice in his head sounded erratically "Hero… Hero! Hero!" Bullet agreed with the voice, clenching the mask. Shoto felt something and looked up to see Bullet staring a hole through his head, uncharacteristically not afraid at all.

Shoto was stunned and Bullet changed faces, looking self-conscious as he turned away, leaving the classroom.

Bullet walked down the halls as a screen stayed in front of him. He looked at the chat seeing everyone congratulating Shoto, even Endeavor was happy… Momo's parents also congratulated him.

Meanwhile, Bullet didn't know what to do. His only advantage was taken away. Everyone who passed him looked at him with disgust and hate.

He was in the Hero course but he didn't even have a quirk! Yet they were here in the General Studies course with Quirks…

Bullet looked down with a troubled look on his face, meanwhile the voice in his head went on "Fake! Fake Hero! Fake Heroes! Angry!" Bullet didn't know what to do.

He walked to a training area that was used for the school and started training himself.

He couldn't answer questions, so he couldn't get these magical powers.

The only thing he could do was train countless times harder than everyone else!

He was the only one in the training area, everyone else was watching the videos and chatting… However he was usually alone here. The students weren't huge on training their bodies.

As Bullet trained harder than anyone else, a mouse watched him from his office in silence.

The screen continued
