Ch 2 Meeting the Creator

The screen goes white, and then it switches to a man in a green lab coat, he looked old with gray hair but he looked exuberant and fulfilled.

"Welcome to the One Piece Online trailer, I didn't show much but that's by design" he laughed and continued "It's the first full dive VR I don't have to reveal much and you'd still buy it"

"I'm Rio Dawn and it has been my dream to play a VR game so when it didn't exist I decided to make it"

"Since the game is still vague I'll still explain some of the games features, to start I don't know what the story of the game is like either, the story and world are completely created and controlled by Gaia the artificial intelligence I created"

"I just told Gaia that I wanted a pirate adventure MMORPG and then after 2 years One Piece Online was created, this also means its brand new world to be explored and understood for the first time"

Except for me, I thought I know exactly what the world is like. Using my knowledge of the game I could become the strongest player in the game and maybe become the pirate king myself.

"You will start in one of 4 starting locations North blue, South blue, West blue, and East blue that each have their own mysteries and adventures, it will be hard for players in different starting locations to meet up" Rio stated. He is talking about the 4 blues meaning I can't start in the Grand Line

"You don't have to be a pirate you can in fact do whatever you want in this game as there are no classes and no restrictions for learning skills meaning you can create your own playstyle" Rio finished

"Woah no classes but I wanted to be a wizard" shouted Bart.

Almost as a response, Rio continued "There is no magic or wizards in this game sorry to disappoint anyone, however, there is a way to gain unique powers on the seas. Though be careful if you die you will lose the power"

"It will be hard to differentiate yourselves from the masses in this game as the main fighting methods are fists, swords, or guns but I am sure you will get there in the end as the game has 2 to 1 time dilation meaning for every hour you spend plugged in 2 hours pass in the game" Rio said stunning me and probably everyone who heard it.

"People always say games are a waste of time but now my game will double your time and even more so you can play this game as you sleep and feel fully rested when you wake up" he exclaimed as he spread his arms with glee on his face.

"But that's enough explaining I'm sure most of you are as excited to play this game as I am to watch, Rio Dawn signing off" then the screen went black and the video ends.

"This game looks awesome" Bart screamed.

"Hate to agree with Bart but this looks so good I'm gonna have to call in sick on release hope my boss doesn't figure me out" chimed in Charlie.

"Luckily we already pre-ordered the game together" said Bart

"Wait we did?" I asked not remembering anything related to this game.

"Ya, we didn't know anything about the game other than it was a VRMMORPG so we pre-ordered it" Charlie told me.

"Oh ya I remember now" I didn't really "Anyway we have to play together as pirates ill be the captain" I told them.

"No way you must have hit your head harder than we thought because I'm the famous streamer so ill be the captain" Bart exclaimed louder than usual.

"Your both wrong as the most mature and most experienced it's obvious that ill be the captain" Charlie explained.

"Da fuck you talking about experienced you work in an office building, are you doing much pirating between the floors" I yelled back at him.

"I have lots of free time which I spend playing strategy games and watching history videos so I could lead a pirate crew just fine thank you very much" charlie explained while I rolled my eyes.

"Okay, guys what if when we start the game we split up for a bit and get strong then after say 1-month irl we meet up again and the strongest gets to be a captain" I put forward hoping to easily solve the matter, with my knowledge I can beat them easily.

"Fine" "Sounds good" they both responded to me.

"Anyway, guys I got to go and check out my head talk to you later" I stated, I need some time to think things through myself.

They told me their goodbyes and Bart did a cringe outro. Before he left charlie reminded us to be ready for the game's release in 1 week. I can't wait.

Second chapter more set up for friends and game

I realized recently that One piece is a series about friendship and comradery so I'm going to have to step up my character game

Like I said the first half of vol 1 is gonna be mostly solo adventure but after mc will make a crew and there will be more interactions
