Ch.38 White Mists

　"Chōkajugan no Jutsu."

　'CRAAAAAAAACK....!'

　'SQUEAAAAAAK....!'

　'CRAAAACKLEEEE...!!!"

　'SPLAAASH! SPLAAAAAH!'

　Seawater around Alvida's ship suddenly rolled and churned wildly! The pier instantly flooded by the tempestuous waves of seawater!

　However, that wasn't the things that made everyone presents dreadful, Alvida saw with her own bulging eyes how her ship slowly began to sink! Bubbles as big as house crashing violently coming out from the ship's hull.

　Wooden parts howling and roaring violently as the ship's own weight and its buoyancy struggled for supremacy against each other. Due to sudden weight increase, the calm and gentle seawater immediately became stout and wild towards the wooden ships!

　The heart-wrenching sounds of the ships struggling to keep itself afloat keep echoing loudly within the surrounding area.

　When seawater began to flood the ship's upper deck, Rei letting go of his hand and leaped towards the pier unknowingly.

　Rei sees his own technique Chōkajugan no Jutsu managed to sink an enormous Galleon Ship of Alvida Pirates seemingly without any resistance in less than 10 minutes!

　Alvida couldn't snap back to realities for a while, she was horrified! The only thing she had on her mind was only regrets! However, she still couldn't make up her mind whether to regret her decisions about how she decided to deal with Rei, or how she had fished Rei out from that damned small boat they had found!

　Finaly, the ship settled on the seabed. The only thing that could be seen from it were only 3 ship's masts soaring upwards.

　Everyone presents were gobsmacked! They stood rooted on the spot with pale face and cold sweat drenching their back. Rei then turned towards the pirates with a harmless smile.

　Seeing the smile, everyone took a step back unconsciously. As if they were being rehearsed, they scurried away in unison!

　"RUN! IT'S A TRUE WHITE GHOST!"

　"WHITE GHOST! WHITE GHOST HERE!"

　"THE RUMORS WERE TRUE! HE HAD SUNK 20 MARINE WARSHIPS!"

　"THATS WRONG! I HEARD ITS MORE THAN 50!!!"

　"WAAAAAAAAA....!!!"

　In the chaotic scene, Rei shrugged his shoulder before raising his right hand overhead and making another set of ninjutsu handseall!

　"Kirigakure no Jutsu...." Whispered Rei.

　'WHOOOOOSH..."

　Seawater suddenly evaporated and producing a thick fog which immediately covered around 250m wide area with Rei in its center.

　"WHA, WHAT HAPPENED?"

　"WHERE ARE YOU GUYS?"

　"WHY IS THERE A FOG NOW? GUUUYS!!!"

　"I can't see anything! MOMMY! I WANT TO GO HOME!"

　When the fog getting thicker and thicker, the pirates couldn't help but paused on their track! their senses of vision were being seized along with their direction! And as the situation were getting quiet, all of sudden!

　'BAM'

　'Thud!'

　'BAM'

　'Thud!'

　The standing pirates were getting mowed down one by one with unseen assault! Rei with his sharingan, perceived the anomaly of the nature chakra which surrounds the pirates and knock them down one by one within the fog!

　Seeing a white flash passing by accompanied by a strange sound, the remaining pirates were getting even more restless. They tried to move away from the fog, however it was a fruitless endeavour! The fog were seemingly without boundary while in fact they were running in circle clearly confused.

　As her pirate crews were being taken down one by one. Alvida which had unknowingly moved further back, stumbled upon her thrown weapon coincidently. Then after she took it and just fled from there as the white flash was getting closer towards her positions!

　Meanwhile...

　'POW!'

　"Uwaaakh....!"

　Koby were on the ground, groaning in pain while rubbing his swollen cheek!

　"Wh, why did you hit me?" Asked Koby in confusion towards Luffy with fist raised.

　"Thats because you left you friend on that ship!" Luffy spoke with stern face.

　However, Koby retorted and stood back, "I, I DON'T LEFT HIM! DIDN'T YOU HEAR ME? ALVIDA IS A....."

　"I DON'T CARE ABOUT AVIDA BEING PIRATE OR WHATEVER!" Luffy yelled as he grabed Koby's colar!

　"Koby! You already told me about what those pirates did to you! BUT, THATS NOT THE REASON TO LEAVE YOUR FRIEND BEHIND WHEN WE ESCAPE!!!"

　"I DON'T ESCAPE! I JUST...JUST, JUST..."

　Luffy flung Koby's away as he turned around and said, "You can leave wherever you want! I'll go save that horn guy...!"

　　"BUT THATS SUICIDE! YOU.., YOU!" Koby yelled while struggling to back on his feet.

　Luffy paused and replied without looking back, "Who said i'm going to suicide? I'm a man who will become a Pirate King in future! If i were to abandon my friend now, how can i become one?"

　Seeing Luffy's broad back, Koby couldn't help but felt awe radiating from it. Finaly he gritted his teeth and followed Luffy back to the pier.

　Koby was a boy with timid and cowardice personalities. However, he had those sense of justice on him screamed giving courages when he heard Luffy's speech just now!

　Yes! How can Koby become a marine Admiral in future if he were being cowardice and don't dare to save his friend now? He thought.

　 Sensing Koby followed him, Luffy smiled and couldn't help but changed his impressions.

　"Pirate King?" Asked Koby with swollen cheek.

　"Shishishi...yeah, you heard me! I Monkey D. Luffy will become Pirate King in future!"

　Koby scrutinized Luffy from top to bottom and commented, "You do know thats impossible ri...."

　"Impossible?" Cut Luffy's back and looked at Koby.

　Koby nodded, then he heard Luffy spoke once more, "...Then i will make it possible! Hahahaha! That's why i need crew! The best crew in the world!"

　Koby was silent. However, a moment later as if he was stuck with realization. He exclaimed, "So thats why you want to recruit Rei? Why? You don't even know him!"

　Luffy looked with disdain towards Koby and explained, "Because he is interesting! Did you see his horns? And his silver eyes?"

　Koby were speechless seeing Luffy's eyes were twinkling as if he was a child talking about a new toy! Rei was indeed has peculiar traits, but this man who claimed to be a pirate king in future wanted to recruit an unknown man he just met? Thats just riddiculous!

　Luffy asked, "I thought you want to run?"

　"No! And I, I think you are right. I have a dream in future, if i were to abandon Rei here. I don't think i can live with that fact."

　Koby was clearly nervous, but Luffy's presence and speech were somehow giving him a courage!

　Koby continue to spoke, "...And i, i also think. I had enough with Alvida and, and i also wants to fight back!"

　Seeing Koby's slouched back now staunch straight, Luffy grinned as he patted the former's back.

　"So? Whats your dream Koby?"

　"I, I euh...."

　Just as Koby was still undecided whether to tell Luffy or not about his dream, there was suddenly disturbance appeared right ahead!

　"KOBY.....!!!"

　Koby stopped nervously as he saw the dark faced Alvida carrying her spiked iron mace in the middle of the road!

　Alvida has rough breath and her eyes were bloodshot as if she wanted to eat Koby's alive then and there!

　"La...lady...." Just when Koby wants to addressed her politely, he suddenly remembered about his oath earlier! So he shut his mouth and keeping silent while watching Alvida in trepidation.

　"THERE YOU ARE! HOW DARE YOU!!!" Alvida wasn't sure at first who was it to gave Rei water while in ship. However, soon she began to think rather clearly on her escape!

　And the only person she thought would help that damned White Ghost was this timid boy stood in front of her! She however, didn't even put Luffy on her eyes as she focused towards Koby.

　"Wh. Why are you here?" Asked Koby after he gathered his courage.

　Alvida squinted her bloodshot eyes only to asked Koby's back, "Were you the one who gave that man water?"

　Koby tilted his head confused, however soon he got an idea, "You mean Rei? Why?

　"Rei? Rei did you said? YOU KNOW WHAT HE DID?"

　Suddenly Luffy spoke, he was clearly annoyed by the screams and yells coming from this fat old hag, "Enough! Will you stop screaming? If you wants to fight, then bring it on!"

　Alvida finaly turned her eyes towards Luffy, She frowned and shrieked loudly, "Shut up kiddo! You don't have any business here! Scram! Or i'll kill you!"

　'BAM!'

　Alvida put down her Iron Mace on the ground as she threatened Luffy menacingly.

　"Nishishishi...Kill me? Try it!" Luffy grinned as he steped forward only to feels his shoulder being grabed by Koby!

　"Hey, i'm quite strong you know." Assured Luffy as he looked back at Koby.

　The pink haired chubby boy however didn't answered Luffy, he keeps his eyes towards Alvida and yelled, "YES! I DID GAVE HIM WATER! HE WAS ALMOST DIED! AND YOU GUYS WANTS HIM DEAD!"

　Alvida's mouth were wide agape as the usualy timid and scaredy boy in front of her suddenly yelled at her! She squinted her eyes as she saw Koby were pushing it and the later clearly afraid of her as his legs were shaken.

　"Good! Very good! So you know already the consequences after betraying me right Koby? Not only you were helping the White Ghost! You also dared to stand against me?" Alvida snorted as she raised her Iron Mace ready to pounch at Koby's face!

　Tears already streamed down Koby's cheek as he yelled once again, "I HAD ENOUGH! YOU KIDNAPPED ME AND FORCED ME WORK AT PIRATES SHIP, YOU CALL YOURSELF A LADY? NO! YOU ARE CLEARLY AN OLD HAG! UWAAAAA..."

　At the end of his sentence, Koby screamed as he saw Alvida's fat body lunged forward as she aimed her Iron Mace right at his face!

　Just as Alvida's Iron Mace swung, Luffy pushed Koby away with a grinn!

　'WHAMMM!'

　"LUFFY....!!!" Koby shrieked in horror as the Iron Mace landed on Luffy's face head-on!

　When Koby panicked, Alvida felt weird sensation as her Iron Mace failed to delivers her expected reaction! It momentum feels dampened by Luffy's head!

　"Shishishishi...I told you don't worry..." Luffy grinned as the Iron Mace was still on his head.

　"What?" Alvida exclaimed as she heard Luffy's next words.

　"Gomu Gomu no Pistol!"

　'WHAM!'
