The Escape (1)

[3rd person pov]

On the garden of a small castle we could see three children around the age of 5, 9 and 11 years playing snow fighting. The youngest giggled and tossed a snowball at the oldest. He was greeted by an enormous dump of snow. They were having a great day.

'Bang'

Suddenly, gunshots were heard from across the castle.

Of all the three children present the youngest one was frightened and stated crying. The older ones seemed nervous.

After thinking for a while Oliver looked at Alucard and said, " Alucard take Leo with you and hide in our training place."

Alucard asked, " What about you master Oliver?"

Oliver said, "I will just take a look what happened inside".

With a hesitant face Alucard nodded and moved towards Leo to prepare for escape. Without looking back, Oliver rushed into the castle.

[Oliver's Pov]

Having ensured Leo's safety, I quickly entered the castle to ask of the exact situation. I hope everything's fine.

When i entered the hall, I was welcomed with panicky expressions from our servants and working staff. Also, i didn't encounter any guards on my way. I stopped near a servant to ask about the exact situation, but i didn't get any reply from him.

Due to no reply, I was getting impatient. I heard some rushing footsteps, i turned around my head and saw Gabriel rush into the hall. He was covered with blood, some maids even blacked out when they saw him. He looked around the hall for a moment, when he saw me, he hurried towards me.

Before i could ask anything he grabbed me on the shoulders and asked with an anxious tone, "Master Oliver, where is Master Leo... and Alucard"

I knew he was worried, so I told him the truth that they were outside the castle. I marked a relieved expression on his face,which quickly changed to normal. Without saying anything he grabbed my hand which was rather rude and rushed towards the garden.

When we were about to leave, we immediately got surrounded by the working staffs. They had frightened expression on their face.

[3rd person pov]

With a hesitant and determined expression, one of them walked up and said, "Sir Gabriel, please let Master Oliver with us, we'll keep him safe."

Gabriel narrowed his eyes, he looked into the eyes of the servant and said calmly, "Don't mistake me for a fool, Josh, I know what you're all thinking, now back off "

Josh had a freaky expression, he continued "But Sir Gabriel..."

'Bang' what greeted him next was a bullet from Gabriel.

Holding a flint on his hand, Gabriel looked coldly at the other servants and said, "Get out of our way, I'm not very patient right now."

Everyone was frightened, by the move of Gabriel as they moved to side and gave us way.

On the way, Gabriel looked towards Oliver with a apologic face and said, "I am sorry master oliver for being disgraceful."

Oliver shooked his head and said, "I know you did all of this for us, so don't apologize."

Gabriel said no more, he had a little smile on his face and continued to follow Oliver.

10 minutes later,

Oliver and Gabriel made it to the hideout. There was no one there. Few minutes later a noise came from the bushes. Gabriel pulled of his flint and pointed it towards the bush. Alucard came out of the bush with his hands up. Gabriel had an un-natural expression. Noticing that Leo was not there he asks him about Leo.

Alucard said, "When we reached the hiding place, we waited for master Oliver, but master Leo asked me for food. So we went deeper into the forest and found a broken old wooden house there. I left Master Leo there and searched for any wild fruit. I was near this area when i heard some footsteps. I came to check and found you guy."

[Oliver pov]

Without wasting any more time, we followed Alucard deeper into the woods. Walking with a quick pace, we got to our destination in 12 minutes. After looking at the damaged house Gabriel had a questionable look on his face, but he quickly returned to normal.

Then we saw Alucard went to the back of the house and entered the house via a window. We followed him inside the house and saw Leo biting an orange like fruit with swirling patterns on it.

Taking a bite, his eyes twitched and he coughed loudly. Then noticed us when got close to him. immediately he had a joyous expression on his face, he ran towards me and gave me a hug.

When he looked up to my face, i asked him where he got that fruit from. He got a guilty expression and told us how he left the house looking for food when he felt hungry. When he discovered the strange fruit, he picked it up and came back to the house.

I was speechless for a moment. 'You just ate an unknown devil fruit because you were hungry'
