Meeting the Devil Child

After separating with Franco to explore the island himself and to look for Nico Robin and recruit her into his crew, Alex went around the village trying to get information about Nico Robin's whereabouts. He went to the shops while trying his best not to look suspicious so as not to alert her and she escapes from the island. While he was searching around, he tried most of the food that was served in the restaurants.

After a whole day of searching for Nico Robin without success, Alex just rested in a nearby inn to gain more energy to search for her tomorrow. While he was resting inside of his room, he did not notice an eye in the corner of the room that was observing him.

<Nico Robin POV>

'Why is he looking for me? Is he part of the Marines or Cipher Pol?' thought Nico Robin as she was observing Alex through her summoned eye in his room.

'I'll continue observing him for now. Well if he is a threat, I would just have to kill him.' she thought as she fell asleep and pushed her thoughts aside.

The next morning when she woke up, she just went on with her day. She was just planting seeds, harvesting crops, interacting with the villagers, and selling their harvests. Her normal routine for the past few months after the ship she was own docked here. She saw this island as a chance to live a peaceful life without being chased by the Marines or Cipher Pol. 'Wallachia Island really is a paradise for people who want to live their lives at peace, away from all troubles.' thought Robin as she looked from her window the sun rise as it shines over the fields of different colors of fruits and vegetables that are being grown. She feels happy with this kind of life and hopes that this peace would continue for a long time.

After freshening up, she walks towards the fields as she harvests today's fresh produce and goes to the market as she would be selling these in the market. When she got to the market, she just went to her usual spot to sell her products and was having her usual day.

She just finished up with her sales today and was just about finished in packing up when she heard a voice that startled her as she didn't notice anyone near her "You sure are a hard woman to find Nico Robin, but I guess that's one of the things that makes you special."

<3rd POV>

"You sure are a hard woman to find Nico Robin, but I guess that's one of the things that makes you special." Alex said as he finally found Nico Robin doing simple work such as farming.

Nico Robin was startled as she did not notice the boy in front of her until he spoke to her which makes him dangerous. Realizing this, she gives up any hope of escaping and just accepts her fate as she says "Just kill me. I don't even want to live anymore."

But she didn't expect Alex's answer to be "Wait you misunderstood me as I am quite fond of you Nico Robin, the Devil Child. I want you to join my crew. Truth be told I've been preparing 9 years to ask you to join my crew since I saw the Ohara Incident. I don't know what it's like to be an orphan at an early age, but I know what it feels to be alone and I don't want anyone to feel that anymore. So I made it my dream to be the Pirate King and destroy Mary Geoise and the World Nobles so that no more families would be separated anymore. So Nico Robin, would you like to join my crew? I promise you once you join, you would be part of my family and once you're part of my family, I would do anything to protect you from anything. Even if I have to risk my life to protect you I would. So I will ask you again. Nico Robin, do you want to join my crew?"

Nico Robin while listening to his speech, was going through a rollercoaster of emotions as she was on the verge of tears, she says weakly "Please take care of me from now on... Captain."

Alex seeing the girl cry and didn't know what to do, just hugged her and let her cry out to ease her burdens as 9 years of running away and being alone are being poured out on his chest.

After crying for almost ten minutes, Nico Robin finally calms down as she composes herself and packs her stuff and prepares to leave with Alex to join his crew and start her new adventure with her new family.
