Am I going to die... again?

"Master, master, master, please wake up," said a persistent male voice. The woman's eyelids flickered as the voice penetrated her mind, and she recovered slowly from her faint. She was again lying prone on the ground, so when she opened her eyes, she was staring straight up into the sea pressing down on the bubble above her head. She was still surrounded by Sea Kings, and she was still at the bottom of the sea. Why was she not dead already?

"System, what's going on? Why am I not on an island somewhere? I thought I was to be rewarded, not sacrificed to Sea Kings, or drowned." She asked plaintively.

"That's simple, Master. One Piece is a very dangerous world for the weak. There are Pirates, Marines, Celestial Dragons, and, of course, the World Government. All of which are highly dangerous, some are steeped in corruption, some will kill you on sight, or worse, rape, torture, and enslave you. It was decided that to keep you safe, you needed a base that nobody could reach. Someplace safe, like here in the calm belt, at the bottom of the sea."

She raised her hand and pointed at the Sea Kings and water surrounding her, "How is it safe for me to be surrounded by Sea Kings that could eat me or water that could drown me?"

"You are protected here. The bubble that surrounds you is unbreakable, and it hides your presence from the Sea Kings. So relax, and let's check out your tutorial so that you can decide what you want to do with your future." Suddenly, a blue panel appeared in front of her eyes just like you'd expect to see in any standard JRPG. It listed a bunch of tabs: Status, Inventory, Store, Quests, and Map. "As you can see, this is a pretty standard setup, but there is still a lot you'll need to know before you decide how you want to live in this world. Please think or say 'Status'." She did as he requested, and the screen changed. A picture of a woman appeared wearing the same dress as she was currently wearing. She recognized the woman but not because it was her from her previous life but because it looked like the character Miyuki Shiba from the anime/light novel series 'An Irregular in Magic High School.' Or an older version of her...at least somewhere between 18-20 years old.

"Um, system, that doesn't look like me." She said.

"But it is you...or the you as you are now. A lot of your subconscious wants and desires were incorporated into the system when it was designed. One of which is your current appearance. Of course we had to make her older as with the pure gold you won't be aging anymore, and if you decided to have a sexual relationship, we didn't want you to be under age. That would just be icky." She nodded in understanding.

"Okay then, you may call me Miyuki from now on... new life, new name. And I think I will call you JARVIS like the AI of Tony Stark's. I like that better than 'System'." She glanced down and was grateful for the additional aging as the younger Miyuki had smaller breasts.

"Alright, Miyuki, now look below your picture, and you will see your current statistics." She glanced below and read.

"Most of this is pretty self-explanatory, but I will explain the titles and why your vitality and health points are so high. Vitality is what determines your health points...it's VIT x 10 = HP. You have higher than normal VIT due to your pure gold pendant being soul bonded. As you level up, the boost will stay consistent. As for your current titles..."

Generous Person: A person who saved lives by their generosity. The hidden statistics of Charisma and Luck are unlocked and have a starting figure of 10 points. Reminder, points can only be added to CHARM and LK via Quests.

Transmigrator: A person who is transmigrated from another world. Awarded the skill Languages (MAX)...allows the new Transmigrator to be able to speak, read, and write all languages. It wouldn't be fair to send someone to another world and not allow them to communicate.

"Do you have any questions about your 'Status'?" JARVIS asked.

"Does the language skill mean I can read the Ponyglphs?" She asked, worried.

"Yes, so be careful who you let know that little secret."

"I agree. Also, why don't I have any other skills? I know how to do a lot of things from my previous world...did none of that transfer over?" She still had all her memories, so shouldn't she have the skills related to those memories?

"You've never done any of those skills in this world yet. Until you do, the skill won't register." That made sense.

"Okay, thank you, no other questions on my 'Status' for now. What about the other tabs?" She asked.

"Currently, there's nothing in your inventory, so there is no reason to look. But for future reference, your inventory is unlimited, and it is also where you store your Berries and other currency types. As for the store, it's closed until we know what we need to stock. Once you decide on your goals, we will stock the store with things to help you. Next, there is the Quest tab, which notes all Quests you accept. I won't penalize you for failing a quest, as my overall goal is to make you happy. But please note that Quests have many types of rewards that can help your growth when successful. Currently, you only have 1 quest active."

"And last there is the 'Map' tab. This tab is special as it has many functions and it will grow in importance as you visit more places in the world or under the seas. Right now, it's simply a world map that can tell you where you are located in the world and what the current date is. Please think or say 'Map' to open the tab." He asked. She did so, and a large map appeared in front of her eyes with a green flashing dot located in the calm belt closest to LogueTown in the East Blue. It also told her that she was 50 years before Luffy left home to become King of the Pirates.

"50 years....why was she brought to this time period?" She questioned JARVIS.

"You aren't going to age, so I thought it would be good to give you as much time to prepare as possible. Plus, there are things that happened in the past that I know made you sad, and you might want to interfere to prevent them. If you decide not to, that's your choice, but now it's an option." She looked thoughtful for a bit before nodding a little.

"What else can the map do?" She asked, remembering he said there were many functions.

"It can grow. Every time you visit a place, it will be added to the list of mapped areas, and you will be able to zoom in for additional details of that area. Also, if you meet people in that area who become friends or enemies, their locations will be listed on the map and color coded...red for enemy, blue for friend, and yellow for acquaintances. And of course, green for yourself. Another function is that you can search for someone you've met before, even if they have left the area you met them. Very useful, no?" JARVIS quipped.

"Definitely. That answers my questions. Does that mean I'm done with the tutorial? Or is there more?" She asked. At this point, she had almost forgotten she was in a small bubble at the bottom of the sea surrounded by Sea Kings. That's how much JARVIS' info dump had excited her... as well as partially frying her brain.

"No, not yet. Now is the most important part. Miyuki, what do you want to do with your new life?"
