Chapter 17 This Is Not Something You Can Interfere With, Katakuri!
Fire and thunder suddenly burst out around him. Under this double attack, Zeus and Prometheus even cheered.
"Haha! Hit!"
"Kaido is so stupid! He doesn't even know to hide!"
Fire and thunder combined, causing explosions on Kaido. When they wanted to cheer again, BigMom's face changed, and she gestured for them to come back.
"Come back, Prometheus! Zeus!"
"Huh? Why, BigMom?"
"We'll definitely be able to roast him in a little while!"
But the Homies, having a certain level of autonomy, did not obey her as she wished.

The red flame, much warmer than Prometheus, became a pillar of fire with a destructive aura. He shot it at the two Homies in his hands, the laser-like force piercing through them. And the pillar of fire also penetrated deep into the earth, leaving a long, burning black pit.
"BigMom~~~!"
Neither Homie could call out to their mother before dying. Charlotte Linlin watched the two Homies, who had been with her for decades, perish, her eyes immediately turning scarlet. She seized the opportunity to stab at Kaido's Adam's apple with a sword. Kaido took the blow but was hardly phased; he still maintained his dragon form.
Conqueror's Haki knocked Kaido back, but this didn't satisfy BigMom at all. Kaido, who looked up and took a few steps back, seemed a bit confused. Her Conqueror's Haki couldn't break Kaido's defenses?!
"It's really—" Kaido kicked his right foot, the ground beneath him exploded, and he straightened up sharply. Touching the spot where he'd just been hit, he grinned and said, "It's a little itchy."
BigMom glared sharply at him, grinding her teeth and turning her face away. At that moment, she realized the helplessness of facing an adversary whom she could not overpower or even think of a way to defeat. She thought of her strength as tied to her Devil Fruit abilities. Lowering her head, she saw the two main Homies reduced to pieces.
The presence of Zeus had completely vanished, and as for Prometheus...
"Ma~~BigMom~~" Prometheus' weak voice sounded. BigMom hurriedly looked down to find a small, nail-like fragment and attracted it to her hand. Kaido was briefly surprised but then found it reasonable, knowing that Prometheus, being a flame, had a natural resistance to other flames.
"Prometheus!"
"BigMom... I'm dying... Help me!"
BigMom suddenly realized the difficulty of the battle.
She needed time to restore Prometheus to his original state.
But Kaido wouldn't wait for her.
And without a powerful Origin Homie, her strength would drop significantly.
Suddenly, she noticed the splendid rift in the sky,

"Katakuri! Perospero! Where have you gone?"
She yelled into the ruins.
By chance, a boulder at the edge of the ruins was kicked aside, and the scarred Katakuri emerged with a group.
He was breathless, without a shirt, and looked tired.
Following him, Perospero, Smoothie, and Cracker appeared even more disheveled, covered in various marks.
"We are here, BigMom!" they responded.
Those behind him still sported red handprints on their faces, as if they had been awakened forcibly. After emerging, they hastily escaped to other islands.
"Help me subdue him!" BigMom ordered, ignoring her children's wounds.
"What? You're telling us to go to our deaths, mother!" Perospero shrieked.
They had just crawled out of that ruin.
But they knew it was too soon.
That was Kaido they were dealing with!
Without her, they were simply offering their heads on a platter.
"Don't disobey me!" BigMom's rage lingered, and her eyes became menacing circles, exuding a deadly air.
"Life or..."
Several felt a chill at the deadly command, realizing they mustn't let her finish that mantra, yet they were paralyzed by an overwhelming fear.
Only Katakuri intervened, "BigMom, stop! We will hold him back!"
BigMom, taking a deeper look at Kaido, began to evacuate the scene.
She rolled away like a ball, and Kaido felt no need to stop her by force.
If she begged sincerely, he might have even waited for her.
He wasn't serious yet, and ending it hastily would be too dull for him.
"Do you know what meddling in a battle at this level means?" Kaido inquired, facing the few still before him.
They took deep breaths to steady themselves, facing death as though it was nothing.
They stood in line, gripping their weapons, despite the pallor of fear on their faces.
"We know, but we have no choice," declared Katakuri, the bravest among them.
"Then you should know..." Kaido hoisted his mace and vanished in an instant.
Katakuri relied on his foresight, attempting to glean future information.
But his vision blurred, showing only a scene of them falling with no trace of Kaido.
Confusion overtook him.
Why couldn't he see Kaido?
Unbeknownst to them, Kaido had shifted behind them.
"This battle is beyond you, Katakuri!"
Chills ran down their spines as they struggled to turn, catching only a glimpse of Kaido's form.
