Suspicions

"It's a nice mansion. Shame I can't steal a building." Luffy muttered. He walked around the perimeter of the mansion and found Usopp leaning against a tree while talking about something with Kaya.

'I bet he has a crush on her. ' Luffy thought before using Soru to appear beside Usopp. Kaya and Usopp looked at Luffy with a shocked expression.

Luffy grinned at them. "Hello miss rich girl, I'm Monkey D Luffy. I have a request. " Luffy greeted Kaya. Kaya tilted her head.

" Hello, Mr Luffy. I'm Kaya, and what's this request of yours? " Kaya asked him, intrigued. Luffy stretched out his hands.

" We need a ship. I'm a pirate you see, and I heard that you have a ship. Can I have it? " Luffy asked her.

" Oi, Luffy. Did you just casually admit that you're a pirate? " Zoro asked while arriving beside him. Kaya looked at him and was surprised.

" You're Roronoa Zoro, ex Pirate Hunter right? So this must be your captain. I knew you looked familiar. " Kaya commented while looking at Luffy. She then looked at Usopp.

" Usopp, do you know them? " Kaya asked him. Usopp nodded and puffed his chest out proudly.

" Mhm! Luffy here heard of my reputation, and travelled far to see me here. They are the new members of the Usopp Pirates! " Usopp declared while smiling at Kaya who giggled.

" Well at least you got the travelling part right, Usopp. Anyways, can you perhaps think about my request? If you want me to pay for the ship I'll do it, even though you're already rich enough." Luffy mumbled. Kaya hummed.

" I'll let you think about it. Now Usopp, what's your answer? Will you join the Straw Hat Pirates or not?" Luffy asked him.

" You do know that it's only been about 30 minutes since he left the restaurant right?" Nami commented. Luffy grinned and scratched his head.

"As I said before, I will never abandon my 80 million men! There's also Ninjin, Piiman and Tamanegi. What about them? " Usopp replied.

"I dunno, figure it out yourself. It's your pirate group." Luffy grumbled. Usopp thought he did something by asking a hard question, but Luffy did not care. He just wanted Usopp to join his crew.

"What are you doing here?! You can't just barge into the mansion like this!"

Everyone looked at Klahadore who approached them.

"Listen, Klahadore. These people are...."

" You don't need to explain! I'll ask you about it later! Please, get out! Or do you have something to say? " Klahadore looked at Usopp and Luffy.

Luffy stepped away from the group and approached him. He stood in front of Klahadore and looked down at him.

Klahadore gulped a little. Luffy's abnormal height was extremely overbearing.

"Klahadore, is it? Ya know, You look kinda familiar. I think I've seen you somewhere before..." Luffy muttered while scratching his chin. He noticed Klahadore's hand and right eye twitched a little.

Luffy laughed evilly in his mind. Gyatsu taught him the art of subtle interrogation while Shanks and Yasopp taught him how to study someone's body language during their stay at Dawn Island.

"I assure you mister, this is the first time we met." Klahadore replied. Luffy detected a hint of nervousness in his voice.

" Oh, okay. Let's go guys, we can sneak back here later. Think about the offer, Kaya-san. We won't be leaving town until you give us an honest answer." Luffy grinned at her before starting to walk towards the exit with Zoro, Nami and Usopp following him.

"You... You're Usopp aren't you?" Klahadore pointed at Usopp who turned around to face him. Kaya watched nervously with sweat dripping down her face.

"I've heard some rumors about you. The villagers talk about you all the time." Klahadore told him while smirking a little.

" Oh, thank you. You may call me Captain Usopp, everyone calls me that!" Usopp pointed at himself while smirking proudly. Klahadore pushed up his glasses that slipped down his nose with his palm. Luffy noticed it, he thought it was strange that he didn't use his fingers to push it up.

"The guards said you were lurking outside the gates. What do you want here? " He asked Usopp.

" I heard that there's a mole inside the mansion!! So I wanted to see it for myself! " Usopp lied like a natural. Klahadore chuckled.

" Hahaha... I see that you lie certainly well! I have heard about your father too. " Klahadore pushed up his glasses that slipped down his nose again. Usopp narrowed his eyes.

"You're the son of a filthy pirate! I'm not surprised you turned out this way! But you had better stay away from my Ojou-sama! " Klahadore threatened him menacingly.

Luffy pulled out his flintlock and pointed it straight at Klahadore. Kaya gasped and covered her mouth, feeling horrified to the core.

"What did you say....." Usopp growled angrily.

"I'm proud that my dad was a pirate! I'm proud that he's a brave warrior of the seas!! Why?! Because he's a sniper of the Red Hair Pirates! You're right that I like to lie! I can't live without doing it once per day!"

" But I'm proud that I have a pirate's blood in me!! I don't have to pretend that I'm not!! I am the son of the Pirate!!!" Usopp shouted at Klahadore proudly. Luffy and Zoro smirked at Usopp.

"Guess you ain't just a liar after all." Zoro whispered. Klahadore snorted.

"Why are you so angry? You're not very smart are you? You should've just told your usual lies. " Klahadore looked at him with disgust in his eyes.

" Ever heard of Yasopp the Chaser, Klahadore? I think has has a bounty of over 800 million Belly now. That's Usopp's dad. " Luffy grinned at Klahadore who narrowed his eyes at him.

" He and Usopp are stronger and braver than you will ever be, Klahadore. You hide behind a mansion in all this luxury while we pirates fight to survive to get to the top every single day. So be quiet, do your job and hide behind your Ojou-sama. You don't want her to see the village burn to the ground right? " Luffy asked while putting his finger on the trigger while Zoro slowly unsheathed her katanas.

Klahadore became silent.

"Who are you?" He finally asked. Luffy grinned broadly.

"I'm Monkey D Luffy, Captain of the Straw Hat Pirates. And I'm gonna be the King Of The Pirates!!!"

Luffy shocked Usopp with his brave declaration. Usopp was in awe, he wondered if he could be like Luffy one day.

"King Of The Pirates? Don't make me laugh!" Klahadore shouted. He looked at everyone.

" Get out of there, filthy pirates! This is not a place for barbarians like you! Remember this, don't you dare come close to this house ever again!! " Klahadore declared.

" Yeah, I know. You don't need to tell me to get out. I won't come back to this house ever again!! " Usopp shouted and walked away.

" Usopp-san..." Kaya muttered. Luffy looked at Usopp then looked at Klahadore.

*BANG!!*

He appeared in front of Klahadore and socked him in the face. Klahadore shouted in pain and dropped down to the ground, clutching his bleeding face and mouth.

"You deserve it." Luffy muttered before he followed after Usopp.

At the coast, Usopp was sitting on the ground while staring at the blue sea. He always comes here whenever he gets stressed.

Luffy stood beside him. They stayed silent for a while, enjoying the view of the beautiful sea.

"Usopp. I'm gonna sound very crazy here but I think that Klahadore guy is hiding something from all of us including Kaya." Luffy revealed. Usopp looked at him. Luffy sat down beside him and took out a book. It was a book full of bounties.

He flipped the pages for a while before narrowing his eyes. He passed the book to Usopp.

"Tell me this doesn't look like him." Luffy muttered as Usopp read the contents of the page.

"No way!! Klahadore was a pirate?!"
