One Piece: Reincarnated as Vivi

An inhabitant of our world suffers an untimely death after a meeting with a strange old lady and wakes up in the body of Nefertari Vivi. Upload rate: 5-6 chapters a week. Support me on Patreon -patreon.com/Kriogenix You can get 10 advanced chapters ahead of time. Extra info: - The story is going to follow the adventures of the Strawhat crew. This will not be an AU. - The fic is going to be told from the perspective of the MC. That means that many events will the omitted or skimmed over if the MC is not present. Some knowledge of canon will be required. - There will be romance later on in the story but it will not be the main focus. The pairing has not been decided yet (feel free to give recommendations). But it would most definitely be a female. Even if you don't like yuri, don't worry because as I said, it will not be the focus of the story in any way. But I just feel that a fic with no pairings is missing something.

Chapter 1: Wake up

"Look, she is waking up." A female voice said.

"Quick, let me see her." A young voice said with authority.

As soon as she opened her eyes, she was overwhelmed by the light. She remembers spending a very long time in complete darkness, but it was difficult to say how long that lasted…

'Wait…I thought I died…I remember…' She could not get her thoughts in order.

After the initial confusion passed and her eyes adjusted, she was startled by the strange blonde man that was leaning over her while crying.

"You're finally awake!." The blonde man said.

'Why does He seem familiar? I have never seen someone with eyebrows that crazy before. It reminds her of a spiral.'

"Who are you? are you a doctor?." She asked, wondering if she has survived after all.

The blonde man was taken aback and made a frightened expression.

"Lady Vivi?!, did you forget about me? "

"Wait, move aside. Let me see her."

She heard a voice coming from the side. When she turned her head to face the speaker, She could not believe what she was seeing. A tiny humanoid animal with clothes was looking at her.

"What is that?!." She immediately regretted her words after seeing the flash of pain on the face of the small humanoid.

"I'm Chopper. I'm a doctor and I need to ask you some questions." Chopper said while taking a seat next to her bed.

'Chopper? No wonder He looked familiar too. But that's imposible.'

She looked across the room to the last occupant who was sitting in one corner, looking at her. A beautiful girl with short orange hair.

"Nami?." She said without thinking.

"So, you remember Nami, that's good. What is the last thing You remember, Vivi?." Chopper said.

'Vivi? As in princess Vivi from Arabasta? This is not possible. None of this can be real.' Her head was starting to hurt and everything started to spin around and it was getting difficult to breathe.

"Vivi, are you ok?" Nami asked with concern in her eyes.

"Vivi, calm down. I think she is suffering some sort of mental shock." Chopper explained.

Before she passed out, the last thing she saw was the crying face of Sanji, yelling her name.

--------------------------------------------------

She had a strange dream. She was the little princess of the Kingdom of Arabasta. She meet a boy named Koza and showed him her favorite place in the world. They became best friends.

Images of other people came into her mind. Her father Nefertari, was always kind to her.

There was also Chaka, Pell, Igaram, Terracota…Karoo.

She opened her eyes swiftly and almost jumped out of the bed in fright.

'What was that? They seemed like memories.'

Her head was still hurting but she could not just go back to sleep. She needed to find out what happened to her.

She started to inspect the room and realized that it was a different one from before, now it looked more like a ship cabin with wooden walls instead of stone ones. She was also alone this time, or so she thought, until she spotted Nami, sleeping on a nearby bed.

"Nami…so that part was not a dream…"

'Am I really in a fantasy world? How is that possible?.'

She approached a nearby mirror to look at herself. She had brown eyes and impossibly blue hair. She poked her face to make sure that she was looking at her reflection.

'I'm really Vivi?...uh?'

She then noticed a bandage tightly wrapped around her head and a few other bandages around her right arm.

'What happened to me?.'

The door then opened and Chopper walked inside.

"Oh, you are awake again. Good."

"Chopper…what happened to…" She wanted to ask what happened to her.

"Take a seat on the bed, please. I need to change your bandages and then we can talk." Said Chopper with confidence.

'Oh?. He must be in doctor mode right now.' Thought Vivi with some amusement.

She did as told and Chopper go to work in replacing her bandages.

"Is healing well and there is no sign of infection. Now, what is the last thing you remember?."

'The last thing I remember?....what was it?' She tried hard to recall her last moments.

'I was on my way back home, it was late at night…and…oh yes!. I met that strange old lady.'

It was a very bizarre encounter so she remembers it very clearly. The old lady asked her for some charity. She barely had any money since her job didn't pay well. She only had twenty-two dollars in her pocket that was supposed to last her until the end of the week before her next pay. But she felt that this woman needed them more, so she gave what she had to the old lady and walked away.

But then she said something strange. Instead of giving her a 'thank you' or something of the sort, the lady said "I can grant you any wish you have. The wish will be equivalent to your generosity."

She found the comment not only strange but also kind of funny, so she remembers her reply, "Really? any wish?. Can I wish for a better life?." She then chuckled and walked away. She still had ten more minutes of walking before getting home and she felt very tired.

It was late at night and there were almost no cars around. The streets were almost pitch black because the government of her city didn't want to spend much money to maintain that poor neighborhood so there were barely any working lights.

She was only a few blocks away from her apartment when it happened. She always made sure to look before crossing, it was one of the few things she remember her mother teaching her before she passed away.

There were no cars in sight, everything was still pitch black, so she started crossing the street.

Then, out of nowhere, a strong light appeared on her side. She looked in horror to find a big vehicle running towards her at great speed. And then…nothing.

'I'm sure I died then. And then I appeared here? Well, I wasn't expecting heaven since I have never been a religious person…but… an anime world? that is something...' She came from her thoughts when realized that Chopper was still waiting for her answer. But is not like she could tell him what actually happened to her. What He wants to know is the last thing that Vivi remembers, and she has no idea.

"I'm sorry, I don't know what…happened."

"Do You remember being in Drum island? " Asked Chopper.

She didn't, but she does remember what happened in the story at least.

"I do."

"What about King Wapol and his cronies?."

"Yes, Luffy and the others fought them, right?." She answered.

Chopper nodded.

"When Luffy was fighting against Wapol, a big piece of the castle broke off, and debris fell to where you, Dalton, and some others were standing. One of those pieces hit you on the head and arm and you fell unconscious. The wound was very serious and for a moment we thought…"

'Wait…that was not supposed to happen. Vivi didn't get injured on that island. I don't remember her doing anything important there…did…did the real Vivi die? And I took her place somehow?.' She could not help but wonder.

"Anyways. Thanks to doctor Kureha, we managed to save you. And there doesn't seem to be any permanent damage, other than some memory loss. You can count yourself lucky." Explained Chopper.

"Thank you Chopper. You are a great doctor." Said Vivi while giving the small dear a hug.

'I guess I owe him and doctor Kureha this second chance.'

Chopper got flustered and separated from her.

"Idiot!, I don't want to get praised!."

He said that but seemed very happy.

'How cute.' She thought.

"Oh, by the way. Where are we now? I noticed that the room is different from before."

"We are in their ship. The Going Merry, I think is called. When you woke up the last time, You were still in the castle, back in Drum island. But Nami and the others insisted that We must hurry to Arabasta, so we were forced to move you to the ship against my recommendation." Said Chopper with a serious expression.

'I see. So we are on our way to Arabasta…to fight Crocodile… Ohh crap…'
