Chapter 7 I'm a Pirate

"Helmeppo will execute you in three days, Zoro," said Luffy while looking at Zoro. "And if you don't believe me, Coby is here to testify."

Coby just nodded in fear when Zoro looked at him.

"Damn, I knew it." Zoro muttered under his breath.

"I will free you and then I will take your sword. Is that okay Zoro?" Luffy asked. Zoro just nodded.

"I don't care about the rest, but make sure you take the white sword. It is my treasure." Zoro said. Luffy nodded with a smile and cut the rope that bound him to his Meitou.

"Coby, Zoro, wait here. I'll be right back." he says. "Gomu Gomu no Rocket!"

Zoro stared in disbelief as Luffy extended his arms and launched himself to the top of the marine base.

On the roof of the marine base, many Marines are pulling up a statue of Captain Morgan. Helmeppo suddenly barged in and tried to convince his father to kill Luffy. As before, the man punched his son and refused to help him.

"Tsk, tsk, tsk, what a bad father." someone spoke. They looked up and Helmeppo was frightened to see the familiar looking Straw Hat.

"Dad, that's the one who hit me!" Helmeppo shouted and pointed at him. Luffy jumps down.

"You know what I'm going to do with this ugly statue?" Luffy asked, clenching his fist.

"What are you talking about, you stupid kid?!" shouted Morgan angrily. Luffy grinned like a bad boy and punched the statue. What surprised the marines, it wasn't the fist that was crushed, but the statue. Shattered into thousands of pieces. The marines' mouths gaped wide as Luffy ran away laughing loudly at them.

"CATCH HIM! KILL HIM!" shouted Morgan angrily.

The Marines above saluted Morgan and immediately ran after the boy. Luffy finds Helmeppo's room (without help this time) and takes Zoro's sword, while disgusted to see the girl-like decoration of the room.

At the same time, an orange-haired person was searching for something in the marine base, pleased with the current commotion.

When Luffy looked out the window, he saw his two friends who looked panicked surrounded by marines. He let out a frustrated sigh and jumped out of the window, much to everyone's surprise as he took all the bullets with his body.

"Yes, I ate a devil fruit. It's called Gomu Gomu no Mi and I'm a contortionist!" he shouted in annoyance when he saw the shocked expressions of the marines. "Now you all better run back to your base, before I kick your asses."

All the marines there flinched at the threat, but Luffy's words made Morgan angrier, instead of choosing to retreat gracefully. Luffy handed the sword over to Zoro, then he took out his own sword. Luffy stepped forward and simultaneously the marines stepped back. Zoro was impressed with the man's aura. He hadn't even done anything and the heavily armed marines were scared to death.

"Are you scared of this little brat, trashed!?" Morgan shouted at his subordinates, who were even more scared now. "Anyone who's scared, shoot yourself now! THAT'S AN ORDER!"

The Marines reluctantly obeyed his orders, thinking if they didn't they would still die anyway. Luffy slapped his face and Zoro chuckled at his reaction. He then used his devil fruit powers to whip them before they could do anything.

Morgan is furious now and stupidly tries to attack Luffy. When the Luffy saw morgan attack, he chuckled. Morgan tried to cut Luffy in half with his axe, but he was stopped by Luffy's sword.

"Armament: Hardening." muttered Luffy and his hands turned shiny black.

"What the hell is that?!" shouted Zoro.

Luffy ignored him and punched Morgan hard, then Morgan's body flew straight into the marine base building, crashing into it and vomiting blood.

"Luffy." Zoro opened the conversation. "I know I promised to follow you, but don't interrupt my dream. If you do, you must apologize at the tip of my sword."

"I know Zoro!" Luffy grinned widely. "You don't have to worry about that! Your fight is your own."

Then he turned towards the marines. He grabs Coby and Helmeppo (who tries to shoot him, but to no avail).

"Hey everyone!" he shouted at the marines, who were shocked to hear Luffy. "Who is in second command?"

An ordinary-looking marine stepped forward, slightly pale. "I am commander Ripper."

"Commander, can you send these two children to my grandfather, Monkey D Garp? Plus this message?" he asked, handing over a letter, receiving amazed looks from everyone.

"Luffy, your grandfather was Garp the Fist?" asked Zoro, completely surprised now.

"Is that true?" asked the Ripper. Luffy nodded.

"I'm Monkey D Luffy, a pirate. My grandfather wanted me to become a marine, but I didn't want to, so I sent the two of them instead."

"Do you want to be a marine?" he asked both of them. Coby nodded enthusiastically, while Helmeppo just shrugged, but then nodded. "Fine. *haaaah* I'll see what I can do." said the Ripper commander.

He looked at the two pirates in front of him.

"You can stay here one day. After that I have to ask you to leave, because you are pirates." he says. Luffy nodded. "I suggest you use this time to say goodbye to your little friend here."

Coby, Zoro, and Luffy nodded and left the marine base and headed for the bar. The marine commander sighed and looked at the message written on the letter. He couldn't hold back his smile.

Hey grandpa!

Sorry, but I'm already a pirate so I'm sending you these two guys instead, Coby (pink haired nerd) and Helm-something (blonde onion-headed jerk)! They're really weak but I'm sure you can make them into something (Coby in particular has potential, he could be a good admiral one day or something important if you train them right)
