The Lightning Kirin's roar thundered through the air, followed by its swift descent. The lightning it brought with it was incredibly fast. Even though they saw the Lightning Kirin dive toward them, they were helpless to move out of its path; it was just too quick.

"Rumble!! Boom!!"

The sound of a thunderclap burst from the ground as a sudden explosion of lightning engulfed the entire vicinity, delivering a massive electrical shock to those caught within its reach.

The shock was so powerful that escape was not an option; they couldn't dodge or shield themselves from the impact of the lightning.

Confronted with the fearsome Lightning Kirin, their only option was to endure the attack, taking the full force of the lightning with their bodies, withstanding the relentless assault as best they could.

When the chaos of the lightning ceased, the ground was left scorched, with burnt and scarred marks everywhere.

The once lush and vibrant green land had been transformed into a desolate, blackened terrain.

"Cough! Cough!"

The Homies soldiers, struck by the electricity, lay scattered on the ground, like flies.

The scene was strikingly similar to how Nami could instantly defeat the Homies with a burst of lightning. Yet, when it came to manipulating lightning, Brontes was far more powerful than Nami.

Who else but Brontes could call forth beings like the Lightning Dragon and Lightning Kirin from the clouds? Such a feat demanded a level of precision in controlling lightning that not even the likes of Kaido or Big Mom could match.

Perospero and the others struggled to move even an inch, as the powerful electrical shock had left them paralyzed.

"Damn it! It's very hot!" Perospero, leading this fleet, had pushed his devil fruit powers to the limit to shield his siblings and crew, which resulted in him sustaining the most damage.

He attempted to cover his body with candy slime, but the intense heat of the lightning caused the candy to melt.

Nevertheless, it did provide some protection from the lightning's damage. The Homies, however, stood no chance against the lightning and were completely taken out.

"Are you ready for the journey to Impel Down?" Brontes stood before Perospero, smiling at the remaining members of the Charlotte family who were still on their feet.

"Don't underestimate us!" Daifuku yelled, twisting his waist. As the lid at his waist opened, steam poured out.

"Majin!" Daifuku called out.

A Majin, enveloped in blue Armament Haki and wielding a naginata similar to Whitebeard's, charged at Brontes and brought the weapon down in a slashing motion.

"Majin, Slash!"

"Clang!"

Brontes casually lifted his hand to block the Majin's slash, effortlessly pinching the blade of the naginata between two fingers, unmoved by the attack.

"To be honest, you're a bit disappointing. Apart from Big Mom, the Big Mom Pirates are nothing impressive." Brontes said, shaking his head.

"I got you!"

An attacker lunged at Brontes from behind, brandishing a long sword that glinted with a yellow light.

"Die! You damn Marine!"

Brontes let out a light chuckle and said: "Seriously, you still haven't understood the situation. Well, it's time to wrap this up. I find no joy in defeating you. I'll just wait for Big Mom to show up."

Perospero realized that escaping was almost out of the question. Their only option was to delay Brontes until Big Mom could come to their aid.

If they didn't, Brontes would overpower them and send them off to the dreaded Impel Down prison. Once there, escaping would be a fantasy; they would be trapped for life.

"Attack him!" Perospero commanded, as he conjured a vast quantity of sticky candy.

The others joined in, using all their might against Brontes, trapped with no escape.

"Eight-Headed Lightning Divine Dragon!" Brontes said with soft voice.

Behind him, a colossal eight-headed dragon made entirely of lightning emerged.

In moments, the surrounding ten kilometers were ravaged by the dragon's fury.

A mere touch from the dragon meant a devastating electrical strike, and connected to Brontes, they acted like extensions of his power, relentlessly discharging lightning.

...

When Kaise and the other Marines arrived, they were met with a shocking scene: countless bodies stacked atop one another, forming a small mountain, with Brontes sitting atop them, unharmed, like a king.

"Admiral!" The marines called out as they ran toward Brontes.

"Put Seastone handcuffs on them and bring them to the warship." Brontes commanded.

"Yes, sir!" The marines quickly produced numerous Seastone handcuffs and secured all the members of the Charlotte family.

While Brontes rested, Kaise approached with a group of civilians. Brontes didn't recognize them at first, but he pieced together who they were from their conversation with Kaise.

"Salute to Admiral Ragnarok!" A middle-aged man with a thick beard bowed deeply to Brontes.

"Your Majesty, there's no need for that. Capturing pirates to ensure the safety of the seas is our responsibility as Marines." Brontes responded with a serene smile.

"Even so, we must express our gratitude to Admiral Ragnarok for coming to our nation's aid. The Big Mom Pirates have been a heavy burden, and my people have suffered greatly under their rule." The King of Totto Land expressed.

"Don't worry, we'll handle them." Brontes assured, offering only brief, polite responses to the people he didn't know well.

"Admiral, we've prepared a feast, please..." The King of Totto Land began, clearly trying to curry favor with Brontes.

"I'm sorry, but I must decline. These pirates are not just members of the Big Mom Pirates; they are also Charlotte Linlin's children. She won't ignore this. It's likely she'll come here herself." Brontes said calmly, his gaze fixed on the sea.

The King of Totto Land's voice shook with fear as he processed the information: "B-Big Mom is on her way here?"

"Yes, we've been informed. Big Mom has departed from Whole Cake Island and is expected to arrive here shortly." Brontes confirmed.

"Admiral Ragnarok, please, we need your assistance! Without your intervention, she will destroy our entire country." The King pleaded. Having been under Big Mom's thumb for years, he knew the extent of her ruthlessness.

The only reason he was still alive was that the Big Mom Pirates needed him to maintain order in Totto Land. He was aware that once he was no longer useful, they would not hesitate to eliminate him.

The King was painfully aware of the harsh reality that in this world, power is everything, and he felt utterly powerless.

Big Mom's reputation as a legend of the New World was well-known. Her story was unique among pirates; she was abandoned by her parents on Elbaf and later taken in by Mother Carmel, who, under the guise of sainthood, was actually dealing in child trafficking.

The full truth of what happened with Mother Carmel remained a mystery, but after acquiring the powers of the Soul-Soul Fruit, Big Mom quickly showcased her overwhelming combat prowess.

In her twenties, she became a member of the Rocks Pirates and started to exert her dominance over the New World. At that time, the Rocks Pirates were the sole power in the New World.

Big Mom's legend has endured, and her influence has instilled fear in the nations around her. There isn't a single country that doesn't tremble at the mention of her name.

She was known by many names—the man-eating giant, the evil witch—and these were the kind of terms neighboring countries used to describe her. Due to Big Mom's actions, many countries allied with the World Government had suffered attacks.
