Ark One, Part Twenty-Two

(With Uta)

The fight with Messorem and Vult had lasted nearly twenty-five minutes now. Uta was slowly but surely beginning to feel the drain of her energy, which affected her speed and the strength of her attacks.

The armor that both her enemies wore and the demon-spamming force fields weren't making matters any better. Everyone movement she made, even small ones, felt like she was being weighed down and was sluggish as a person who consumed an absolute metric fuck ton of alcohol.

The beautiful singer's eyelids grew heavier each minute, and her body screamed to relax, but she couldn't. She wouldn't. She had to protect everyone until the cavalry arrived.

Thus, she ignored the pain and tiredness. Fuck, she wished she had Typhon's stamina. If she had that, fighting these two wouldn't be much of an issue.

Blocking another attack from Vult, Uta blasts him toward another building, destroying a massive chunk of the structure.

The entire building toppled over another one not so long afterward, causing massive property damage. Uta winced at the destruction she caused. She wasn't looking forward to fixing that.

Sensing someone above her, she projected her force field that repelled an attack from Messorem. She then summoned a dozen rocket launchers and fired them at the demon.

He raised his hand before any projectiles could get near him, and all the rockets stopped. Then he turned half of them in Uta's direction and released them.

Messorem aimed and released the rest of them on the buildings and fleeing citizens of Geofu. Unfortunately for him, Uta dispelled them before any damage could be done.

Messorem growled at the singer for that, as he wanted to see mass destruction. He appeared before her, and the demon swung his gigantic war hammer at the singer's force field.

However, Uta blocked his attack with her shield and pointed the tip of her spear towards the demon's chest. A large beam of energy came out of it, hitting Messorem and sending him back several meters away.

Uta shot another beam of energy at the demon, but before it could reach him, Messorem used the head of his war hammer to deflect the attack.

Several musical notes appeared from the ground. Two of them managed to get hold of the demon's left leg before the demon could react.

Messorem quickly destroyed the musical notes that hadn't reached him, and then he ripped the ones attached to his left leg.

Glaring at the singer, he charged toward her while dodging, weaving, and destroying many of the singer's annoying summons.

Seeing the demon closing the distance, Uta generated several powerful shockwaves that pushed the demon back, albeit not by much.

Messorem's feet and the bottom half of his war hammer dug into the ground so he wouldn't be sent flying toward another building.

Once they dissipated, the demon slammed the face of his hammer to the ground, and several large spikes of demonic energy constructs protruded from the ground.

Uta quickly moved to the left to avoid being impaled by the construction. However, she was sent flying back when something hit her in the side and crashed through multiple buildings.

She landed harshly on the ground but was okay overall, thanks to the armor protecting her. Before she could get up, Vult appeared above her with his sword in reverse grip and directly aimed at her.

Pointing her finger at him, and a musical note shot out, quickly wrapping itself around the mercenary. She flicked her wrist to the right, slamming her opposition into a building.

The singer then flicked it to the left, slamming him into another structure. This process continued four more times until it was eventually interrupted by Messorem, who appeared behind the singer.

Reacting swiftly, Uta jumped away, turned around, and slammed Vult onto Messorem with enough force to create a forty-meter crater.

"Fuck," Uta cursed. She was panting, and her legs were shaky. "Not now..."

The amount of energy she had was drying out, and it was only a matter of time until she passed out from exhaustion.

'Where the fuck were the reinforcements?!' The singer looked forward when she heard the chuckles of the demon.

"Getting tired already?" Messorem asked, looking at the singer with a mocking smile.

Uta glared at the demon and flipped him off, making the latter chuckle. With her breathing controlled and the shaking stopped, she stood straight and looked at Messorem with a hardened gaze.

Vult groaned, slowly getting up with the help of his sword. He looked at the singer, glaring at her hatefully, and growled.

"I'm getting real fucking tired of those damn abilities of yours and keeping your distance like a coward."

Uta snorted at his last comment. "Me a coward? Quite ironic from you, the biggest coward of them, who forces himself on women who reject him and leads other cowards who share the same ideals," she retorted, infuriating the mercenary. "Besides, why would I face you in close-quarters combat? Who knows what you're contaminated with," she gets into a combative stance, pointing her spear at the duo. "Now, do the world a favor and fuck off!" She shot several energy blasts at the duo.

Messorem and Vult quickly moved out of the way, but unfortunately for the latter, he couldn't dodge the projectiles soaring toward him. Thus, he held the flat side of the blade in front of him and prevented himself from being injured.

Vult retaliated by shooting several spikes of earth at her. Messorem charged up an energy beam and released it, sending a large yet highly condensed stream of demonic energy toward the singer. 

Sensing the danger from the demon's attack, Uta conjured a mirror and deflected it back at the Messorem, whose eyes widened when he saw his attack coming straight toward him.

The demon quickly dodged the attack and charged up another energy beam. Vult poured his Haki into his sword and swung it at multiple angles with each slash, releasing long lines of energy.

Then, with all his power, skill, and concentration, he caused all the nearby buildings to crumble to pieces before taking new shapes.

Several forty-meter hands made of various materials appeared before them. Vult then commanded the hands of Earth to descend upon Uta and turn her into mush.

Seeing the colossal-sized hands coming down on her, she quickly evaded all the attacks before releasing a gigantic energy blast.

Unfortunately, the blast barely did anything to them, so she quickly surrounded herself in a force field before the colossal hands could contact her.

Each hand slammed in the location Uta was at for twenty seconds straight, and each fist caused the ground to shake. After the attack, Messorem and Vult approached the singer's location.

Both were prepared to attack in case their enemy was still kicking, but fortunately for them, Uta was laid flat on the ground, covered in blood, bruises, gashes, scratches, and dirt.

The armor she once wore was gone, leaving her in her torn and battered dress, which exposed a good amount of skin, although her most private areas were covered.

Vult grinned maliciously at the sight and looked at the singer lustfully. Messorem felt his ally's eyes and couldn't help but roll his eyes.

Uta groaned and attempted to move, but even the slightest of movements caused an unbreakable amount of pain to spike throughout her body.

She opened her eyes and saw that Vult and Messorem were standing above her, looking at her body lustfully.

If she could right now, she would've vomited and then afterward rip off their cock and balls, but that required energy, which was something she was out of.

"Well, look at what we have here," Vult chuckled. "You don't look so good there but don't worry. We'll be sure to fix that."

"G-Go fuck yourself, you worthless, cowardly piece of shit," Uta shot back, glaring at the mercenary.

Vult frowned at the girl's disrespect and tightly clenched his teeth.

"Even when you're down, you still dare to talk back," Vult kicked Uta across the face, causing blood and teeth to spill out. "I'll be sure to fix that."

Vult stabbed his sword into the ground and was about to unbuckle his pants. However, before he could do that, he felt an immense amount of pain as someone's foot connected to his face, which sent him flying several meters away.

Messorem was quick enough to react and blocked an attack from a sword. The demon glared at the individuals who attacked them.

"Not if we have something to say about it," Kushina retorted, looking at the demon with a murderous expression.

Quickly creating a clone, Kushina had it pick up Uta and vanish from thin air. Now, without worrying about their friend, both women focused their sights on Messorem and Vult.

Without saying a word, Kushina and Mikasa circled them with their weapons out, ready to strike when Messorem or Vult moved in the slightest.

Both women looked at each other, nodded, and returned their sights to the two in front of them.

Then, the two began to attack, with Kushina going for Messorem and Mikasa going for Vult. Mikasa charged toward Vult with both of her swords at her sides.

Vult smirked and got into a combative stance, having his great sword ready.

When Mikasa neared, the mercenary swung his sword horizontally at the Ackerman, but she swiftly ducked underneath the attack and thrust both blades at Vult's abdomen.

The mercenary swiftly jumped back to evade the attack and retaliated with a left downward diagonal strike toward Mikasa's skull.

The Ackerman reacts quickly and easily, blocks the attack without moving an inch, using her available sword to impale the mercenary.

Unfortunately, he prevented the tip of his sword from making contact with his body by coating his arm with Haki. Not to be deterred, Mikasa withdrew her right sword and then sent a devastating kick to the side of Vult's kneecap.

Then, following that, she sent a kick to his face, but Vult was wise enough to jump back.

His instincts told him that even attempting to block her attack or grab her foot would break something, leaving him at a disadvantage.

Vult then sent several spheres of Earth at the Ackerman, who absolutely obliterated them with kicks, punches, or a slash of her sword.

Mikasa made her way toward the mercenary, easily destroying all of his ranged attacks, and the ones that made contact with her shattered to dust.

Seeing his attacks weren't affecting the Ackerman, Vult scowled and changed tactics. If his normal attacks were ineffective, he would step it up.

However, it would take some time, so he would keep the Ackerman distracted by relentlessly throwing barrage after barrage of earthly attacks.

While she distracted Vult, he pulled all the metal he could detect within the area. He then purified the material of most of its impurities before strengthening it, then bending and shaping it into his desire.

Vult was soon encased in a thirty-meter Haki-coated metal behemoth that looked exactly like him. Seeing the giant metal contraption Vult created, Mikasa could only scowl in annoyance.

'Never thought I'd say this, but I miss fighting Titans. At least with them, they were mostly slow and predictable,' the Ackerman thought.

With his creation completed, the mercenary looked down at the Eldian and smirked. He raised his foot, and with a heavy stomp, the ground shook violently as many constructs burst from below.

The constructs then rapidly descended upon the Ackerman beauty. Reacting quickly, she evaded them while making her way toward the mercenary.

However, that was easier said than done as a metal spiked shot from every possible angle and was nearly impaled several times.

To make matters worse for her, Vult created a gigantic mini-gun, and a hail of bullets came in her direction.

However, despite the circumstances, Mikasa could still evade the gunfire by taking cover behind Vult's constructs. It wasn't an easy tactic to pull off when she was avoiding getting filled with bullet holes.

She also had to worry about getting run through by gigantic spikes, but she managed.

"Hey Kushina, I'm going to need a little help here!!" Mikasa yelled out.

Seeing the trouble the Ackerman was in, the redhead summoned several chains near the metal giant.

"Huh?" Vult eyes widened in surprise when several chains appeared before him.

Before he could react, the chains tightly wrapped around each of his legs, arms, and neck. Then, with a powerful tug, the metal giant crashed to the ground.

Bullets sprayed everywhere because of this action, and one of the bullets hit Messorem in the head, stunning him momentarily.

Kushina took advantage of this opportunity, closed the distance between them, and stabbed the demon directly in the eye with a crystalline, causing him to roar in agony.

Not letting up, the redhead stabbed him in his other eye and twisted the kunai to inflict maximum damage. Grabbing Kushina by the hair, Messorem threw the redhead off of him, causing her to yelp in pain.

The demon pulled the kunai from his eye socket and threw it to the side. He then looked in Kushina's direction and let out a feral growl.

"You're going to regret that, human," he snarled.

Before the redhead could retort, she had to jump back as the demon's war hammer obliterated the spot where she once stood. While they were battling, Mikasa made her way toward a downed Vult.

Once she found the mercenary's location, the Ackerman began tearing through the metal giant. A moment later, she pulled out Vult harshly by the hair, making the man grunt in pain.

"Let go, you bitch!!" Vult attempted to free himself from Mikasa's grasp, but the Ackerman tightened her grip on his hair and yanked his head back aggressively.

She placed the edge of her sword at Vult's throat and gave the mercenary an icy glare.

"I'd say you're lucky I can't kill you, but that would be a lie," Mikasa seethed as she restrained herself from slicing the mercenary's throat. "Whatever Typhon is going to do to you will be far worse than death."

Upon hearing that, Vult visibly paled, which immensely satisfied the Ackerman. Before Vult could retort, Mikasa knocked the mercenary out with a well-placed strike to the temple.

In Kushina and Messorem's battle, the redhead wasn't having an easy time. Because of her earlier stunt, the demon became more aggressive and unpredictable in his attack patterns, making it difficult to fight him.

However, she could at least level the playing field with her chains and clones. Another plus was that her smaller size made it much more difficult for the demon to hit her, which she instantly took advantage of.

The only problem was that her attacks didn't damage Messorem enough. Despite having a weapon harmful to a demon of his caliber, he could tank and heal from whatever she could dish out.

'You know, if you just used my power, this battle would've been over already,' said a deep, booming voice.

'No! I'll never use your damn power, you oversized furball!!' she refused, although a part of her was tempted to take its offer but knew better than to do that.

The voice snarled at her insult. 'YOU INSOLENT LITTLE SHIT!! HOW DARE YOU CALL ME THAT!!! I SWEAR WHEN I GET OUT OF HERE, I'M GOING TO KILL YOU AND THAT BIRD FUCKER YOU FAVOR SO MUCH IN THE MOST EXCRUCIATING WAYS POSSIBLE!!!' Kushina cut the connection between her and the Kyubi, not wanting to hear its voice anymore.

Back to the fight, the redhead summoned more golden chains from several directions. Several attempted to wrap themselves around the demon, but much to her annoyance, the damn demon managed to slip past them.

However, her dissatisfaction momentarily dissipated when one of them managed to get a good hit on him, sending the demon flying into the air.

While in midair, several chains wrapped around Messorem's legs, causing him to descend to the ground rapidly and violently.

Kushina then commanded the chains to bring Messorem to her. However, before they could reach Kushina, Messorem sat up, and with all his magical might, he shattered the golden chains to dust.

He then points his finger at the redhead, and a bolt of potent demonic energy shoots out, hitting his enemy directly in the chest and sending the girl crashing onto her back.

Quickly getting up, Messorem, the demon, made his way toward the fallen redhead with his sword raised, ready to end the human's life.

Messorem brought his sword downward, and the demon was mere inches away from ending the girl's neck. Unfortunately for him, Mikasa arrived just in time as her foot met his face, sending the demon crashing to the ground.

Getting up, Kushina looked at the raven-haired beauty and playfully asked, "What took you so long?"

"Had to put Vult somewhere secure," Mikasa replied, and the redhead nodded.

They couldn't risk the mercenary escaping as that meant they'd have to face a very angry Typhon, something neither wanted to deal with.

They both look back to see Messorem getting back up and then glaring hatefully at the females, which they return right back at him.

Mikasa and Kushina looked at each with cold expressions, nodded, and returned their gaze to Messorem.

"Let's finally end this fucker."

If anyone bitches about Uta losing, remember she's nowhere near as powerful as her movie version yet.
