Seeing two identical Gnars on the deck, Stussy was momentarily stunned. She blinked her large eyes, fluttered her long eyelashes, and then smiled elegantly.
"Hehehe, I see. It's a really useful ability. No wonder Admiral Zephyr and those in charge at Impel Down are wary. I can understand why they work with you."
Zephyr frowned deeply. He knew it was a lie. Although his strength had waned with age, he could still distinguish between the real body and the clone. But he also understood the implications of Stussy's words.
The truth didn't matter as much as the need for CP0 and the Five Elders to have an answer, easing the pressure on the Marines, Impel Down, and the World Government.
Suddenly, a gust of wind surged across the sea. The sails of the pirate ship were fully raised, and the ship under their feet shook violently.
Sensing the change in the climate, Gnar addressed the three before him.
"It seems our time as hosts is over."
"Oh, Mr. Gnar, are you issuing an eviction notice? I doubt Admiral Zephyr will agree to that."
Zephyr frowned deeply, feeling the terrifying power surging from the sea beneath them.
"Kid, what is your purpose? You must know what the sky current is. Are you courting death?"
Gnar ignored Zephyr and looked at Stussy.
"Unfortunately, now is not the time for a fight. Moreover, beautiful lady, you can tell those behind you that we don't have to be enemies. We can be friends, right?"
Everyone was shocked, especially Robin and Zala. They had heard about Gnar's plan to oppose the World Government, but now he seemed to want to cooperate. They were confused.
Stussy, on the other hand, was stunned by Gnar's pointed remark.
"How is it possible... does he know? But that's impossible..."
Suppressing her surprise, Stussy smiled and said,
"So, it's an unexpected gain. Mr. Gnar, I will report everything you said to the World Government."
She took out a phone transponder snail, tossed it to Gnar, and then looked at Zephyr.
"Admiral Zephyr, are you sure you can capture Mr. Gnar here?"
Zephyr felt a strange unease but couldn't pinpoint its source. At that moment, the sea suddenly changed. A huge whirlpool formed, threatening to swallow everything.
Gnar's ship was caught in the whirlpool, along with the distant warships.
"Teacher!"
Ain, terrified by the enormous whirlpool and the abyss-like seabed, looked at Zephyr.
"Retreat for now. Kid, you won't be so lucky next time!"
Zephyr left first, and Ain followed reluctantly, glaring at Gnar. Stussy threw another phone transponder snail to Gnar.
"Foolish man, I'm waiting for your call!"
Gnar took it, tucked it into his pocket, and sneered.
"Don't worry, it will definitely happen."
Stussy smiled charmingly and turned away.
Gnar looked back to see Robin and Zala looking angry.
"Get ready!"
He roared, and under his control, the sails of the fishing boat caught the wind and moved at an incredible speed. The boat was quickly swallowed by the large whirlpool and soon disappeared.
Zephyr and the others, watching from above, saw this scene. They knew Gnar was not someone who would seek death.
Suddenly, the surrounding strong wind ceased, the huge whirlpool dissipated, and the sea became calm again.
"What happened?"
The question was on everyone's mind as they witnessed the sea level rising rapidly, as if a monster was about to emerge from the depths.
"Bang..."
Under their watchful eyes, Gnar's pirate ship was carried into the sky by the massive sky-high current.
High above the sea, atop the powerful sky current.
With the aid of the sky current and the explosive updraft, the fishing boat soared into the sky.
Feeling the strong wind, Robin, Zala, and Kuli clung to whatever they could grab, their faces filled with disbelief as they experienced the sensation of flight.
"It's incredible. Can we reach Sky Island this way?"
Robin, momentarily forgetting her jealousy, was full of surprise.
Everyone's faces were wet with rain.
"This is not enough!"
Following Gnar's command, Kuli was surprised to see the ship seemingly come alive. Two sets of wings extended from both sides of the ship, making better use of the rising wind.
The current propelled the ship faster, heading straight for the cumulus clouds overhead.
"The speed should be sufficient now. If not, we have other means, but don't worry..."
This reassurance calmed everyone. Kuli stroked the ship and exclaimed,
"What an incredible ship. It can withstand such impact and speed and has such magical abilities. Captain Gnar, does this ship have a name?"
"Name?"
Gnar was taken aback. Although the ship had been with him since he arrived in this world, he had never given it a name.
However, at that moment, caressing the ship that had been with him for almost six years, Gnar felt it was time.
"Call it Skylanders!"
With its new name, the Skylander beneath Gnar's feet flapped its wings and soared through the thick clouds, revealing bright sunshine ahead...
