Chapter 73

Title: Ace...

As the young man says that, everyone at the party is looking at him. When Jaw looks at him he immediately recognizes who it is. 

'Portgas D Ace.' Concludes Jaw with a smile on his face. Seeing the son of his old captain brings quite some fun memories to him. Though he didn't really try to save any of them or their families, Jaw wouldn't say that he wasn't fond of his friends that he made aboard the Oro Jackson (Roger's Ship). 

As Ace looks around at the delicious food. Bit as soon as he does that,  behind him comes a muscular man with spiky long light blue hair, and wears a very long opened coat which stretches down to his knees and leaves his chest exposed. 

"Captain! This place is dangerous as fu*k. We need to get out of here!" Criticizes the blue-haired man, scared out of his mind as he looks at the people around the tables. Each of them having bounties beyond imagination in comparison to Ace, who only had a 200,000,000 ß bounty.

Not only did Jaw have a 4,800,000,000 ß Bounty but some of his kids had high bounties now too. 

The lowest amongst them was "Shinigami" Ichigo. Bounty: 300,000,000 ß

His crimes include many, from killing a marine Vice Admiral, to destroying the G-5 Marine base in the New World.

Ace had recently defeated a Vice Admiral too, but even that was barely so. Ichigo on the other hand defeated one, and his whole G-5 base single-handedly.

But Ichigo's bounty is quite low when compared to some others, one of the people with a bounty higher than Ichigo is another one of Jaw's children. This one is sitting next to one of her younger siblings (Sasuke) and pinching his cheeks till they are red. "Sasuke, your cheeks are so nice. I just wanna pinch them all day long."

"Aaaaa… Mikoto -neechan don't say something like that." Whines Sasuke.

"Sweet Smile" Mikoto. Bounty: 400,000,000 ß

Her crimes include many, from extortion, murder. Holding marines hostage and even participating in the event dubbed as the Celestial Dragon Brutalization, in which Jaw and a couple of his children publicly in front of Sabaody Archipelago in the middle of the day brutalized three Celestial Dragons. It was noted that Mikoto had a smile on her face during the whole process.

Now come the big deals, as Masked Deuce looks at the fishman whose resemblance to his father is impeccable. "The Beast" Kisame… Bounty: 700,000,000 ß

His crimes include many, he too was part of the Celestial Dragon Brutalization, but he has also already killed some Vice Admirals and sunk many marine ships… even outside of the New World. Also, he has his own crew which is part of Jaw's overall crew. He has also destroyed the Wakaba Kingdom of North Blue, for publicly insulting his family one night when the king was drunk.

Then comes the scariest one of them all, the one sitting next to his father Jaw. "Thunder Spear" Kakashi.

Bounty: 1,000,000,000 ß

The one who contended with Admiral Aokiji and came out unharmed. Out of Jaw's children, he is the one considered the scariest. Not only does he manage a huge part of the New World black market. But he is the type of guy who will never fight you unless he is sure of his victory. He is considered as a planner of the highest caliber and has already fooled the World Government countless times.

So Deuce, seeing his captain interrupting something like this. Ace on the other hand seemed confused by this till he saw Jaw…

"WHAAA!!!" Ace is shocked by that and his eyes almost jump out of their sockets. He obviously knows who the Yonko are, as he has seen their Bounty Posters countless times. 

Jaw on the other hand has a smile on his face and says. "You are welcome to join us if you want. If your father was alive I would have invited him to my son's wedding. Jajajajajaja…."

Ace's face immediately becomes a serious one as he looks at Jaw, who smirks showing his razor-sharp teeth. Everyone else was confused by whose Ace's father was. Even his children couldn't guess who he was talking about.

"You knew my father?" Asks Ace with a glistering look in his eyes. 

"Jajajaja… of course, I knew him. I was a part of his crew and he was my captain for a while." Admits Jaw, immediately his children know who he is talking about. Even Neptune's eyes widened in shock, he was there when Jaw joined Roger's crew. He knew exactly who was Jaw's previous captain.

Ace smiles at that and goes and sits at one of the tables and takes a huge bite out of some meat piece. "Well don't mind me if I do. Hahahahaha…"

Jaw then looks at Masked Deuce who was frozen in shock and invites him too. "If you are part of Ace's crew you are welcome to join us too."

Masked Deuce doesn't even think about it and in a trace sits down next to Ace. Which is a table close to the entrance of the palace. 

Suddenly a kid comes and touches his jacket. He looks down and sees a kid, which he assumes to be Jaws. The child seemed around five years old, has pink hair, and a smile on his face. "Hey, why do you wear such a sh*tty mask around your eyes?"

Mikoto immediately calls out. "Natsu, language!"

"Ah! Sorry. I meant to ask why do you wear such a lame and horrible mask."

"Don't be rude like that Natsu. Ask nicer!" 

…

Jaw on the other hand was eating with no care in the world while Neptune lost his appetite.

"So Roger had a son… who would have thought." Ponders Neptune in a whisper.

"I thought and knew he had a son." Says Jaw casually.

"You did?" Questions Neptune. "Where has been all this time? And how come the marines didn't find out? I mean at that time every pregnant woman around the four seas was checked if they were pregnant or were with a baby." 

Jaw shrugs at that. "Well, Garp was the one who protected Roger's child. The mother also held her baby for way longer than possible. Though she died later on due to the difficult birth."

"Damn…" Curses Neptune silently. "If the World Government knew of this. They would do almost anything to kill Roger's son."

"They can try." Shrugs Jaw as he takes a big bite out of some meat. 

Neptune gets curious when Jaw says that. "What do you mean by that? Will you protect him?"

Jaw stops eating and while chewing his food he looks at Neptune. "We are pirates, I don't need to hold his hand. If he wanted a safe and quiet life, he should have just lived quietly in some corner of the world."

When Jaw says it like that, Neptune understands that he won't protect Ace. After all, they are both pirates, one doesn't become a pirate and then beg to be protected because he is afraid of his actions and the rage they might entice. If one expects some other pirate to protect him, then he shouldn't become a pirate at all. 

Jaw just implied that if one doesn't have the stomach to be a pirate. He should just go and hide in a corner of the world, living away the rest of his life.

AUTHOR NOTE:

We see some of the bounties of some of the kids... and there is a story to Kakashi, fighting Aokiji and getting away unharmed. News can be overinflated a little sometimes. Also no, Kakashi isn't Admiral level.
