Saved by the Trio

The first sensation that greeted Kai as consciousness seeped back into his mind was the smell of earth and wood, mixed with the salty tang of the sea air that wafted through the open windows. He blinked open his eyes slowly, the light filtering through the leaves casting dappled shadows across his vision. He was lying on a makeshift bed constructed of old sails and moss, set in a spacious treehouse that swayed gently with the breeze.

Around him, the treehouse was a clutter of boyish treasures: maps strewn across a wooden table, carved toys and weapons, and a stack of worn books and navigational tools. Through the window, Kai could see the expansive canopy of Mt. Colubo, the green leaves vibrant against the bright blue sky. The treehouse was perched high in an ancient tree, its branches cradling the structure like a protective hand.

Luffy, Ace, and Sabo were there too, scattered around the room, keeping watch. Luffy sat cross-legged on the floor, munching on a piece of fruit, while Ace was busy sorting through some medical supplies. Sabo sat beside Kai, a book forgotten in his lap as he monitored Kai's condition.

Kai shifted slightly, wincing as a sharp pain reminded him of his recent ordeal. The movement caught Sabo's attention.

"You're awake," Sabo said, his voice a mixture of relief and caution. "How do you feel?"

Kai tried to sit up, but Ace pushed him gently back down. "Easy," Ace advised. "You lost a lot of blood. You need to rest."

"Where am I?" Kai asked, his voice hoarse.

"In our secret base," Luffy piped up, his eyes bright with a hint of pride. "We brought you here after we found you in the forest. You were pretty out of it."

Kai's mind raced, the memories of the battle with the tiger flooding back, along with the ethereal visions of his near-death experience. He looked at each of the boys, a sudden, overwhelming sense of dread filling him as he remembered their fates in the manga he had read.

"Why did you help me?" Kai's voice cracked slightly, laden with a mix of gratitude and the heavy burden of knowledge about what might come to pass for these brothers.

"You needed help," Ace said simply, shrugging as if the answer was obvious. "And besides, we're not going to just leave someone out there alone and hurt."

Sabo nodded, his expression serious. "We stick together here. It's tough enough surviving on this island with all the dangers around. We couldn't just leave you."

Kai felt a lump form in his throat as he looked at them, their faces etched with concern and innocence. He knew the hardships and tragedies that awaited them in the future, the journeys that would test them beyond what they could imagine.

"How did you find me?" he managed to ask, trying to steer his mind away from those dark thoughts.

Luffy grinned, swallowing his mouthful of fruit. "We were exploring and saw some birds flying weirdly around a spot in the forest. When we checked it out, we found you lying there. You were talking in your sleep about tigers and marks."

Kai touched his arm subconsciously, feeling the faint lines of the mark he had received from the tiger. He decided not to tell them about the system just yet. It was too complicated and too dangerous to explain in his weakened state.

Instead, he simply said, "Thank you. I owe you my life."

"Nah," Luffy dismissed the gratitude with a wave of his hand. "Just promise us you'll get stronger and help us out too. We're going to be the greatest adventurers on the seas!"

Kai smiled weakly, warmed by their simple acceptance and their dreams. "I promise."

As the conversation lulled, Kai lay back, his eyes tracing the wooden beams of the treehouse ceiling. Despite the pain and the confusion about his future, he felt an odd sense of peace. Here, in this hidden sanctuary among the trees, with these brothers who knew nothing of the world beyond their shores, Kai felt a glimmer of hope. Maybe, just maybe, he could change their fates. Maybe he could alter the path that had been set for them.

Author's Notes :

I'm sorry for the delay, the set up of the system and the power structure took longer than expected to adjust, do tell me if you would like some tweaking to it, changes or patches. I know that you may fear an overpowered trope, I would lie by saying he will not be but i'll try to make it the most engaging and interesting !

ALSO, I was thinking about the romance plot, and definitely ruled out the Harem, sick of it being everywhere, but i'd like to ask you if you want any at all ?
