7 Ch 7 : Syrup Village

A few days later, Nate arrived at Syrup village.

He has two goals in this village.

The first was to enjoy some delicacy in One piece world, and the second was to find a way to Cocoyasi Village.

Among all the people in One Piece world, Nate had decided that the one he needed the most to board his boat was the Genius Navigator Nami.

With his system, Nate was confident that he would be able to grow in admiral level or even Yonko level in just a few years. But it wouldn't be funny if he was crushed to death by the sea just because he didn't know anything about navigation at all.

There was a lot navigators in One Piece, but in the east blue, the easiest to approach was Nami.

Other than her Genous Navigator skill, Nate also desires Nami because he knows that Nami's character was one that could be trusted. She might be a bit "special" about money, but in the end, she was just a kind-hearted girl.

Nate landed on the beach of Syrup Village.

But unlike the original anime, there was no Ussop group to greet him this time.

It might be a coincidence that Ussop was not here to greet him, but still, Nate was grateful that he didn't need to deal with Ussop.

Not gonna lie. Among the original straw hats, the one Nate hated the most was Ussop, and Nate didn't think he could handle Ussop's annoying nature.

Nate walked for a while, and before long, he reached Syrup Village.

Syrup Village is a typical sleepy community, surrounded by grasslands, dirt trails, hills, and forests. The villagers live in simplistic houses, with Kaya's luxurious mansion sticking out among them.

Regarding Kaya's situation, Nate still didn't really know what he should do. He wanted to save Kaya, but on the other hand, convincing Kaya that Kuro was a pirate was a bit too much of a hassle.

Nate just walked into a restaurant called Meshi, where he proceeded to order some food and drinks.

The food came quickly, and while Nate was enjoying the local delicacy of this world, he incidentally heard a few villagers gossiping with each other.

The gossip was about a long-nosed kid whose father left him in the village. The long-nosed kid was a professional liar, and he used to spread terror for everyone in the village by yelling that pirates were coming.

Just by listening to this story, Nate immediately know that the long-nosed brat was none other than Ussop.

Indeed, if Nate was also a villager of the Syrup Village, he would be annoyed to death by Ussop.

Nate had just finished his food when suddenly he heard a system prompt on his mind.

[ DING!!! Finding the existence of a pirate on this island.]

[ Initiating the special bounty hunter system.]

[ In the bounty hunter system, the host could exchange the bounty of a pirate with the system. But because the host was exchanging it with the system, there would be a 50% penalty of the bounty.]

If Nate previously didn't have any intention to hunt Kuro, then this new system clearly changed his mind.

Kuro's bounty was worth 16,000,000 Berries. Adding the system penalties, it would still be worth 8,000,000 berries.

With that much amount of money, Nate could do a lot of Pokemon Gacha pull and maybe get a new Pokemon to strengthen himself.

Just when Nate was about to pay for his meal and found a clue for Kuro, he suddenly noticed a group of men in black.

They were formally dressed as some guards and butlers. While the one that attracted his eyes most was a tall skinny man. He had white curly hair, but on his head, there was a lamb's horn.

' If I'm not wrong, that should be Merry, Kaya's personal butler. It seems it wouldn't be long until I could get to Kaya.'

Nate frowned for a bit as he saw this, then an Idea popped to his head.

He looked at his appearance that seemed to be a bit decent, and proceeded to go in Mary's direction.

Merry and the group of the men saw Nate was approaching them.

At first, they were a bit wary as they didn't know anything about Nate, but when they saw that Nate was just a teenager with a pretty good feature, the group of men reduced their guard a bit.

" Sorry, I'm new here. Can I ask you something regarding this city?"

Nate's words were very polite, and seeing the polite gesture of Nate, the group of Buttler couldn't find any reason to refuse.

And so, Nate and the group of butler began to chat., and it went very smoothly. Nate as a person from earth had learned how to bring himself in front of new people, and that skill really brought its magic here.

Nate was able to mix up with those butlers and servants and was able to make them lower their defense with ease.

"Hahaha, that's a good one, so you already met with the long-nosed liar," a servant said while drinking and laughing.

"Ah, speaking about a liar, there was a popular story in my hometown about that," Nate said, thinking as he began to reminisce about Pinocchio, the wooden doll who gets punished every time he lies.

It could be said that the level of entertainment in the One Piece world was very low. Just a few paragraphs of stories from Nate, and he was able to capture the attention of the men surrounding him.

Nate continued to tell the story, and when the story ended, he was greeted with a big applause from the butlers.

" Great... the story is very good. If the young lady could hear the story, then maybe her mood would get better!"
