204. Chris Kingdom

Pizarro's life story is quite interesting. Avalo Pizarro, hailing from North Blue, is believed to have consumed a mysterious Zoan-type Cat Devil Fruit with an undisclosed transformation. He's someone who enjoys being at the pinnacle. (T/N: I know, but please keep in mind that this fanfiction was written before the canon events, so some details may not match. There is another inconsistency later on, but that was the author's mistake. I would like to change the devil fruit power, but that would require rewriting the whole fight scene, which is too much work. So please bear with me and enjoy the story.)

Before setting sail, discontent with his hometown's king dominating him led Pizarro to resort to violence. He enslaved the entire kingdom, engaged in illegal plundering, forced labor, and exploited the nation's resources for his own pleasure. Possessing a cruel personality, he took pleasure in killing and earned the moniker "Corrupt King."

Marine later uncovered his actions, forcing him to flee. Due to the severity of his impact, the Marines issued a reward for his capture.

Secretly shaking his head, Atlas understood that even if the Marines expelled Pizarro, it was already too late, and the inevitable fate of the country's destruction couldn't be avoided.

Once at sea, Pizarro formed a crew and assumed the role of a captain. In each country he visited, he consistently wreaked havoc, destroying nations and cities. The World Government labeled him a notorious criminal, and the bounty on his head continued to escalate.

It appears he's attempting to repeat his past deeds and make the Chris Kingdom his personal domain. What a shame...

Pizarro miscalculated the situation in the New World. As a pirate, his only options now are either being pursued and intercepted by the Marines or daring to challenge the Sea Emperor and vie for supremacy.

Attempting to claim territory without sufficient power is akin to inviting death in the New World, and neither the Sanko nor the Marines would consent to such a venture.

"Smoker, ready the ship. We're setting sail for Broccoli Island shortly!"

After stowing the intelligence documents, Atlas grabbed the cloak of justice from the nearby hanger, donned it, and addressed Smoker, who had just taken a seat.

"Yes!"

.....

At the port, a moderately-sized Marine warship lay anchored silently. Rear Admiral Maynard, along with Marine generals and officers from the base, stood and observed as squads of Marine soldiers boarded the warships.

Atlas hasn't utilized the Ryu-sen yet. This immense island ship hovers silently over the G-5 base, equipped with a contingent of stationed soldiers. It also enhances Atlas' capabilities, the next move concealed from sight.

As long as nobody intentionally probes with observation haki, the risk of exposure is minimal. The enhanced snake talisman is intriguing; the invisible thing can stay unseen as long as Atlas doesn't actively engage the ability.

While the original transformation time remains brief, the firepower setup of the entire battleship ranks as the highest standard in the Marine. This cutting-edge design is the latest accomplishment from Dr. Vegapunk of the Science Force. Paired with the immense size of Ryu-sen, capable of withstanding extreme recoil, it can be asserted that, except for the legendary Ancient Weapon Pluton, there's no other warship worldwide that can rival its firepower!

"Maynard, the G-5 base's defense is in your hands for now. Issue orders to the higher-ups when needed."

Atlas stepped forward, giving Maynard a hearty pat on the shoulder.

Despite his tall and sturdy appearance, his meticulousness doesn't quite align with his looks.

"Don't worry, Vice Admiral. I won't let any pirates come near the base!"

Maynard reassured.

Having witnessed the formidable strength of the young Vice Admiral in the recent battles, he was fully convinced of Atlas.

Indeed, strength and military achievements hold utmost importance in the Marine.

"Alright, no more chatter. Let's go! Our target: Broccoli Island!"

With a symbolic gesture, Atlas turned around and boarded the warship. Issuing commands to the helmsman, the warship gradually set course toward the Kingdom of Chris.

The warship sails at a swift pace. Broccoli Island, home to the Chris Kingdom, isn't far from the G-5 base. At full speed, it would take approximately a day and a half for a smooth arrival. Under the control of Atlas's Rooster Talisman ability, this time could be directly shortened to about one day.

The day swiftly passed, time slipping away quietly. Broccoli Island soon came into view within the warship's visual range.

Broccoli Island is not particularly large, featuring only the Kingdom of Chris with a relatively long history. It pales in comparison to Dressrosa in the New World.

Numerous pirate ships linger in the slightly run-down port. However, the flags adorning these vessels are peculiar. The most prevalent bears a smiling face and skull with light blue hair, while other ships display various symbols.

"This guy..."

"Does he intend to transform this country into a pirate haven?"

Atlas narrowed his eyes, contemplating the situation.

A pirate country entails the entire nation allowing pirates to come and go freely, though they must pay a certain fee to the individuals governing the country.

Naturally, the condition is that the occupier of the country must possess a military force unmatched by other pirates; otherwise, it would be prone to changing hands. Pizarro evidently meets this qualification.

In the New World, numerous towns and even islands share similarities with lawless zones like Sabaody, existing in a state of neglect.

The warship's arrival went unnoticed, thanks to Atlas using his ability to preemptively conceal it. He trusted that no one would be curious enough to employ their haki and explore every nook and cranny.

"Smoker, Kyros, gather a few teams with me. The rest should stay on the warship. If anything arises, give us a call."

After issuing a brief command, Atlas walked towards the shore, his figure gradually coming into view as if emerging from thin air. The same applied to Smoker and the others.

It's not a den of tigers and wolves; it's just Pizarro. There's no need for Atlas and the others to hide like this. Atlas openly reveals his presence, perhaps quickly grabbing the pirates' attention.

Similar to most countries worldwide, the outer regions consist of civilian areas, while nobles and kings reside in elevated or central parts, symbolizing supreme royal power.

"Mr. Atlas, it seems there aren't many people here..."

Cyrus scanned the street meticulously. Having served as an army commander in Dressrosa, he keenly sensed that this place had likely been pillaged by pirates recently.

The door was shut, it was dinner time, yet no smoke was in sight. There lingered dampness and bloodstains on the ground, revealing the recent events that transpired here.

"Of course, no one's around, right? Is His Highness the Prince hiding over there?"
