Chapter 16: The Hyena Gang Laughs For The Last Time

(3rd Person: POV)

In a mansion on the outskirts of Wishing Wells main town several armed guards patrolled the property and the surrounding forest.

Inside of the mansion in a highly decorated room sat several men.

One of them was sitting on a makeshift throne.

He is an older man with swept back jet-black hair and beady brown eyes. His attire consists of fine clothing and at the moment he is holding a bottle of expensive liquor in his right hand.

This mans name is Kamekeno Dorsey. A former pirate and the founder and leader of the Hyena gang.

Taking a swig from the liquor bottle in his right hand Dorsey completely ignored the muffled cries originating from the left side of his throne.

The cries themselves being made by an older woman with long-blonde hair and dark eyes who is bound and gagged.

Her name is Wilda.

The mother of Weisz.

Who at the moment is totally and utterly frightened and confused.

She had heard of the Hyena gang. Everyone in Wishing Well knew who they were and what they did. But what Wilda does not understand is why members of the gang broke into her house and kidnapped her. She has never associated with them or crossed them in any way.

'Why, why did they do this to me?!' Wilda thought.

Silently sobbing even more as she did so.

As Wilda continued to cry to herself one of the men in the room spoke up.

"Hey boss, are you sure that little punk will show up?"

"Oh, I'm sure." Dorsey replied to the man who asked the question.

One of his lieutenants in the gang.

Dorsey then turned his gaze to Wilda, who flinched as he did so.

"The boy loves his mother from what I've heard. And would do anything to protect her. So all we have to do is sit and wait and he'll show up eventually. But on the off chance he doesn't well...then you boys know what to do." Dorsey spoke. Putting a savage grin on his face and beginning to chuckle loudly after he did so.

His lieutenants followed suit.

Hearing the laughter of these madmen made Wilda even more frightened by the second. But other than fear she also started to become filled with worry.

Namely after Dorsey mentioned her son Weisz.

'Weisz. My good boy. Are you involved with these people?' Wilda thought.

She had so many questions, and no answers.

The more Wilda thought about things the more it made her head spin.

Meanwhile Dorsey and his lieutenants continued laughing like madmen.

That is until a single moment changed everything.

*Boom!*

Hearing an explosion the entire room fell silent.

A second after they did so one of the Hyena gangs members threw open the doors to the room, a terrified expression on his face.

"Report. What the fuck is happening?" Dorsey asked his subordinate.

"We're under attack sir." The subordinate immediately answered.

Hearing this made Dorsey angry, but also curious.

Since he had no clue who could be attacking his gangs headquarters.

He always paid off the marines in town to look the other way, and the locals were all to afraid of his gang to stand up to them. So this left Dorsey with a slight headache of who would be dumb enough to attack him and his men.

But eventually Dorsey dismissed those thoughts and focused on one simple task.

Eliminating the people who dared to attack his gangs headquarters.

"Men. Go eliminate whoever it is that is attacking us. Make them hurt, make them beg for death. I want to hear their cries of agony." Dorsey spoke.

"Yes, boss!" Dorsey's lieutenants answered in unison.

They then prepared to go out and face the enemy.

Having no idea they were about to face monsters.

A smile on his face Roberts mowed down any and all members of the Hyena gang who stood in his path using his blade.

A few moments ago his group arrived at the mansion they used as their base.

Once they did so Roberts gave his crew one simple order.

Kill any member of the gang they saw. Let no one escape.

Since tonight they would purge the Hyena gang from existence.

Which is exactly what Robert's crew was doing.

In her partial zoan form Alfia rained down sonic screams from the sky. Killing the Hyena gang members in droves.

Those with guns attempted to shoot her down. But she easily dodged every single shot aimed in her direction. She then used her sonic screams to kill the gunmen.

His [Room] encompassing the entire mansion Law cut apart gang members with a cool expression on his face.

"Fuck this shit!" One of the gang members cried.

He then dropped his weapon and started to run for his life.

But before he could get far Law used [Amputate] and severed his body at the waste. Turning him into two halves.

As the man's legs continued to run, his top half fell face first onto the ground.

Lifting his head up the Hyena gang members could only cry out in utter terror as he saw his legs running away with his very own eyes.

His hands and feet coated in electricity Bepo moved across the property, delivering electrically charged attacks to any enemy within range.

"Fuck, why is a fucking polar bear so damn tough!" One of the Hyena gang shouted.

Hearing this Bepo stopped fighting and got a cloud of depression over his head. "I'm sorry."

"Why did it suddenly get depressed?!" Several Hyena gang members shouted in unison.

As soon as they did so Bepo snapped out of his depression and started delivering attacks to them. Which caused them to cry out in agony and pain.

Next to Roberts side, a gun in hand, Weisz witnessed all of this.

As he did so one thought ran across his mind.

'I fucked up big time! These guys are monsters!' Weisz thought.

Since in this moment he is truly realizing how fucked he is after he tried to screw over Roberts and his crew.

A realization that has come too late unfortunately.

As Roberts cut down the last Hyena gang member in front of him the front doors of the mansion burst open and several men came out. Their gazes directed at Robert and Weisz as soon as they did so.

"Shit, it's the gangs lieutenants!" Weisz shouted.

"Oh, good." Roberts said.

He then raised his free hand and used [Siphon] to drain vitality from the gang lieutenants in front of him.

"Ah, what is this, my energy!"

"Stop, no stop!"

"Agh!"

The Hyena gang lieutenants all cried in utter horror as they were affected by Roberts devil fruit ability.

When he felt he had drained enough energy from them he canceled his power and lowered his hand. The gang lieutenants before him now sickly and pale. Looking like living ghosts.

One of them looked at Roberts. "Are you the grim reaper?"

"Not for everyone. But I am yours." Roberts replied.

He then without any hesitation closed the distance to the ganga lieutenants and killed them all using his blade.

Once this happened Roberts shouted. "Guys, Roberts and I heading inside the mansion. Cover us and each other!"

"Understood, captain." Bepo answered.

"I heard you." Law replied.

Alfia said nothing but Roberts knew she heard him.

So with that he and Weisz headed inside the mansion.

After entering Roberts expanded his observation haki to encompass the entire mansion and easily found the location Weisz's mother and Dorsey.

"Follow me." Roberts said.

He then started running, Weisz right behind him.

Eventually the two of them came to a set of double doors, which Roberts kicked open without any hesitation upon reaching.

The moment the two of them were in the room they spotted Dorsey sitting on a makeshift throne, Weisz mother sitting bound and gagged right next to it.

"Mom!" Weisz cried in utter relief.

"Oh, so you are the brat Weisz huh." Dorsey spoke.

As he did so Weisz turned his gaze to him and glared at him angrily. He then raised his pistol in his direction and pulled the trigger.

But just after this happened Dorsey left his chair and dodged the bullet without even trying.

Seeing this Weisz was shocked. But Roberts wasn't in the least.

"How?" Weisz questioned.

"Hehehe, I'll show you how brat." Dorsey replied.

His body then began to transform. Until eventually Dorsey looked like a Hyena-human hybrid.

"So it's true, you did eat a devil fruit." Roberts spoke.

"Yep. The Inu Inu No Mi: Model Hyena." Dorsey proudly spoke. He then started laughing, his Hyena forming changing his laugh to that akin to an actual Hyena's.

"Guh, shut the hell up. Your laugh is murdering my ears." Roberts said.

The moment he did so Dorsey stopped laughing and looked directly at him. "What was that, you brat?"

"What, could you not hear me over your horrible laughter?" Roberts asked. "If not I'll say it again. Your laugh was murdering my ears so shut the fuck up."

Hearing this Dorsey got angry. "You die first brat!" He spat at Roberts. "And you should feel honored. After all your about to be killed by a former pirate with a bounty of 23 million."

"Oh yeah, I feel real honored." Roberts sarcastically spoke.

Which only enraged Dorsey even further.

Releasing an angry howl Dorsey charged at Roberts, while the latter did the same. A grin on his face.

Since he was finally about to get his first real challenge tonight.
