Future Luffy POV

I'm going to die. That's how I felt when the person who called himself an Angel touched me and pushed me off the cliff.

I felt no hatred or anger toward him. Even if what the angel said was just a lie, there was still no hatred for him. There was only gratitude for her.

Therefore, I strengthened my resolve to release the restraints on my body in order to say thank you to her and I finally managed to release a bit of the restraints.

And that was enough, although I couldn't say it perfectly but I managed to say thank you to her.

After that I felt my entire vision darken and when I opened my eyes again, I was in a place that as far as the eye could see showed only white.

Then I changed my position from sleeping to sitting. And I looked at someone not far in front of me with surprise and even disbelief.

As well as that person looking at me, that person also had the same surprised expression as me. But unlike me who had disbelief, that person had curiosity visible in his eyes.

The reason why I was surprised and disbelieving was because I was very familiar with the person in front of me. because that person was my younger self.

While I was still in a state of shock, I heard a shout from my younger self

'Hey who are you?!

'Why do you look exactly like me?!' Young Luffy shouted while pointing at me.

Ah that tone of speaking, when was the last time I spoke like that huh, What a nostalgia. I thought and unconsciously a smile appeared on my face

'Hey why are you smiling all of a sudden?!' Young Luffy said

'And also answer my question! He continued

'Guess what' Luffy said in a slightly heavy tone.

'Eeh, then wait a minute' Young Luffy replied and then put his index finger on his forehead and began to think hard

Seeing young Luffy like that, I couldn't help but think back to when I was young. I used to be a person who really didn't like to think about things and was also frivolous, but that has slowly changed. Especially after marrying Vivi who is a queen.

In order to maintain Vivi's good name, I started learning to be more polite and started thinking more often. But that's all I do when I meet other people, when I'm with my friends and family I'll always be the reckless and thoughtless Luffy.

After about five minutes of thinking, young Luffy suddenly shouted loudly

Ignoring young Luffy's anger, I just continued to laugh loudly.

'Damn it, stop laughing!' Luffy shouted angrily

'If not I'll hit you!' Continued

'Hahahaha'

But all young Luffy could reply was my laughter

'Damn!' then young Luffy slightly raised his arm and aimed his fist at me

'Gomu-gomu no, Pistol!' Young Luffy shouted

Then his arm stretched and headed towards me with a fairly fast movement according to young Luffy.

Even though I was laughing, it wouldn't make the Kenbunshoku Haki that I had been using from the moment I woke up lose its focus.

You see, I have long passed the level where showing emotion will make the use of Kenbunshoku Haki lose focus. So all of young Luffy's screams and movements, it had been heard and seen by me.

I then easily dodged the fist of young Luffy who was moving very slowly in my eyes

'Hahaha, really. Why did I expect for a moment that he would guess my identity' I said

'Then how about this, Gomu-gomu no, Muchi!' Shouted the young Luffy who then stretched his legs and tried to kick me.

But this time I decided not to dodge and caught his leg

'Eeh?' Young Luffy exclaimed as his leg was easily held by me.

Then I pulled young Luffy's leg and spun him around in the air and then young Luffy's screams started to be heard. After a while I finally let go, young Luffy who had been spinning in the air for a while vomited immediately, right after I let go.

'HUEAK'

After vomiting a few times, young Luffy then looked at me and shouted angrily

'Damn it, it's not over just yet!' Then young Luffy slightly raised his arms and said

'Gomu-gomu no, Gatling-gun!'

Young Luffy then started punching with both hands towards me. Because the punches made by young Luffy were very fast, it caused the illusion that young Luffy's fists were numerous.

'Galting-gun huh' I muttered while still standing in place, then I started dodging the seemingly numerous fists with ease.

While dodging young Luffy's fists, I thought back. When was the last time I used this technique. Because ever since I was able to use Bushoshoku Haki, I have rarely used this technique.

Especially since entering the New World, most of my enemies have high level Kenbunshoku Haki. So using this technique would just be a waste of effort.

The young Luffy who saw that a person similar to him could easily avoid his strongest technique like dancing, started to get more and more annoyed.

I then flicked my Bushoku Haki-coated finger at young Luffy's forehead with a little force. But it turned out that I miscalculated, the little power I imagined turned out to be strong enough for young Luffy.

Then young Luffy was thrown violently backwards and rolled several times before finally stopping

"It hurts! Young Luffy shouted loudly while holding his forehead

Looking at the young Luffy who was screaming in pain, I paused slightly and muttered 'Is it me who has become too strong, or is it me as a young man who is too weak'

Finally after an unknown amount of time, young Luffy stood back up and looked at me hatefully

'Have you calmed down?' I asked.

'Hey you, why does your finger flick hurt so much!?'

'I'm a rubber man after all!'

'Doesn't Grandpa's punch hurt too?' I said.

'Grandpa said his punches were love, that's why they hurt so much' Young Luffy answered.

[Love yes, Nami used to hit me back then too and it hurt me quite a lot. Maybe there's some truth to that] I thought and unconsciously chuckled.

'Hehe'

'Why are you laughing again!?' Young Luffy said with dissatisfaction

'Uh wait, earlier you said grandfather right?' he continued

'Hm? Yes. Why?" I asked.

'I already know who you are! Young Luffy said while pointing at me

'Then who am I?" I asked.

'Because you look so much like me, and also mention grandfather. So you are...'

'My brother!' Young Luffy said

'No, you're still wrong' I replied

'I'm Monkey D Luffy, I'm you from the future' I said.

'Oh I see, a miracle huh' said the young Luffy and easily accepted it.

'Of course' I replied

'Ooh so then, have you managed to defeat Ace?'

'Ace yes, I haven't had the chance to defeat him yet' I said.

'Why, has that Ace over there become so strong?

'I'll explain it to you later. Instead of that, aren't you curious about whether or not our dream has come true?" I asked.

'No, I'm sure you've managed to realize it. After all, you are me' Young Luffy replied with a smile.

Hearing his answer, I smiled too and said

'Then listen, I'll tell you about my adventurous story to realize our dream'

'Hey, are you listening to me? I don't want to hear it.' Young Luffy said

'No, you'll hear it' I said and then used Haoshoku Haki to paralyze his movements.

After that, I told about my adventure to young Luffy who was forced to listen. I originally intended to tell him everything at once, but in the middle of the story I realized something strange about this place.

I'm sure I've been telling the story to young Luffy for several hours. And based on my own experience, young Luffy would have started complaining of hunger by now. But strangely, young Luffy showed no signs of that and eagerly listened to my story?.

The moment I realized that, I stopped telling the story to young Luffy. And went a little distance away after explaining a few things that young Luffy could understand.

Once I was sure I was far enough away, I then used my full power to try a few things. Like using Haki to the fullest, or using the power of the sun god Nika who is now called the sun god Luffy and other powers.

And my goal was to check if I would become exhausted and starve. But after a while, which I'm sure had passed several hours, I didn't feel tired at all nor did I have any hunger pangs.

After being quite sure, I then returned to the place where young Luffy was waiting. And I saw that young Luffy was fast asleep.

This made me even more confused, this place won't make you feel tired or hungry. But you can fall asleep in this place even though you don't feel tired, yes this is quite strange.

Without thinking too much, I also tried to sleep and then without realizing my eyes became heavy and I seemed to fall asleep immediately.

I, who was still half asleep, faintly heard the voice of young Luffy shouting his technique. I forced myself to wake up and saw that young Luffy was practicing not far away. I then got up from my sleeping position on the ground and became sitting on the ground.

Young Luffy who saw that I was awake, then stopped practicing and walked towards me

'I'm from the future, you're finally awake' he said.

I nodded and then asked 'How long have I been asleep?'

'Don't know, I also just woke up not long ago' He replied

'Hey, what were you doing before?'

'I saw it from here, there seemed to be a very, very big hand appearing from the direction where you went' Young Luffy said

'Ah that?

'That's one of my techniques' I replied

'Wow, how do you do it?' asked young Luffy in surprise

'You want to know?' I asked.

'Then listen to my story again' I said with a laugh and used Haoshoku Haki to stop young Luffy's movement.

It is unknown how much time passed in this all-white place, because you can't count it.

Originally, before coming to this place the aura emitted by my body should have looked gloomy and lonely. But after spending time with young Luffy, that aura slowly disappeared.

When the gloomy and lonely aura on my body had completely disappeared, I again felt like I did when I was young who was always cheerful, optimistic and unyielding.

But with the disappearance of that aura, my body seemed to slowly begin to dissipate. It wasn't just me, young Luffy's body looked just like mine as it slowly began to disappear.

At first, I didn't understand why this was happening. But after thinking about the day when that angel came to me and arbitrarily granted my wishes. I can somewhat guess why this is happening.

'Are you afraid?' I asked the young Luffy.

'No' He answered with a smile

'But you're going to disappear?' I asked again.

'Yes, but I'm still not afraid' He answered again

'As expected of you' I said again with a smile

'Hey, let's do this before it disappears' I said as I pointed my fist at young Luffy.

Young Luffy then followed my movement and pointed his fist at me. Then I moved my fist at young Luffy, and then our fists clashed.

'Shishishi, I'm glad to have met you' I said with a laugh.

'Shishishi, me too' Young Luffy replied while laughing as well.

Then, the bodies of future Luffy and young Luffy slowly disappeared. But not long after that, another person appeared in the all-white room.

The man was of course Luffy, but unlike the previous two Luffy. This Luffy looked taller than past Luffy, but not as tall as future Luffy.

This Luffy was about 1.72 meters tall and had a childish, immature face like the young Luffy. This Luffy also didn't have any noticeable scars on his chest and looked a little muscular.

'Looks like my guess was right, this white space is the place to unite me from the future and me from the past.'

'But the me from the future has a gloomy aura and readiness unlike the me from the past. Who has a cheerful nature, never gives up and is always optimistic. That's why bringing the two of us together takes a bit of time.'

'Then as the gloomy and lonely aura belonging to my future self disappeared, the me from the future and the me from the past began to slowly disappear. Or rather began to merge, and when the two had merged completely, I appeared'

'From now on, there is no more Luffy from the future or Luffy from the past.'
