Title: A New Crew Member...

-Ace POV-

Seeing Nami be all embarrassed around me and even develop a slight crush is entertaining. But at this time, Nami asks me. "I want to join your crew!"

As she says that she has an unsure look on her face, I guess the fifteen-year-old Nami doesn't have the boldness that she will have three years from now.

I do contemplate taking her for my crew, but that is where the problem arises. Luffy will die if I do that, this will be a big change, the Strawhats survive a lot of times only because of Nami. Now, while I will give it my all to find the One Piece before him, I don't want Luffy to die either. I grew up with the kid and he has grown on me.

It will be a different scale from the changes that I made during childhood, and even if I don't necessarily care for the timeline, I can't kill Luffy. So in the end, I just sigh and pat Nami on the head.

"You are too young to do that, you must be at least seventeen to join my crew." I tell her with a smile as I pat her head. She pouts at me but doesn't say anything anymore. So I continue with a smile on my face. "Also, in three years, my little brother will set to sea, can you look after him?"

Nami looks at me with a curious look in her eyes. "Your brother… what is his name."

"Luffy… Monkey D. Luffy." I answer her and pinch her cheeks lightly. 

"Agh! Don't treat me like a kid!" Yells Nami as she pushes my hands away from her face. I only laugh at that.

I then look at Nojiko and smile at her, she seems surprised by my sudden attention on her.

"Hm?" She is confused by me until I ask her. "Wanna join my crew?"

"Sure." Answers Nojiko casually. "But, I don't really have anything to offer to the crew."

'Well, you have your body.' I think in my head, but don't say something like that. In the end, I shake my head and say. "Doesn't matter…"

"Oh, okay then. I guess going on an adventure with you would be fun." Says Nojiko again casually, shocking the villagers and Nami too.

"What?!!" Exclaims Genzo, the man with a mustache and scars around his body. "No way Nojiko!! You aren't gonna become a two-bit pirate!! What would Bellemere think of that?!!"

Nojiko smiles once she hears that, with a nostalgic look in her eyes she look at the villagers and smiles."She would try to stop me… but this time I am gonna be a little rebellious. Hahahaha… I am at that age after all."

Nami pouts in annoyance and pinches my side as I look at Nojiko with a smile, she smiles back too. This annoyed her sister so she kept pinching me, she is one of those jealous types then.

"Let's go and notify the other villages too!! This will definitely make everyone ecstatic. Let's throw a feast for our heroes!!" Says one of the people in the crowd, as he goes away to notify the other villages in Conomi Islands.

Well, I guess this will be more entertaining than expected then. I decide to do something else entertaining too, as my face cringes as if I ate a lemon.

"What is wrong?" Asks one of the villagers. I look at the man who asked that.

"Well…" I start by saying with a frown on my face. "I am not a hero… a hero shares things with other… I don't wanna share things with others!!"

As I say that with a passion in my voice, everyone looks at me strangely. 

"Don't worry Ace, you won't have to share anything with anyone." Intervenes Sabo, after hearing that my face morphs back into a smile.

"Oh, then I am a hero I guess." I tell everyone while scratching the back of my head. 

Everyone looks at me strangely, as if unsure of what to do next.

….

So like this, a feast starts, that lasts for three days. One in which I slipped put midway through and using <Geppo> and a map, I went to the 16th Marine Branch, killed captain Nezumi and destroyed a part of the building. 

I need to get my bounty, after all, so doing this will cause the World Government to investigate my pirate career, and then they will find that I killed Arlong. Showing my power once more and raising my bounty higher.

After that, I return back to the feast, it didn't take more than a couple of hours to do all that for me. I was after all just destroying an East Blue marine base filled with weaklings.

….

After the feast ends, I and my new crew were quite happy.

Currently, I am laying down on the ground, looking at the sky as the sun comes up.

"Oy, Ace… let's go." I hear Nojiko's voice whisper to me. I turn around and look at her, see that she has a bag over her shoulder and a serious look on her face.

I smile at her and get up, I know that some of the villagers are awake around us too. I can sense that, but they seem to not want to do a goodbye filled with crying and other actions like that, at least that is the most likely reason for them acting like sleeping.

So Ace and Nojiko go to wake up the rest of his crew, Sabo and Cat wake up easily, but Deuce has tp be slapped my Nojiko to wake up.

After that, they all set sail, and as they leave the shores of the island. They see the villagers, who were 'asleep' now waging at them.

"Ace wait for me in the seas!!" Yells out Nami, Ace gives her a thumbs up.

"Yeah! I will be waiting for you Nami!" Says Ace, making Nojiko look at him and sigh.

'He has no clue what she meant by 'wait for' means in Nami's case.' Thinks Nojiko as she looks at Ace's back.

Her captain turns around he has tears in his eyes. "I feel like I will miss them already~"

The rest of the crew members look at him weirdly as he cries even more than Nojiko who just left her hometown. Cat comes and pats Ace on the back, thinking that action might get him some extra food.

Nojiko looks at the giant tiger with a strange look on her face. She can't help but think that this crew is way too weird, the giant tiger being the most supportive when one cries, she doesn't understand that Cat only does that because it thinks that he will get more food by doing so.

She sees Sabo pull out a map and she asks. "Where are we gonna go next?"

"Lougetown and then the Grand Line." Says Deuce as he enters the conversation, surprising Nojiko, seeing the man not writing something. 

"Oy, Nojiko, since you aren't as physically strong as us physically." Says Ace. "You will need to learn something long-range, like shooting a gun."

"Hm? Sure. Who is gonna teach me then?" Asks Nojiko, looking around at which one of them seems like the type to know how to shoot a weapon. Deuce looked most likely since he doesn't seem to have a close-range weapon like Sabo and Ace.

"I will." Says Ace, she looks at him and blinks twice. He sees the doubt in her eyes, so Ace goes into the cabin and pulls out a pistol and a plate.

He throws the plate in the air and without looking he shoots the gun.

Pow!!

Nojiko's eyes widen at this, not expecting Ace to be a sharpshooter.

Baam!

And that is when the plate that he threw fell on his head. The plate broke over his head.

Nojiko looks at this, confused as she sees her captain grab his head and roll around on the ground whining in pain.

The cool image of Ace that she had in her head immediately disappeared.

Ace then goes into the cabin again and takes out three plates this time and shoots at them. 

This time, Nojiko gets some of her feelings for Ace back as he sees that he shoot the plates without looking at them.

Baam!

But that image is again ruined as she sees the broken plate parts land on his head once more and he is bleeding from his head while rolling on the ground screaming for a doctor.

….

A/N: Taking Nami away from the Strawhats will kill Luffy. This is bigger than some small change, she has saved Luffy and the Strawhats countless times. Ace doesn't necessarily need Nami either… except maybe having another pretty face around.
