"Chiba, take a break and eat something." Hina's soft hand pressed down on the document, stopping Chiba from continuing his work.

Chiba looked up at her. Under the soft glow of the overhead light, Hina's skin appeared even fairer, her red lips strikingly vibrant. In the quiet of the lab, her scent subtly filled the air, and with his heightened senses, Chiba could even hear her heartbeat quicken.

The atmosphere grew more intense. Chiba took Hina's hand in his, his gaze becoming warmer and more focused.

Hina's heartbeat quickened further as she met his intense look. Her face flushed, and she glanced away, slightly embarrassed but unable to hide her own smile.

Chiba pulled her close, wrapping her in his arms as he reached over to turn off the lights.

"Chiba, isn't this a bit too fast? Hina is… nervous."

"It's been a whole year. You think that's too fast?"

"But… we aren't married yet."

"First, we share a night. Tomorrow, we get married."

Chiba smiled, brushing off her concerns. "The Celestial Dragons may be powerful, but your husband is no pushover. Don't worry—I'll be fine."

"Hina trusts you completely. Your talent is unmatched. With enough time, you'll become a powerhouse equal to an Admiral, maybe even surpassing one. But Hina fears the World Government and the Celestial Dragons won't give you that time."

Chiba gently stroked her hair. "Put your heart at ease. We'll get our marriage certificate tomorrow, and you can focus on your training and… on taking care of our child."

Peacock's gaze locked on him, her fierce aura radiating as she raised her right leg high, aiming to bring it down on him.

Her long, slender leg, wrapped in dark Armament Haki, hovered in the air. Even her high heel was fully coated in Haki, reinforcing the power of her strike.

"Chiba, you infuriating man! Take this!"

Her foot slammed down, hitting the golden shield with full force.

Boom!

A sound like a great bell rang out, reverberating through the lab. The translucent shield trembled slightly but held firm. The impact sent Peacock spinning back, her leg thrown off balance by the rebound force. She spiraled through the air, crashing through several windows before landing outside the lab.

"Chiba, you heartless jerk!" she shouted from outside. "I like you, and you dare to hit back that hard? You better believe I'm coming for you!"
