Chapter 8 (Edited)

When I was back to the ship, I saw a flare lit in the sky. This was an emergency signal.

After seeing it, I hurriedly flew toward my ship. When I got there, I saw another boat heading in my direction. It was a pirate ship with a jolly roger containing a heart sign on the skull.

"Boss, it's no good. We've got some enemies. A pirate ship is sailing towards our ship." Tom looked relieved at my arrival and started reporting the situation.

"Boss, that jolly roger looks familiar. Ah, I remember, It's from the Alvida Pirates. I heard that iron-mace Alvida is a strong and cruel woman." Jerry informed me about our intruders.

'Alvida Pirates huh! I didn't expect to meet her here.' I thought to myself, remembering her information.

Alvida was the first villain Luffy encountered on his journey. She was a fat, selfish, and narcissistic bitch. I also remember her having a short pink-haired onboard. If I remember correctly, he has some navigation skill which is very useful to me.

While I was thinking, the pirate ship gradually approached my ship. The pirates didn't fire the canons, though. I'm sure they think we're weak.

I also saw the pirates on the ship. There were dozens of men headed by a fat woman carrying a heavy iron mace. She looked in my direction with a wide grin on her face. I didn't find any pink-haired crew on the deck. Maybe he's hiding inside the ship, or perhaps he didn't get kidnapped by Alvida pirates yet.

"Who would've thought we'll find a merchant ship in such a remote corner. I'm so beautiful that even the luck blesses me. Boys, get ready to board. Rob all their stuff. Hahah!" Alvida ordered her crew, swinging the heavy iron mace. All of the pirates looked in my direction in excitement.

Curiously, I tried using my observation skills on Alvida.

My stats overwhelm hers by a bit. The other crews had their stats below 5 which poses no risk to me.

Still, they have the number's advantage. I'll have to be careful not to get myself overwhelmed by their numbers.

"Tom and Jerry get ready for battle. I'll handle their captains and you two help me keep the others occupied." I ordered my two brainwashed crewmates and waited for the battle to start.

The pirates landed on my ship and grinned in our direction. Without giving them a chance to react, I fly towards them. Tom and Jerry ran behind me to perform their task.

"C-Captain Alvida! That guy can fly." Some of the crew were surprised to see my flying ability. None of these crew members knew about devil fruits.

I took the chance of their stupor and knocked two guys off their feet. Tom and Jerry also took advantage of their daze to bring some down.

Alvida was quick to recover her calm and looked in my direction angrily.

"Idiots! Get out of your daze. He can fly, so what? I guess he ate the rumored devil fruit. We outnumber him. Now, get your ass off and start fighting." Alvida ordered her men, which brought them out of their daze, and looked at our direction seriously.

Soon, two pirates tried to punch me, which I easily avoided, and countered my elbow strike on their stomach, knocking them out. I'm too stronger for these average crew members.

"Hya! Take this!" Suddenly I dangerously stepped aside to avoid the iron mace narrowly. Alvida launched a surprise attack on me while I was busy attacking her crew. We already took 6 people down. Now there's only some crew left on her team.

"Tch! Boys get him. We still have the numbers advantage." Alvida ordered her crew again, making the remaining few mobs attack me. I managed to dodge all their attacks while evading Alvida's strike as well. Tom and Jerry were quick to distract their attention, giving me the chance to fight Alvida one-on-one.

She looked ready for another fight as she struck in my direction with another swing of her mace.

"That was quite the greetings for me." I carefully dodged her attacks while flying around her. She wasn't too strong of an opponent to me, so I wanted to hone my hand-to-hand abilities in this battle.

"That wasn't a greeting, punk! Stop flying around and let me hit your handsome face. I'll smash anyone beautiful than me whether it's a man or a woman." Alvida cursed me while attacking me with mace again. I dodged her attacks and landed a kick on her stomach, making her grunt in pain.

"You Shit! I'll make you pay for that." She got up on her feet again while resuming her attacks. I continue dodging her attacks while returning some attacks here and there.

While I was busy fighting Alvida, I forgot about Tom and Jerry. Their situation was terrible and quickly got worse when one of Alvida's crew stabbed Tom in the chest. Jerry tried to recover from the situation, but another pirate managed to hit him on the head.

"Shit!" Seeing their situation, I used my devil fruit ability to knock Alvida off of me and flew towards their location. It was too late when I arrived. Tom and Jerry were both dead.

I'm sad about their deaths. So, I quickly killed their opponents. By the time I finished killing them off, Alvida was back.

"You killed my crew. I'll smash your head off the body, you jackass!" Alvida looked pissed watching me kill her crew. She swung her mace in my direction angrily.

"I should say the same to you. I'll smash that ugly face of yours in revenge." I said while dodging her attack. Then, I gave her a hard punch on the face knocking her out while using my devil fruit ability to throw her out of the ship. She flew into the sky, gradually disappearing from my vision.

"It's up to your luck whether you survive or not. I hope I don't see your fat face in the future. It's disgusting!" I muttered to myself after cleaning the scene. I threw the corpses out in the ocean.

Tom and Jerry's death were unfortunate, but I'll get over it soon. I tied the remaining pirates back into the ship, not forgetting to brainwash them. This fight made me realize numbers have some advantages. Being strong alone is not enough for the future.

When I went inside the ship, I found a pink-haired boy cowering in the corner.

"Hey kid, are you part of the Alvida pirates too?" I asked him for an introduction.

"N-No Sir, I'm not part of their pirates. I was kidnapped by Alvida while fishing. She kept me on her ship because of my ability. I have some navigational skills." The kid hurriedly explained to me. He looked flustered while saying so.

"So, what's your name, kid? Unlucky for you to get kidnapped by the pirates, huh?"

"My name is Coby sir. I'm indeed unfortunate to encounter them. But luckily you defeated them. Now I don't know what to do."

I'm relieved to hear his answer. I guess I have a temporary navigator onboard.

"So how about you stay on my ship temporarily? I'm lacking a navigator, and you'll do the job fine. I'll set you free once I find someone to replace you."

"T-Thank you, sir. That's perfectly fine with me." Coby agreed to my terms, which relieved me. I also asked Coby to show me where Aliva kept her treasures and kept them in my inventory. It was not a lot but good addition to my wealth.

Then, I let Coby handle all the tied-up pirates. I didn't tell him about my abilities since I didn't trust him enough. I think I'll only say to my crewmates about the brainwashing abilities. I'll keep it as a trump card just in case.

Then, I went inside the cabin to rest for a while. We'll leave this island tomorrow.
