147- Whiskey Peak.

"So, that's Whiskey Peak," Sanju said as she lit a new cigarette.

"Its landscape isn't like any island I've ever seen." Nami said.

"Our first journey on the Grand Line comes to an end," Ethan said as he walked next to the crew and stared at the island. The island itself had an odd shape, there are several mountains that gave off an appearance of giant cacti.

Ethan looked over to the side of the ship to see both Mr 9 and Miss Wednesday standing on the railing.

"Thank you, but we must be leaving now,"

"It's been an interesting ride to say the least"

They said before leaping off the railing and diving into the water far from the ship and starting to swim to the shore.

"They are both weird." Ann said, but the crew didn't focus too much on this and looked at the island again.

[mission: Defeat or kill bounty hunters!

objective: Have Nojiko fight the bounty hunters alone.

Reward:100 points for each bounty hunter she defeats.]

Ethan raised his eyebrow as he looked at this mission and then looked toward Nojiko, 'I think Nojiko can do it, she's stronger than she looks.'

"Hey look." Hailey said while pointing forward.

"There is a waterway seems to go right up to the shoreline." she said as they began sailing inland.

Fog was all around them thick enough to keep them from seeing more than a few meters ahead of the ship on every side so they were taking it slowly on their approach.

"Umm, I am weighing the possibilities of monsters out there." Nami said in a scared voice.

"Yes, there is a high probability of this, this is the Grand Line after all." Clara said.

"Hey, there is someone over there!" Desire said as she pointed off to the left side of the ship. Everyone looked over and saw the silhouettes of two people moving.

"We should be on guard." Nojiko said as she pulled out her pistols.

As the ship sailed a little bit further in, even more silhouettes appeared. This time they were on both sides of the waterway and the sound of people cheering filled the air.

As they exited the fog everyone saw on both sides of the waterway there were people lined up cheering and waving as the ship sailed by.

'What kind of place welcomes pirates?' they all thought as they looked at the citizens of Whiskey Peak with a bewildered look on their faces.

"Welcome to the Grand Line!" one person yelled from the shore as the crew sailed by.

"Greetings and good tidings great travelers!" Another yelled.

"We are happy to have you here at Whiskey Peak!" Someone else yelled out.

The entire crew was shocked and couldn't believe that there really was a city that welcomed pirates with open arms.

At this moment, Ann used magic to speak into the minds of the crew, 'They're trying to trick us, it's impossible for people to welcome pirates.'

All the girls agreed with Ann and they are also suspicious of these people, only Lucy was shocked by this.

'For now let's feign ignorance and see what they are up to.' Ethan is really happy that all the girls were suspicious of the people of this island and weren't fooled, contrary to the original story.

The Black Pearl Freya reached port after a few more minutes of sailing, as the crew started to disembark they were met by a welcoming party lead by a tall man that Ethan immediately recognised as Igaram or as others here knew him Igarappoi or Mr 8.

"Well..."*cough* "Ma~ma-ma-" the man started before trying again, "Welcome, my name is Igarappoi, it is my honour, as mayor, to welcome you to Whiskey Peak." he greeted the group.

After the welcome, Freya made the ship palm-sized and put it in a suitcase. Everyone on the island looked at this with great shock so Freya said that this was the ability of a Devil Fruit.

Laboon wasn't on the ship, it's already got off the ship in order to go get its food, after all its size is so big it's impossible for the crew to feed it.

Soon the crew was taken to a building and the party was going on. Lucy walked over to Ethan and gave him Sora and then went to enjoy the party and ate all the food they gave her.

Fortunately there are no toxins or unknown drugs in the foods, so Ethan wasn't worried that Lucy was eating the foods they offered.

If these idiots put poison in their food, Ethan will kill them straight away and won't wait for Nojiko to finish the mission.

After a while, Ethan pretended to drink a lot of alcohol and fell asleep with Sora in his arms, Sora looked at her father and then put her head on his chest and fell asleep.

It was a number of hours later that the moon was rising high in the sky as the party finally came to an end.

Ethan kept his eyes closed and then using magic, he spoke into the girls' minds, "Is everyone awake?"

Everyone responded to Ethan.

'I don't understand, I can do it all with my illusion why we bother pretending to be asleep.' Kaya said also it's much easier to do that.

'Because it's not fun. Also, we wouldn't have enjoyed this party and I wouldn't have eaten all that food if we did.' said Lucy, whose body became spherical because of all the food she had eaten.

'Anyway everyone can sleep, it's Nojiko who will defeat the enemies on this island and no one is allowed to help her.'

'NANI?! WHY ME.' Nojiko couldn't believe that Ethan wanted her to fight alone with nearly 100 bounty hunters.

'You can think of this as something similar to training. And I want to see your current strength since you were a civilian and only recently became a pirate.'

Freya, who was pretending to be asleep, stood up and looked at Ethan and rolled her eyes. [You are a liar]

"But I want to fight too." Lucy stood rather funny in shape with a spherical torso and slender limbs.

"They are all weak. If you fight them, they will be crushed within seconds." Ethan slowly lifted his daughter from his chest so as not to wake her, and he isolated all the sounds around her using magic so that she could sleep calmly and comfortably.

"If I can't fight, I want to see Nojiko fight." Lucy sighed.

"We also have no desire to sleep, we want to see Nojiko fight." All the crew members stood up and crept out of the building, and Kaya created an illusion in the room appearing to be asleep.

If someone enters the room, they will see that everyone is there except for Nojiko, because Ethan asked Kaya to do so to make the bounty hunters focus on fighting only Nojiko.
