Naruto's eyes widened as he felt an irresistible force yanking his body, leaving him helpless.

It was as if he'd lost all control over his movements, being helplessly drawn forward.

In the blink of an eye, he soared through the air finding himself sandwiched between the two Pain.

Preta Path's hands clamped around Naruto's armpits, locking tightly at the nape of his neck.

While Naruto was immobilized, Deva Path spoke with an eerie calmness, sealing his fate.

"This is it," he declared.

At this moment, Toad Sage Fukasaku and Shima weren't that far away, engaging in a mystical ritual.

"Go on!" Fukasaku encouraged with a determined tone.

Shima's voice resonated, filled with concern and hope.

Deva Path fixated his gaze on the resolute figure of Naruto before him, his expression replete with disdain.

"Don't fret; worry, I won't kill you. You're too valuable, being the Jinchūriki. of nine tails"

Naruto, undaunted, retorted swiftly.

Deva Path, in his overconfidence, couldn't resist mocking Naruto.

Preta Path immediately increased his strength on the hold as he observed Naruto's power growing.

As he tightened his grip, attempting to increase his hold on Naruto.

Naruto sensed a change in the situation and then realization hit him like a bolt of lightning.

"So, that's it. Since I can't move right now, there's one thing I can still do..."

His biggest challenge lately had been gathering the Sage chakra that could only be gained while standing perfectly still.

So now, immobilized as he was, an idea sparked in his mind and his mind raced with different possibilities.

With unwavering determination, Naruto focused his efforts, channeling Sage chakra, gathering it around his body.

This caused a visible damage on Preta Path's skin, his began to ripple and shift as though disturbed by the influx of energy.

Just as Naruto was about to make his move, he opened his eyes.

"Manipulating this natural energy is no walk in the park, it's quite challenging!" he muttered to himself.

His words had barely left his mouth when Preta Path, who had been holdiing him from behind, swelled up instantly, undergoing a rapid transformation.

His limbs, body, and face all transformed into a toad-like appearance, and his entire body turned a haunting gray...black, rendering him immobile.

Observing this strange turn of events, Toad Sage Fukasaku couldn't hide his excitement.

His eyes brightened as he observed the spectacle.

"It appears that this Pain absorbed an excessive amount of Sage chakra from young Naruto, resulting in his petrification."

Deva Path watched this development, his expression turning cold.

"Seems that dabbling with Sage chakra carries more risks than expected. I didn't anticipate you possessing such remarkable combat intelligence at your age, in fact it's quite surprising."

Naruto shrugged off the compliment, gasping for breath as he freed himself from the petrified Preta Path.

"It wasn't really easy." Naruto responded, panting heavily.

"But now, there's no need for resting. You're the only one left now!"

Deva Path remained stoic, issuing a soft, derisive snort, as he retorted.

"That might not be entirely accurate."

Curious, Naruto questioned, "What do you mean?"

Before Deva Path could answer, the small Katsuyu perched on Naruto's shoulder chimed in.

"These Pains are mere puppets. Behind them, there appears to be a mastermind pulling the strings and controlling them.

This is why Lord Carnes mentioned that defeating Pain might prove challenging, despite the damage we've inflicted."
