In truth, there was no need to ask, as anyone with eyes could see that Byakuya had not just mastered Moon Step but had surpassed expectations. 

However, Zephyr still couldn't believe what he was seeing.

Just five minutes earlier, he had been reassuring Byakuya not to be discouraged and had used himself and Garp as examples to encourage Byakuya. 

He mentioned that they had taken a month to grasp the basics of Moon Step. 

But Byakuya immediately turned around and fully mastered Moon Step, using it easily.

Zephyr saw potential in Byakuya and began to consider him as a disciple. 

Zephyr had already taught the three Admirals, proving his teaching abilities matched his strength. 

However, all three Admirals were Logia-type Devil Fruit users, with top-tier abilities. 

This led some to question Zephyr's role, as they believed these Admirals would have become great without his guidance.

Moreover, Zephyr regretted not training a student who relied solely on physical strength. 

Byakuya seemed the perfect choice to fill this regret and continue Zephyr's legacy.

Zephyr openly expressed his praise, saying, "I never expected you to have such talent. I want to be your teacher and pass on everything I've learned in my life. What do you think?"

Zephyr's offer caught Byakuya off guard. 

Although Zephyr had been teaching Byakuya as an instructor, their relationship was merely that of teacher and student. 

In three years, when Byakuya graduated, their relationship would naturally fade. However, becoming Zephyr's disciple would solidify their bond.

Byakuya knew he would carry Zephyr's mark if he accepted the offer, and any wrongdoing could tarnish Zephyr's reputation. 

Nevertheless, Byakuya decided to accept Zephyr's offer. 

He had long admired Zephyr, thinking someone like him shouldn't have met such a tragic end in the anime.

Byakuya made up his mind. 'Since you are willing to teach me wholeheartedly, I will do my best to prevent that incident from happening.'

"Then... if I acknowledge you as my teacher, can you waive the 70 million beri debt?" 

Zephyr laughed, "That's impossible; rules are rules." 

"Tsk, you are such a stingy teacher."

"Hahaha, you're no better yourself!" They exchanged a knowing look, and both felt a warm sense of camaraderie.

Byakuya didn't expect to receive a double blessing and felt even more elated.

Byakuya could finally appreciate the advantages of being Zephyr's disciple. 

Although his fusion level didn't progress, his physical capabilities saw an improvement. 

Yet, Byakuya felt confident that he could defeat his former self with the skills and experience he had gained.

Zephyr was very pleased with Byakuya's progress over the month, even publicly declaring, 

"My disciple Byakuya has the potential to become a Marine Admiral!" 

He repeatedly thanked Garp for sending Byakuya to the elite training camp, making Garp feel annoyed about it for days. 

As a result, Garp asked Sengoku to leave again, saying he needed to go home to educate his grandson, Luffy, to strive to become a Marine Admiral. 

As for his methods? Well, they were bound to be quite harsh, likely leaving Luffy with a head full of bumps for the foreseeable future.

The surrounding trees fell like harvested wheat under the intense battle. Wild animals fled the forest in a frenzy as if something was terrifying within. 

A youthful voice echoed from deep within the forest, "Zephyr-sensei, your punches aren't as strong as they were a month ago." 

"That's because your body has gotten thicker and more resilient to hits."

Byakuya and Zephyr stood hundreds of meters apart, yet in the next moment, they were right in front of each other, launching powerful punches. 

"Boom!" An invisible shockwave spread from their fists, lifting the fallen trees in its wake and lowering the island's ground level by a meter.

The island's animals were on the verge of tears. If only they could build boats, they'd take off. 

Ever since these two monsters arrived on the island a month ago, the island's landscape changed dramatically with their battles. 

The lush forest was shaved down, and the island's area shrunk by one-tenth.

At this rate, the island would be swallowed by the sea before long. 

This was Zephyr's chosen method to teach Byakuya how to harness his Haki more effectively. Nothing accelerates improvement like real combat.
