A Marine Recruit

Jack arrived at the main office to start his training. Z , " Based on your strength , you will train under me. We call them special recruits, you will be trained differently from normal recruits. A senior will give you further explanation ", he ring the bell.

A pink haired women enters and salutes. " She will tell you what you need to do ", Z gestures him to go. It sees that even if recruits are strong he won't be biased, Jack thinks follow her outside.

" Hi, I am Jack. " ; " Shut up and follow me ", she interrupt him, he follow. They arrived at room full of recruits. Some are fighting, some are doing work out.

She face him, " This is room where we will train, it is especially for us. You need to learn about all weapons when you start training. After that one can increase their fighting skills with the weapon they prefers. Since you ate devil fruit you may focus on that. By the way, I am Hina ".

" So, should I start my training ", Jack gets excited seeing them training. " No you won't. Come with me ", Jack get confused but follow her.

They arrive at a room. " You will first learn all the rules and regulations ; history ; information about general marine base ; navigation and operating a ship. You will do training along with normal recruits in the morning. Learn these after that ".

Hina leaves. Jack open the door to see an elder with white hair, beard which cover his neck and round glasses sitting in a chair with group of teenagers in front of him. Elder see Jack , walk towards him with a smile.

" You must be new recruit. I am Teshin , I teach all material knowledge. Read books and ask if you have doubt ", Teshin point towards a rack full of books.

Jack search for history and geography books. He see a man wave his hand. Jack sit beside him. " Hi, I am Leo. The oldest guy here ", Jack shake hands and introduce himself.

" Everyone here are 12 - 15 years old. We have two years to complete the books. That old man is a retired head of intelligent department. He is well known to work behind the scenes. ", Leo ; Jack, " There are more people here than in training area ", ask leo confused.

" Not only from special recruits, people from weapon department , intelligent and science department come to learn here ", " Science ? ", jack ponders. " Yes, that is hardest department, the struggle there is more intense as they want to see Dr. Vegapunk ", Leo clarifies his doubt.

" What is your age ? ", Leo asks, " 18 ", Jack clarifies. " Congrats, you are now the oldest here ", Leo laughs. Jack sighs , " So, we have to be here for 2 years ? ".

" No , after one year you can apply for exams ", Jack is happy to hear that he can go out of this place early and start reading.

4 months passed since Jack stayed in Marineford. He learned everything he can about this world. He read history of this world more than anything.

Leo and him always do anything together. Leo become his friend. He found that leo ambition was to become head of intelligence, instead become a trainee. They are also dorm mates.

He does tease Hina as he can talk to her for any doubts. He spreads rumors about her and smoker once in a while. " Where is Jack ", Hina kicks the door and ask Leo grabbing his collar. " Don't know ", Leo shutters. Hina scoff and leaves to search for him.

He is now sitting on the rooftop. Jack see the stars and sighs. " This world is really rotten ", he mutters after learning, Jack knows that this world is sick through anime. But after learning history , he now thinks that this world is rotten to the core and no one can cure it.

" You are thinking the same ", a man with cloak appears in front of him. Jack release his killing intent to shut him up before he tell to anyone.

" Its me. Don't worry, I won't tell to anyone ", he remove the hood. Seeing his face , Jack calms himself.

" How can Rear Admiral Dragon come here to observe a recruit ? ", Jack asks facing him. He didn't raise his head as Jack is almost same height as him. Due to intense training during the last 2 years Jack is 250 cm height.

" I was observing you for a while , you are not like the rest. Explain me about earlier sentence ", Dragon asks not minding his attitude.
