Marianne couldn't swallow the devil fruit no matter how hard she tried but Ethan gave her some water to help her swallow.
In the end Marianne swallowed the fruit with difficulty and said with tears in her eyes, "I've never tasted anything this bad in my life."
Seeing the girls' reaction, Emily smiled at Sora, "Sora, let's forget about eating Devil Fruits for good. We can get stronger without it."
Sora agreed with her sister, "If the strength comes from eating something disgusting, Sora does not want it."
