Chapter 005: The Corrupted Navy Branch

There was silence for a while until the Lieutenant said to Akira: "You have to wait. The Captain of our base went out to patrol. When he comes back, he will give you the bounty."

"I hope I can get the bounty when I come in the evening." After taking a look at the Lieutenant, Akira said in a deep voice.

After that, he shook his head and left the branch base.

The Lieutenant took a deep breath looking at Akira, then turned and walked into his office in the base.

In the office, he took out the Den Den Mushi from the drawer and dialed the Den Den Mushi of the Captain in the branch base.

After waiting for a while, a sly voice came from the Den Den Mushi.

"Toros, don't you know that I am in the middle of the negotiations with the new Arlong pirates?"

Toros glanced outside the door and whispered: "Captain Nezumi, I have urgent news to report."

"Just a while ago, a bounty hunter came here holding Alvida's head to receive the bounty."

"I used your name to gain time and told him to come in the evening."

"Report to the Lieutenant Toros, Captain Nezumi is back," a soldier standing outside Toros's office said.

When Toros in the office heard this, he hurried to base's dock to greet Captain Nezumi.

Captain Nezumi, who got off the warship, looked at Toros and asked to follow him.

After entering the Captain's office, Captain Nezumi sat at his desk and said, "The bounty hunter hasn't come yet?"

Toros nodded and whispered: "Yes, and I carefully checked the list of all bounty hunters in the East Blue Sea. He was not on the list."

"The bounty hunter who got lucky?"

Captain Nezumi muttered and then smiled: "Since the money came to our door, we will not reject it."

After he finished speaking, he Instructed Toros: "Go and prepare five million Bellies."

Toros looked at Captain Nezumi puzzled: "Captain?"

Captain Nezumi showed an extremely stern look in his eyes. He glanced at Toros and made a cold snort, then said: "Hmph, If we are going to take him down, do you want everyone to believe that the Navy was greedy for the bounty?"

When Akira came to the naval base again, it was already evening.

Then he looked at Akira and said, "You are the one who sneaked off to the navy branch base and stole Alvida's head?"

Akira's expression turned cold hearing Nezumi's question.
