Valentine's Day (AU Chapter)
On a peaceful sunny morning in a small house in Kyoto, a red-haired teen was sleeping peacefully on his bed not aware that today was a special day for some people. This boy is Alexander D. Great, who is currently attending a local highschool near his house. Then while Alex was happily dreaming, his alarm suddenly went off.
*BEEP* *BEEP* *BEEP*
"Ugghhh, why did you have to go off now? I was dreaming that I was sailing with my crew and fighting strong people." said a sleepy Alex as he turned it off and went to freshen up. While he was freshening up, he saw the calendar and his eyes widened. "Holy F***! It's Valentine's Day today! I have to look good today. I wonder if Robin is gonna give me chocolate today? I mean our relationship has been getting better these past few months, so I might get her chocolate today. Maybe I'll confess to her when she gives it to me." Alex was smiling when he was thinking of the possibility that he was going to get a chocolate from Robin. He quickly called his blue-haired friend Franco and he said "FRANCO! It's Valentine's Day today! I'm so excited because Robin might give me chocolate! Maybe Makino will give you one too!" Franco was woken up by his best friend's energetic call and blushed at the end when Alex said his crush's name. "Yeah yeah, I know what day it is you don't have to yell you know." Franco just said in a calm manner not showing the fact that he was excited that maybe Makino will give him chocolate today. They quickly got ready for school to meet up with their friends and go to school together.
After getting ready for school, Alex was waiting for his best friend outside of his house for about five minutes. When Franco finally went out, Alex pulled his hand and ran to school because he was excited for today's events in school. They met up with their friends Fraulein and Braga who were waiting for them at the gate of their school. Fraulein was a blonde-haired kid who was more than two meters tall with long arms and legs, while Braga was a black-haired guy who was very fit and had a serious face. After they met up, they went inside the school and saw a lot of girls who were shy because they couldn't give their chocolates to the person they like. When the girls saw the four of them, they stopped and stared because they were the four most popular boys in the school. This was because they were the captains and the aces of their clubs. Alex for the kendo club, Franco for the football club, Fraulein for the basketball club, and Braga for the taekwondo club. They received chocolates from the girls in the school but for Alex and Franco, they were expecting chocolates from someone else.
"Do you think they forgot what day it is Franco?" asked Alex as he received the most chocolates from the group but he didn't get chocolates from the person he wants. "I don't think they forgot, let's wait until the day ends. Maybe they're just shy and won't give it to us with so many people around." said Franco as he was still hoping that Makino would give him chocolate today. Because they were getting chocolate from the girls, they were blocking the path and corridor and one of the students saw a teacher and was quickly scared as this was the strictest teacher in the school. He quickly said "Guys, Smoker-sensei is here we should go now before we get in trouble." the students who heard this quickly ran leaving the Alex and his group in the middle of the corridor. Smoker saw them and said "Why are the four of you still here?" then he saw the chocolates that they were holding and said, "So you were here getting chocolate instead of going to class. I will tell this to the principal and get all four of you to clean the pool later. Understood?" Alex who was a bit annoyed at this teacher said "Come on sensei, it's Valentine's Day today. Why don't you let us go just this once, and we'll give you some of our chocolate. That way you could have someone give you chocolate, am I right sensei?" The other three who heard this just shook their heads because they knew that their punishment would be harsher since Alex said that. "What are you saying! That's it you will be doing more than cleaning the pool later. Good luck you guys!" Smoker got annoyed and left them while thinking 'I should probably get a girlfriend too.' Alex got hit on the head by his three friends the Franco said "Why couldn't you just stopped at giving him the chocolate!? Why would you even say that he doesn't receive chocolate from anyone!? You know he's very sensitive about that!" what they didn't know that there were two girls who were hiding behind a wall holding chocolates.
Soon the day passed by and Alex still hasn't received any chocolate from Robin. 'Maybe she really doesn't have anything to give me.' Alex has started to feel down during break time he just sat on a random bench. He was already feeling sad and to add insult to injury, his best friend Franco had gotten his chocolate from Makino and told him "Alex! Look at this! Makino finally gave me her chocolate! She gave it to me a while ago at the rooftop. Did Robin give her chocolate to you?" Alex just shook his head and Franco just patted his shoulder and left him sitting on the bench and a pink-haired girl sat beside him. Alex did not need to look to see who was sitting beside him as he asked, "What do you want Petronia?" Petronia replied with a pout "How mean! I was just here to ask how you were doing because Robin still hasn't given you her chocolate." Alex answered "Well I just thought we were getting along well and I just thought that she would give me chocolate as a sign of our friendship or something. I wasn't expecting chocolate in that way but you know. It would've been nice to receive chocolate from her." Petronia just smiled while patting his shoulder and said "It's okay Alex, don't lose hope maybe she'll give it to you at the end of the day." Alex sighed and said "Hopefully she does."
The time passes and Alex still didn't receive anything from Robin. But after their final class ended, Alex went out of his classroom and he saw Robin going his way. Seeing that she was going his way, he called out to her but she didn't answer him and just bumped into him while putting something in his pocket. Alex notices this and reads the note. The notes says 'Meet me at the rooftop later after club activities.' Alex smiles at this and he thought that maybe this was when she was going to give him the chocolate. 'She really wanted to make this romantic. I'll have to give it to her.' thought Alex as he went up the stairs towards the rooftop.
The sun was already setting when he finally reached the rooftop, he saw Robin looking over the school grounds with her bag but he didn't see any chocolate box or anything. Alex saw this and said "I'm here already, what do you want." he said in a fake angry tone. Robin heard this and turned towards him with her black hair swaying with the wind and the sun setting behind her. Alex was in a daze when he saw this as he thought that the girl in front of him was really beautiful. Robin then said "Alex, I called you here because I wanted to tell you something." Alex then said "Okay, what is it?" while thinking 'Is she gonna confess to me? What perfect timing. It's Valentine's Day and we're on a rooftop and the sun is setting.' Robin then said, "Alex I'm sorry..." Alex was surprised 'I-I-I'm sorry? Wait what? This wasn't part of the script? Wasn't she supposed to say that she likes me or something?' but then smiled bitterly, while scratching his cheek and said "It's okay Robin, it's not like I was expecting anything hehe." but Alex didn't expect Robin wasn't finished with what she was saying. He then heard, "I wanted to give my chocolate to you since morning but you were always surrounded by other girls and I couldn't approach you. So, I took the chance when it was the last period to give you the note so that I could be alone with you here. So Alex, Happy Valentine's Day." while handing him the chocolate. Alex was surprised at the sudden twist of events and his emotions got the better of him as he hugged Robin while saying "Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! I thought you were mad at me because you were being so cold the whole day. I was waiting for your chocolate the whole day. I didn't care about the other girls' chocolate because a hundred of other girls' chocolates don't compare to your chocolate Robin. Happy Valentine's Day Robin! Please go out with me!" Robin didn't expect the hug and the sudden confession, but hugged him back as she said, "I also like you Alex! Let's go out together!"
After hugging for a while, they went home together while holding hands and Alex walked with Robin towards their house. When they arrived at Robin's house, Robin said "Bye Alex. See you tomorrow." then Alex replied, "See you tomorrow. Bye Robin." then as he left Robin pulled him back and kissed him on the cheek and ran inside of her house. Alex, who was still stunned at what Robin did, held his cheek while smiling and walked home. When he got home he ate dinner with his family, who asked him why he was so happy, and explained what happened today. His family was happy as to how things turned out because they've known that he liked Robin for a while now. After eating and taking a bath, Alex called Franco to brag about what happened today and asked him about him and Makino. They talked for a while then ended the call as they were going to sleep because there was school tomorrow. Alex slept with a smile on his face as he looked forward to tomorrow as that will be the first day that he will not be a single man.
