15. The Capitalists Cried When They Saw It!

"What are you guys up to?!"

When those words were spoken, Nami had a spark in her eyes. She swiftly took hold of Genzo's arm and led him towards the rear room.

Al waved his hand, giving a look that said "good luck."

Tom, upon seeing a new face, became quite enthusiastic. He eagerly passed over the baseball bat he was holding.

Before Genzo could comprehend what was happening, Tom dashed off with a swish.

"Hey, Nami, what's going on?"

Gradually, Genzo began to grasp the seriousness of the situation. Just as he was about to make a break for it, he realized Nami had locked the door!

"Where do you think you're going?"

Nami flashed a gentle smile, seized Genzo by the collar, and pulled him inside.

Right after, Arlong's screams and curses echoed: "You miserable lot~ ah!"

"Sooner or later~ ah! I'll make you all pay!"

"What...?"

...

Genzo , worn out from three days of sleeplessness, finally shed his last tear under Nami's pressure.

Throughout those three days, whenever someone dared to knock on the door, Nami wasted no time in dragging them in to work.

They were either knocking Arlong's teeth out or feeding Hatchan water, then both of them would induce vomiting to extract the information they needed.

Or they were grinding and carving teeth with a file under Nami's supervision.

Whenever Arlong and his crew were on the brink of exhaustion, Al would offer them some milk crafted by Jerry.

This not only rejuvenated them but also boosted their strength and productivity to the fullest!

Gradually, this gave rise to a complete assembly line!

It was a bit costly, but worth it.

"Move it! We're ten minutes behind the production target!" Nami slammed her fist against the production chart on the wall, baring her teeth as she shouted at the villagers, who were so frail they seemed on the verge of becoming mummies.

"Everyone, I can barely hold on any longer~"

As soon as those words were spoken, a villager who had been working suddenly collapsed to the ground, unconscious.

Tom then mechanically picked them up and tossed them out the door, his movements so practiced they seemed almost sorrowful.

This marked the thirtieth comrade to fall!

Tears of regret flowed freely—why did they ever agree to Nami's plan in the first place?

Back then, when Nami had declared they could beat Arlong as much as they wanted, everyone had seemed to lose their senses, agreeing without a second thought.

They could only blame themselves for being too naive.

If they could turn back time, they would surely tell that girl two words - I won't.

But with a clear deadline attached!

Sadly, the world didn't offer many second chances.

....

Time crawled on, and Nami's strength seemed to dwindle with each passing moment.

She takes great care in recruiting, managing, and letting go of the comrades!

Even when Al attempted to persuade Nami to take a break, she staunchly refused, often replying with, "It's my duty to hold my ground!"

As time went by, Al ceased trying to convince Nami and instead instructed Tom to "take care" of Arlong and his crew.

Then, he set out to find a buyer.

Four days later, upon his return, Al was greeted with a sight that left him stunned—the wooden barricade named "Great Wall" stood between Nami's house and Cocoyasi Village.

Al couldn't shake off the shock, muttering to himself, "Goodness, Nami hasn't imprisoned all the villagers in Cocoyasi Village, did she?!"

With this thought in mind, Al headed to Nami's house, only to find it empty.

Just as Al began to worry about Nami and the others, he was abruptly yanked into a nearby bush by a cane.

As Al prepared to retaliate, he realized the elderly figure before him was none other than the chief of the guards, Genzo.

The moment Genzo laid eyes on Al, he burst into tears, seizing Al's arm and shouting, "Everyone, come out, we're rescued!"

Before Al could grasp the situation, figures emerged from the bushes one by one, waving their arms joyfully and exclaiming, "We're saved!"

Al couldn't fathom why he had risen to his feet. Upon surveying the scene, he recognized these individuals as villagers from Cocoyasi Village. But why did they all appear so emaciated?

"Could it be..."

Just as Al pondered, a blue figure leaped down from the tree and ensnared him in a massive net.

Tom danced about in excitement, not bothering to check who he had captured.

It wasn't until Nami's quivering voice reached his ears that Tom stopped in his tracks, realizing his blunder.

Turning his head mechanically, Tom saw Al staring at him with a gentle smile, sending chills down his spine.

After releasing Al from the net, Tom tossed it aside and then offered a clumsy, apologetic smile, attempting to charm his way out of trouble.

Al couldn't be bothered to argue with Tom. He focused his gaze on Nami and demanded, "Nami, please explain."

Like a guilty child, Nami tucked her hands behind her back, fidgeted with her toes, and recounted what had occurred during Al's absence.

The corner of Al's mouth twitched.

No wonder the villagers of Cocoyasi Village had hidden themselves away. No one dared to cross Nami's wrath after she had scolded the entire village.

So, Tom was set to play a game of "cat and mouse" with the villagers. The consequence for being caught? Being confined to a small, dark room and forced to work 24/7.

This operation would draw tears from the most capitalist and compel even the toughest jew to kneel in submission! (T/N: No offence if any jews are reading it, the author has written this text and I as a translator always try to include everything the author writes.)

Just as Al was about to discuss Nami's actions, Genzo suddenly pulled him aside and clarified, "Please don't blame Nami. Everyone's participating willingly."

"However, if there's a chance, please take away Nami. We can't endure this any longer..."

Glancing at Genzo's emaciated form, the corners of Al's mouth twitched involuntarily.

"If only your physical condition could be normal, then I might believe it!"

However, Genzo seemed to have reached a point of indifference. Sporting the smile of an elderly father, he murmured softly, "It's been too long since we've seen Nami's genuine smile."

"So, no matter what, as long as it brings joy to Nami, it doesn't matter what happens to us!"

Observing Genzo's unwavering resolve, Al couldn't help but think, "You guys are truly devoted!"
