Buggy Beatdown

After Waking up I did another round of nen meditation while Momo did some combat practice, once Orange town was in sight I briefed Momo on what will most likely happen on the island "The first thing to take note of is that the Buggy pirates are occupying the town, while they have a clown theme they shouldn't be underestimated as not only does their captain have a devil fruit that allows him to split his body apart and control the parts as they fly around, while simultaneously making him immune to bladed weapons. His elites consist of a lion tamer and a skilled swordsman. Next is the fact that Nami is an inherently untrustworthy person and will most likely try to dump some of the pirates on us as she runs away and once on the crew she may try to steal from us so make sure the boat is locked before we get off"

Momo then voiced her opinion "Well that devil fruit does not seem to be too hard for us to deal with, we just need to keep sight of him so that he can't attack us from behind, but I don't understand why we want this Nami to join us if she is a thief surely that would only cause more problems than its worth" "While nami is a thief she is only stealing in order to try and free her hometown from its pirate rulers, she was told that she could buy her village from them for $100,000,000 while in reality they are keeping track of her savings and will steal them before she is able to reach her goal, also she will be a key member of our crew once we enter the grand line as it has unpredictable weather and nami has a supernatural sense and can actually predict the weather" Momo seems to be pleased by my explanation and after I remind her to not let Nami know that we know about her circumstances we gear up and approach the port while I receive a new quest.

[Quest begins: save the town from Buggys tyranny]

While docking the ship we were greeted by a devastating sight of a town that had been peppered with cannon fire, walking through town we ran into the predicted encounter with nami being chased by a small group of pirates. As soon as she spotted us she called out loudly "Hey captain so glad to see you, please deal with these guys for me, thanks" as she rushed past leaving us to deal with the brutes, at this point me and momo were easily able to knock these fodder down before turning and seeing nami stare in awe before quickly putting on an innocent look and saying "oh wow thanks for that, I totally wasn't going to leave you to die that was just a joke, a joke" before awkwardly giggling and continuing her act.

"Well if I'm your captain then you better come and help us with Buggy, even if all you can do is sneak in and steal their gold" At his nami flinched a little before continuing her act and saying "Of course, of course. while you fight Buggy, I will grab all their loot for you" as I turned around to continue walking I reminded her "And don't even think of running off by yourself cat burglar Nami" I could tell that Nami flinched at being exposed but I could hear her following so it was all fine.

Upon reaching the town centre, we were met with a lovely little dog named Chouchou that was still guarding his owner's collapsed shop, we threw some meat at him before continuing on to where Buggy had set up his big top tent. Seeing us walking down the street I could see a few of the pirates scrambling to action before Buggy himself lined a cannon up at us and fired, Momo took a step behind me as nami cowered behind her while I held my hands up and deflected the cannonball straight back at Buggy and his crew. Buggys eyes literally popped out of his head as he ran away from the impact point, his crew far slower to react and only a few on the edges were able to escape the blast.

We kept leisurely approaching the tent while I signalled to nami to slip off and grab the treasure, she seemed to be a bit stunned at my display but was able to regain her senses and slip off to the side, Momo pulled out a pair of shock batons and we broke into a sprint, it wasn't long before Buggy's commanders Cabaji and Ritchie with his tamer Mohji jumped out of the tent and headed our way, Cabaji the performing swordsman was riding his unicycle while juggling swords and headed for Momo, Richie was the Lion under the control of Mohji, while that control was loose they were still a deadly combo in fights.

As Richie pounced at me I was able to quickly take him out of the fight with a nen enhanced palm slap, he was sent flying into the nearby buildings, hopefully not able to return during this fight, At this his tamer cried out his name before angrily rushing me with his whip, with the outfit Momo made me I was able to endure the hits but the fast movement of the whip left me little room to counter-attack. Eventually I saw a small lapse in his movements and used that opportunity to activate my nen and rush towards him, clearly not expecting my speed I was able to knock him out with a paw palm strike to the jaw.

Momo was still engaged in her fight, clearly taking more time in order to avoid being cut by the flying sword dance, with a nod from her, I headed up to the big top to face Buggy. Opening the tent flaps I was immediately greeted by a knife flying towards my head, I was easily able to avoid it due to expecting it along with my enhanced reflexes, Buggy had clearly been trying to gather valuables before running for it but was now facing me with a cocky grin "you random woman don't you know who you are messing with? I'm the great Buggy the clown, a pirated feared in all the four seas" I cut off his speech when I reached behind me and grabbed his disembodied hand that was holding a group of knives and trying to stab me in the back, I held his hand between my paws and squeezed it, causing immense pain if Buggy's facial expressions were anything to go off of. "so you do know who I am and what my devil fruit is, well that won't help you when I do this" as he activated his devil fruit to it's fullest and filled the tent with his flying body parts, a slightly disembodied voice kept taunting me.

"How's this for flashy? Now where will I attack from? where will you try to attack me? I the great Buggy will never be defeated" Getting a bit pissed off at his cockyness I decided to taunt him before ending it "You stupid big nose do you think I don't know your weakness?" as I ran towards where he was standing and grabbed his feet, he started blubbering as I used my nen and devil fruit to it's maximum to throw his feet straight out of the big top and away from here, sending his body parts flying behind and his screaming into the distance, from outside I could hear his crew call out "Captain Buggy!" as most of them ran off to save him.

Checking the tent it was obvious nami has already hit here as there wasn't much of note, I walked out of the tent to a few of the crew holding me at Sword Point but at this point Momo had finished up and easily knocked them out from behind. Standing over all these pirates Momo asked me what we should do with them. "well they should run from here if we leave them and especially Buggy has a larger part to play, so let's find nami no doubt trying to steal our boat and give some of the treasure to the townsfolk" Momo seemed in agreeance with this as we headed back to the port.
