Ch.44 Pirate Hunter Roronoa Zoro

　"IDIOT! I SAID RUN!" Zoro yelled louder giving Koby a fright. And yet, Koby smiled as he realized that Zoro was being concerned about him.

　"I won't run away anymore! I will save you!" Koby exclaimed.

　"You idiot! You're gonna die here!"

　"He, hehehe. I hope not..."

　The marines were getting closer towards them until finaly, Morgan raised his hand signaling his men to stop.

　"Very good Roronoa! Do you think calling your friends here will save you from death?" Morgan muffled voice came from behind his steel jaw.

　"MEN!" Morgan raised his hand once again on cue.

　'CLACK...'

　The marine behind Morgan began to took a shooting positions, half of them were kneeled and the other half while standing. All of them aimed their riffles towards Zoro and Koby seemingly hopeless!

　Just before Morgan intends to bring his hand down, he watched there was suddenly another person appeared right besides Zoro's stake.

　The marines behind him also began to broke their ranks slightly in panic after they saw the familiar figure over there!

　"Tha....Thaaats!"

　"Ca, Captain that person is...."

　"White Ghost! Whats he doing here?!"

　The marines murmured louder and louder as they saw the dreaded East Blue new rookies sudden appearance!

　"SILENT!" Morgan shouted as he too feels the situation became tricky.

　On Zoro side, Koby breathe a sigh of relief when he saw Rei appeared besides him.

　"Re, Rei? Where did you go?"

　"Rei?" Zoro also felt another person presence at his back, when he turned his head around he was stunned!

　"White Ghost...!" Zoro gritted his teeth seeing Rei familiar figures, moreover he saw his sword was on Rei's waist!

　"That swo...."

　"Long time no see Pirate Hunter, you look awful..." Rei chuckled and cut Zoro's speech short.

　'Shink...'

　"Koby back off..." Rei said towards Koby as the later nodded and took a few steps back.

　Rei drew the white handle sword out of his scabbard. He admired it slightly and swung it at the rope which bounded Zoro's arms. As the rope came off Zoro felt quite complicated.

　Rei was his opponent back then. He fought and lost against the former. Now, His once opponent of him had helped him out of his current predicament, he didn't know what to think about Rei.

　Meanwhile, seeing his enemies being nonchalant at the distance, Morgan couldn't help but felt his blood boils!

　Morgan finaly shouted an order to his panicked Marines, "WHAT ARE YOU BASTARD DAWDLING FOR?! SHOOT THEM!! NOW!!!"

　The marines actualy didn't want to risk poking the notorious White Ghost now. However, Morgan's order was absolute! His iron hand tyrannical rules were engraved deeply in their mind!

　In instant, one of the marine pulled the trigger while the rest followed!

　'BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! .....'

　Koby who had his attention at the marines couldn't help but screamed when his saw them shooting at the trio, "REEEEEEEIIII.....!"

　Rei and Zoro also realized that, and yet the former only put a smirk on his face as he glanced upwards.

　'Bam....'

　All of a sudden Luffy landed right in front of the trio! He spread his arms and legs wide to covers his friends behind from the bullets!

　'Pyooooooong.....'

　His body stretched backwards at the spot where each bullet had hit him! And after their momentum halted, Luffy snapped his body outwards, bouncing the bullets back towards the marines!

　"HAHAHAHHAHA! It won't work!!!" Luffy laughed as he didn't feel anything from the shooting.

　"Uwaaaaah!"

　"Whats that? how can our bullet bounced back?"

　"Devil fruit! Captain heeelp!!!"

　When he saw an anomaly, Morgan immediately steps away from where he stood and letting his subordinates body became his shield of the returning bullets.

　Seeing how the situation turns around, Luffy looked back at his friends behind and chuckled, "Shishishi....Everyone all right?"

　"Luffy!" Koby felt his legs losing strength and lets his exhausted body slumped down.

　"You're late..." Rei sniggered at him while Zoro kept his silents as he focused on Rei.

　Sensing Zoro's gaze, Rei chuckled once more and swinging the later's sword playfully.

　Luffy put his attention at Zoro and claimed shamelessly, "Your sword is here! Now, you're my crew! Shishishi..."

　Zoro staggered hearing Luffy, he tried to put a stern face while trying to hide his embarassment. His earlier words about joining Luffy if the later could take his sword back was actualy on a whim! He didn't think Luffy would be able to succesfully retrieved it. Well, technically it was Rei who got his sword.

　Zoro asked back towards Luffy while he kept Rei on his eyes, "Is this guy also your crew?"

　"Rei? Yeah! He is my first crew!"

　Zoro looked back and forth between Luffy and Rei, "Rei? Do you not know who he is?"

　Luffy tilted his head and asked, "Who? Rei is Rei right?"

　"He is the White Ghost!" Exclaimed Zoro.

　Rei didn't care about Luffy and Zoro exchange, he still busy admiring Zoro's Wadō Ichimonji on his hand. As for Zoro, he was stunned as Luffy replies wasn't quite of what he had expected.

　"Hahahahaha...See? Rei! Even Zoro think you're a ghost! Don't worry Zoro, Rei looks like one. But he's alive!" Luffy laughed hard.

　Zoro was dumbfounded by Luffy reaction, as he wanted to says more, Rei voice interrupting him.

　"Guys, we have situation here..." Told Rei as he watched the marines charging towards them.

　Luffy grinned as he got ready for brawl and Zoro called Rei, "Thats my sword!"

　"Ah, sorry. It was so beautiful i almost forgot! Huhuhu..." Rei chuckled and sheated the swords back and threw it towards its rightful owner.

　Zoro feels relieved with his sword now back.

　"Luffy, get that despicable Morgan, leave the rest to me..." Rei asked as he vanished from the spot.

　Luffy locked his eyes towards the muscular steel jaws man behind the charging marines, then he grinned, "Leave him to me, shishishi..."

　Rei had his reason of why he chose to fight the underlings rather than the boss. G-Points! Thats right, rather than defeating the Boss which he would only got 10pts, he chose to masacre enemies underlings which by no means, a lot!

　And so the brawl began, The marines helplessly charged against their unwanted enemy who was the infamous White Ghost!

　 Using shunshin, Rei suddenly appeared in the middle of Marines and punched towards the nearest target.

　'BOOOM...'

　Rei controlled how much power he put in his fist and it still made his target flung towards another marines!

　Seeing the White Ghost besides him, another marine slashed his sword at him in panic.

　'Bats...'

　'Swisshh....'

　Rei calmly dodged towards his attacker side, he grabbed his arm and throw him aimlessly! The marine screamed as his body struck onto several of his mates.

　Zoro didn't stood still, he draws his swords and began to target another marine from the far side, and yet,

　"Don't kill anyone Roronoa!" Yelled Rei as he continue his massacre in close combat.

　Zoro clicked his tongue in displeasure but he still heeded Rei's warning. So, he turned his swords upside down and slashing through the marine ranks with his swords back.

　'Slash! Slash! Slash....'

　'Thud, thud, thud.....'

　Rei and Zoro wrecking havoc against the 153rd branch marines, it was so easy as the marines themself had already feeling downcasted to go against Rei!

　Their morale was getting lower and lower, as more than 100 marines numbers getting dwindling down quickly! moreover, their enemies were just only 2 persons!

　On Luffy side, after he heard Rei's spoke. He didn't tarry, Luffy slammed his flexible limbs against the ground and launched him airborne, his target was Captain Morgan whom from the start hasn't moved much from his spot.

　"Gomu Gomu no Yari!" Luffy stretches his leg, and swing it in wide-circular manner intending to kick Morgan on the ground.

　Morgan who already noticed Luffy peculiar attack, couldnt help but squinted his eyes. grunted slowly he raised the huge axe hand to shield him from the incoming attack.

　'BAM!'

　Luffy kick had been stopped by Morgan's axe as he exclaimed, "Devil Fruit!"

　"Wow! You can stop that?" Exclaimed Luffy back as he landed not far from Morgan.

　Morgan didn't answers Luffy, he charges wildly as he swung his axe towards Luffy.

　'Bang!'

　Luffy sidestepped quickly dodging such slow attack.

　"Gomu Gomu no Pistol!"

　'BAM!'

　Morgan grunted as Luffy attack succesfully struck his ribs! However, he held on as he swung his Axe in circle wildly.

　"BASTARD!"

　'Swish swish swish....'

　Like a tornado, Morgan spinning his body while his axe-hand stretches out, hoping to get Luffy in the way.

　And yet, Morgan was still too slow for Luffy! Seeing his opponent side was wide open, Luffy gave morgan a stretches of side kick!

　"Gomu Gomu no Muchi!"

　'Booom!'

　This time Morgan couldn't help but staggering aside and stopping his attack.

　"Cough*...Shitty Devil fruit user!" Spitting out the blood, Morgan face turns grim as he felt his ribs had broken!

　In the meantime, Rei and Zoro finaly dealt the last marines who still standing. The former smirked as he counted how many enemies he had dealt compared to Zoro.

　「Ding! You have defeated the enemies, you got 89G-pts, current G-points : 146. 」

　After he dealt with Alvida's crews back then, Rei got 37 G-pts, adding those with the newly acquired points, he had 146 points now.

　Noticing Rei's gestures, Zoro couldn't help but clicked his tongue feeling upset.

　"You attacked first thats not fair!" Zoro harrumphed slowly.

　"Hahahaha, the results counts Roronoa!" Rei laughed hearing Zoro sorry excuse.

　All around the duo, marines unconscious bodies laid everywhere under their feet. Then, Rei began to watch Luffy fight in interests while Zoro sulked following the former from behind.

　Morgan adjusted his breath as he getting ready for the next round. Luffy grinned as he too prepared for a few techniques to attack Morgan.

　However, just when both of them were in standstill.

　"STOP! STOP ALL OF YOU!"

　Helmeppo loud shriek could be heard on the field! Luffy, Rei, Zoro and even Morgan turned their heads towards him only to see Helmeppo hugged Koby's collar from behind and threaten him with a gun which pointed right at the laters forehead!

　Luffy yelled in surprise, "KOBY....!"

　Zoro squinted his eyes as he began to divide his attention towards Morgan and Helmeppo. Rei just felt nonchalant about it.

　Morgan laughed out loud as he thought victory was within his sight, then he yelled proudly, "GREAT WORK SON! SEEMS LIKE YOU HAVE YOUR OWN USE AFTER ALL! HAHAHAHA!"

　Morgan then raised his hand axe towards Luffy from his back!

　"Do...DON'T MOVE! OR, OR...I WILL KILL YOUR FRIEND!" Helmeppo stammered as he actualy didn't realy want to do this. and yet, due to his fear toward his father he just couldn't help it.

　As Morgan swung his huge axe downwards, Luffy grinned at Rei and Zoro. "Guys, go!"

　As if they had rehearsead it before, Rei and Zoro moved at the same time simultaneously! Rei went to Helmeppo as Zoro slashed his sword against Morgan!

　'BAM!'

　'SLASH!'

　"Uwaaaaakh...!" Helmeppo screamed as Rei swoop away his gun while his sole stomped right at the former's face and also Zoro succesfully stopped Morgan attack against Luffy's back!

　Morgan huge body slumped down powerlessly with a sword wound across his chest! his blood gushing out from it!

　Seeing himself, Rei, and Zoro tacit understanding. Luffy raised his thumbs up and laughed!

　Rei patted the blank faced Koby's shoulder who still in disbelief on how fast the situation could turns around.

　Zoro sighed as he took off his black bandana and tied it back on his right biceps.

　After no enemies could be seen standing on the field, all four of them walked away from the base leaving only a story to tell.
