In the scene, people watched in shock as the image showed Nicholas effortlessly tearing apart Bullet's seemingly powerful robot.
Recalling Bullet's terrifying strength, viewers couldn't help but feel an indescribable sense of awe in that moment.
"What kind of power is this?! Isn't that guy a Rumble-Rumble Fruit user?"
"Could it be another Devil Fruit ability?"
"But according to the rules of the sea, a person can only eat one Devil Fruit in their lifetime. If they eat a second one, they'll explode and die. How could he have two Devil Fruit abilities?!"
"Then how do you explain what he just did to easily destroy Bullet's robot?"
"I want to know that too!"
Countless viewers were shocked as they stared at the live broadcast, seeing Nicholas standing like a god.
The rule that a person can only eat one Devil Fruit is common knowledge across the sea. But when Nicholas displayed a power seemingly unrelated to the Rumble-Rumble Fruit, people's understanding of reality was turned upside down. Many even started speculating that Nicholas possessed two abilities!
Out on the sea, still some distance from the Lodestar Island, the Moby Dick, the flagship of the Whitebeard Pirates, was anchored like a giant whale. Surrounding it were smaller pirate ships, acting as its escort.
On the deck of the Moby Dick, Whitebeard Pirates crew members, including Marco, along with the captains of allied pirate ships, were all displaying expressions of surprise and shock.
"Another Devil Fruit ability?! How is that possible?"
"A person can only eat one Devil Fruit in their life. No one has ever broken that rule!"
These seasoned warriors who had been fighting in the New World for years knew more about Devil Fruits than most. Seeing this scene, their hearts were filled with fear, eyes wide in disbelief.
"It's not impossible…"
Marco, squatting nearby, spoke with a serious expression.
"Huh? Marco, what did you say?"
The others turned their heads in shock toward Marco, unable to process his words.
Marco seemed lost in thought, then slowly said, "Besides being the first division captain, I'm also the ship's doctor. I keep backup records of everyone's health and medical checkups."
Hearing this, the others were even more puzzled. Weren't they discussing the possibility of Nicholas having eaten two Devil Fruits? Why was Marco bringing up the health records of the Whitebeard Pirates?
"Teach's body structure is abnormal. I just realized it; his body is completely different from normal people. It's possible that his body can accommodate two or even more Devil Fruits. That's why he's been hiding, waiting for that particular fruit to appear. According to the intelligence Dad mentioned years ago, that fruit can nullify and steal Devil Fruit powers. Teach's ambitions are huge."
Marco's serious tone indicated that he had pieced together many clues.
...
On Lodestar Island, Nicholas slowly retracted his clenched hand.
"Have you developed your abilities to this level?" Bullet quickly recovered from his initial shock and realized that Nicholas hadn't eaten a second Devil Fruit. The strange attack Nicholas used earlier was likely an advanced development of his Rumble-Rumble Fruit.
Just as some Paramecia users can develop extended abilities, Bullet hadn't expected the Rumble-Rumble Fruit to be capable of such bizarre attacks.
However, Nicholas wasn't about to explain his abilities. After all, one's powers are their trump cards. As long as the opponent doesn't fully understand them, they'll struggle to find weaknesses. Explaining one's abilities during battle is like handing the enemy a way to defeat you.
Seeing that Nicholas wasn't responding, Bullet wisely chose not to ask further. As Nicholas said, this was a war, and there's no way an enemy would reveal their secrets.
"Nicholas, how dare you treat me like this?!"
As the tension grew between the two, Charlotte Linlin's terrifying voice echoed from afar.
She rode on Zeus, the thundercloud, and her previously lost eyes were now replaced with eerie eyeballs with human-like faces, making her look even more menacing.
A fierce aura surrounded her, revealing her rage and pain. The Yonko was clearly enraged.
"How laughable," Nicholas said coldly. "I've already told you, this is war. If you choose to get involved, then be prepared to face death."
Linlin glared at Nicholas but remained silent, instead turning her attention to Bullet.
"Bullet, you must've noticed how troublesome this guy is by now. Let's team up."
Linlin extended an offer.
"Alright," Bullet agreed without hesitation. For him, Nicholas was right; in war, you use every means necessary to win.
"Then go ahead and try," Nicholas said calmly as purple lightning flickered across his arm and the blade of his sword.
"Good, let's crush that brat!" Linlin's eyes blazed with fury as she charged toward Nicholas, riding a gust of wind.
"Great Nation!"
With fists adorned with large rings, Linlin gathered black and red electricity and combined it with the thunder and fire hovering above her shoulders, unleashing a devastating attack at Nicholas.
Two massive shockwaves surged toward Nicholas, shaking the live broadcast screen.
Nicholas transformed into lightning to dodge the attack.
Almost instantly, another figure appeared beside Nicholas, raising a fist and striking down hard.
"Nicholas!"
With Bullet's roar, Nicholas once again vanished as lightning.
Boom!
The ground shattered under Bullet's punch, leaving a crater hundreds of meters wide, with rocks violently erupting.
As Bullet rose from the ground, he looked toward the distant rocks where Nicholas stood.
Nicholas sighed at Bullet's battle hunger.
"If you're so eager to fight, why don't you storm Mariejois directly? Or is it that you cowards only dare hide in the New World?"
Nicholas glanced at a dragon in the distance being slashed down by Whitebeard.
If they were so desperate for death, why not just attack Mariejois directly? Their so-called desire for a grand death was just a way to show off in front of inexperienced rookies.
"Face me, coward!"
Linlin roared wildly.
In the next moment, a terrifying shockwave swept toward Nicholas, engulfing him and the rocks he stood on.
