Time started passing

Marineford was quickly cleaned up and ships were sailing back and forth every day, moving all the valuables to the G-1 Base in the New World.

The G-1 base would become the new Marineford and the old Marineford would become the new G-1… but it wouldn't be like the other bases.

Galan hired countless construction crews to remodel G-1 base. He even had to go there himself and demolish the buildings on it.

The old Marineford would become a memorial Island as well as the G-1 base. There was to be a giant steele in the middle of the island with the names of each and every single Marines that laid down their lives during the war.

Galan's words in the Newspaper shook the world, countless hot blooded youngsters applied for the Marines every day, infected by Galan's passionate speech!

As Galan said, he didn't want them to choose this life, it was a thankless job! He mostly said this because he really did mean it, but there were some other reasons as well. Firstly, he didn't want selfish pricks joining the Marines and turning it into the corrupt mess it was before!

If that was the case, what was the point of the War? Not to mention, the sacrifice Whitebeard made… Galan wasn't going to let Newgate's sacrifice go in vain! He would use it as best as he could, milking it's entire worth!

Secondly, this was a classic trick to garner sympathy and inspire people. The more you said that something wasn't good, the more people would be curious to try it. It was just simple psychology, humans are inherently curious beings. When told something is hard or impossible, most will try it!

Simply to prove that they could do it!

As a result there were many new recruits coming in each day!

Galan wasn't going to let them leave… Once they stepped on Marineford, their fate was sealed. They lived and died a Marine!

While training Koby and Helmeppo with Garp, Galan also collected all the recruits and started a Marine-wide training regiment led by Galan himself!

He made another speech about how he wouldn't let them die, how each of them was very precious, and how they had a goal bigger than themselves!

Galan drilled them all, every new recruit that came in joined the group as the old Marines were working on rebuilding.

Everything was shaping up very nicely, Galan even found out where each of the Straw Hats was sent to. He sent very specific instructors to each of them using his connections.

Vegapunk 'happened to be visiting' his old home Baltimore.

Galan's best sniper happened to land on Bowin Island.

The world's leading expert on sailing happened to travel to Weatheria…

Galan also delegated a troop of Marines to catching the criminals that escaped Impel Down. They were to hunt them like animals!

He pulled Kuzan into SWORD and trained him with Koby and Helmeppo before deciding that Momousagi was to be trained as well!

For these two, he drilled them into oblivion. They were constantly in a state of life and death, being beaten every single day.

In addition to this, Galan needed to fill the Warlord group. There were three missing as Moria had disappeared and Jinbe was relieved of his status. As for Blackbeard, there was nothing to be said, he forfeited his title!

Galan planned it out very well, Buggy got a new bounty of a couple hundred million. Galan changed his name to Buggy D. Clown and made him a Warlord to spook the 5 Elders and mask his intentions.

Trafalgar D. Law was also made a Warlord, but the last one was a big mistake by the government…

They made Edward Weevil a Warlord!

Galan was so angry he nearly killed Momousagi and Kuzan. The reason for this was because Weevil had killed Zephyr's ship of recruits and cut off his arm! After that event, Zephyr went crazy, he had been like this for a while now… He got a mechanical arm and started hunting pirates all over the place!

This would only made him explode!

Galan wanted Zephyr to come to him so they could plan something out, but Zephyr never did! He turned on the Marines and established his own Marine force! The Neo Marines!

This gave Galan so many headaches it was unbelievable! He didn't understand why these Elders were so retarded, they didn't realize they were pushing a good man into the abyss?!

Galan quickly came to the conclusion that it was done on purpose. You should know, after Zephyr's arm was cut off years ago, he started training like a madman. Galan was pretty sure this guy was stronger than Old Whitebeard at this point.

Zephyr was a genius in all aspects, the madman Zephyr who trained day and night, fighting all day was a monster! However, Galan was sure that he was stronger than him… the only thing was, Galan hoped that Zephyr wouldn't go too far!

The most painful thing in the world was putting down former friends…

The time continued passing like this

A year after the war

Kuzan 'defected' from the Marines, leaving to live on his own with his own form of Justice.

Of course, this was Galan's order. The members of SWORD were wiped from the system and no longer recognized as Marines. This was so that they weren't under the laws and regulations of the World Government, they could attack an Emperor if they wanted to.

However, Kuzan's task was to infiltrate the Blackbeard pirates!

A good seedling, Smoker requested transfer to G-5 and Galan granted it to him, giving him a bundle of books and telling him to train hard. Smoker took them and left with a troop of Marines.

Momousagi was furious that Kuzan left and requested harsher training. Galan indulged her and beat her senseless every day until she was able to fight back in a way that satisfied Galan.

Koby and Helmeppo were getting stronger as well, but they were held back by the fact that they needed to learn Haki. Galan and Garp beat the duo with sticks without breaks until they learned it.

The training was very crude and simple, beat you until you learn to get stronger!

Even the recruits received this punishment!

Galan was rarely not busy, Olvia dealt with all the logistics for him as he trained all the Marines basically by himself.

Finally, they found the Blind Swordsman and he introduced himself as Issho. Galan tested him and then made him an Admiral.

Issho would never forget the day.

They went to a deserted island and Galan told him to use his strongest attack. Issho called down a Meteorite and Galan jumped up, punching the entire thing to dust before making him a new Admiral.

Issho was so stunned, he didn't believe his senses. How could someone punch a Meteorite that big to dust!?

Galan then dragged him to train with Momousagi.
