Chapter 51: Gods Ruin

Kai flew through the sky and eventually arrived on Enel's boat. He grabbed someone before dodging a lightning blast that was coming at both of them. He set Sanji down and lit Sanji's cigarette for him.

"Not bad kiddo. Going for the ship was smart. Let me take it from here until rubber man comes back." Kai turned around to look at Enel and cracked his neck.

As he started walking towards Enel a bolt of lightning flew right by him. Kai barely dodged it and used it to light his own cigarette.

"Damn. Aniki, you better teach me how to do that! The ladies would love me if I pulled off a cool move like that!" Sanji yelled out as he saw Kai pull off a move he had always wanted to do.

Kai laughed. "You can't do it yet. Ask me again in a few years."

Sanji clicked his tongue when he heard this.

Kai turned to face Enel. "Thanks for the light, god. You're not so bad after all."

Enel had his face contort in rage as he charged at Kai. "Die! I need to start my thunderstorm to take down all of Skypiea."

Kai looked at him. "Yeah, no. Not gonna let you do that, actually that's the reason I'm here. I won't let you hurt my friends Billy and Jimmy. Billy and Jenny just got engaged and you want me to let you kill them all? No thanks. Also, it's not a thunderstorm, it's a lightning storm." Kai said as he opened a hole in his body where Enel tried to pierce with his spear. Just like Katakuri in his fight with Luffy.

Enel saw his spear go through Kai's body but did no damage as it didn't even hit him. Kai didn't even need to dodge as Enel couldn't counter his fruit anyway. He was a logia so Enel couldn't hit him without haki, but he wanted to try out some new moves in a real fight. This would be very useful in a real fight against a haki user and Enel was one of the fastest people in the world.

This allowed Kai to train his future sight and his ability to dodge incoming attacks by turning certain parts of his body into air. By doing this and making holes or other shapes Kai could cause the person he was fighting to miss him as their attacks would go through him.

Enel kept attacking at Kai who made hole's in his body where he was going to attack before he could. Kai was getting used to using his future sight and his devil fruit more throughout the fight as he could never test his abilities on someone this fast before. Eventually he punched out towards Enel and he covered his fist in a wind blade as if it was brass knuckles. Kai's fist went right through Enel's head as he didn't use haki.

"One." He said as he landed back on the ground as Enel had his face reform.

Enel laughed again. "It seems we are both immortals! Yahahaha!"

Kai shook his head as he did a round house kick with a wind blade on his heel. However instead of it flying off of his heel like a rankyaku it stayed connected to his heel just like the one he used on his fist like brass knuckles. This allowed for his attacks to have the piercing power of his wind blades along with the blunt force of his actual attacks.

Kai devised this attack to deal with stronger people as at some point a regular wind blade isn't strong enough to deal any damage.

Therefore if he could have it connected to his real attack it would have more power in it as it wasn't flying away. Also he could land a hit on his enemy with a punch or kick after the wind blade attacked and left the area already injured. A two for one attack of sorts where he would create a wound even if it was small and then instantly attack it right after.

He had also made another attack where his hand/foot would be covered in a wind barrier which he used when he knew a slashing attack was pointless on his opponent. Doing this would increase the force of his attack as the wind barrier would damage his opponent as well as his fist/foot afterwards.

After Kai's attack connected, Enel's head exploded into lightning.

"Two." Kai said with a slight smile on his face.

Sanji saw this and shook his head. Sanji realized Kai was just toying with him. Sanji's face grew a smile.

"What an asshole, and he's still gonna make Luffy finish it. So lazy." Sanji started to relax as his older brother was fighting Enel.

He wasn't worried anymore, he had faith in his brother. Meanwhile, Kai was still just playing with Enel as even though Enel was slightly faster than him Kai could literally see the future. Enel stood no chance, he didn't even have a way to hit Kai. Enel was starting to lose patience as this fight was going nowhere.

"Let us stop this farce! For gods like us who can't be hit there is no point in fighting! Join me and together we can go to fairy vearth!" Enel said as he pointed up towards a large grey object in the sky.

"Does he mean the moon?" Sanji asked as Enel pointed to the sky.

"Yup." Kai replied.

"Huh. What an idiot. Well whatever." Sanji said as he didn't really care what Enel wanted to do.

Kai responded to Enel's question by attacking. He sent two large wind blades that passed through Enel's torso in a + shape.

Kai quickly chimed in. "Three."

Enel was in the middle of reforming Kai used this split second of hesitation from Enel and charged at him. Kai punched with many wind blades covering his hand moving in all directions. "Blade storm" Kai's fist went right through Enel's face and constantly shredded it into pieces as it reformed over and over. Tearing it on a microscopic level.

"Four." Kai said again as he backed off of Enel and allowed him reform his head.

Enel looked at him angrily but before he could yell at him Kai said. "You can be hit, dumbass. Don't you remember literally 5 minutes ago when that rubber band was kicking your ass?"

Enel froze and his face contorted in anger. "Shut up!" He yelled as he sent many different lightning blasts all over the place.

Kai scattered his body into wind and spread it out, causing all of Enel's attacks to miss him. After the attacks were done Kai reformed, still unscathed. He looked like he just noticed something and he turned invisible while hiding his emotions.

Kai flashed behind Enel and said. "Besides. Who said I couldn't hit you?" He said as he punched Enel in the back of the head with a haki coated fist causing him to face plant into the ship.

"Five." Kai said as he started walking away ignoring Enel who stood up and attempted to attack him.

Just when Enel was about to charge at Kai someone landed in between the two, this happened exactly 10 seconds after Kai 'noticed something'.

"See ya, sparky!" Kai said while facing Enel before he turned to face the new person who just landed on the deck. "Kick his ass, Luffy!" Kai said as he scattered into the wind.

Sanji smiled. "He's still smooth. I should ask him for a few tips."

Luffy heard this and wasn't really sure what Sanji was talking about, so he assumed it was about him. "Thanks Sanji! I am pretty smooth!"

Sanji shook his head with a smile on his face. "Kick his ass captain." He said as Luffy and Enel started fighting again.

Kai reappeared next to Robin, slightly startling her. "You need to stop doing that." She said as she regained her composure.

"Hmmm. I would, but your cute when you get startled like that." Kai responded in a serious voice.

Robin just giggled and asked him. "So where have you been?"

Kai hummed and answered. "Someone had to keep the spark plug busy while Luffy was out of commission. Otherwise he would destroy the whole city and sky island with it."

Robin was stunned. "You could sense that? From that far away?"

Kai nodded. "That's actually not that far, I could do a lot further."

Robin was shocked. Not that far? That was over half an island away from them! Kai just shrugged when he saw Robin's helpless face. Then he grabbed her and picked her up, moving her a few feet to the side before setting her back down. Robin looked at him weird for a few seconds before she saw someone flying towards them from the sky.

"Hey, it's god!" Kai said as he watched Enel crash into the massive golden bell beside them.

The golden bell rang out loudly causing Kai and Robin to cover their ears with their hands. Kai quickly made a sound barrier around Robin's ears so she would be alright. He saw that her face relaxed as she was no longer in pain from the loud noise.

As soon as Kai saw her feeling better he smiled like an idiot, forgetting to do the same for himself as his ears were still ringing loudly. After a moment he realized he was too engrossed in watching Robin that he forgot to make a barrier for his own ears. Kai chuckled to himself, it felt good to care about someone more than you do about yourself. It was a truly heartwarming feeling for Kai.

Some people might call him a simp and an idiot for what he just did. To those people Kai would say. 'You're 100% correct, but are you really a simp if you get the girl?'

Anyway!

A bunch of debris scattered and one large piece landed where Robin was just standing.

Robin looked around confused for a second. "Thanks for saving me. Can you see the future or something?"

Kai paused for a second. "Short-term, or long-term?" He asked.

Robin thought for a bit. "Either." She asked.

Kai nodded. "Both. Well kinda." This left Robin stunned.

Kai continued. "I kinda know long term, it's a long story. But the short term is pretty easy. You could learn it as well if you focus on kenbunshoku."

Robin was stunned and wanted to ask a million questions. Was he joking or not? She had no clue. Before she could ask, Luffy landed right next to them.

"Meeeeat." Luffy groaned in pain.

Kai pulled out some meat from somewhere and handed it to Luffy, who devoured it whole.

"You really can see the future." Robin giggled.

Kai laughed at her. "No. I just carry some around because this happens so often."

Robin thought for a bit before nodding. "You're right, maybe I should start doing the same."

They both laughed as Luffy inhaled the food. After a while they decided to leave. The three of them started to leave and the people of sky island decided to give them a pillar of gold for everything they did for them.

"This is for everything you did for us! Especially the saviour's sacrifice!" Billy called out to the Straw Hats who were on the Merry.

Usopp saw the large pillar covered in cloth and screamed. "It's a cannon! They want to kill us!"

The crew freaked out and prepared to leave Luffy, Kai and Robin saw this and chased after them so they wouldn't be left behind.

Luffy laughed as he jumped on the boat. "Shishishi! Let's go!"

Kai and Robin jumped on the ship after Luffy and the crew sailed off.

After a little while they reached the edge of the clouds and sailed off of them.

"Oh my. It looks like we're all going to fall to our deaths." Robin said as she looked out below them.

"Wahahaha! See you all in hell!" Kai laughed as they started falling towards the ocean.

When they were close to hitting the ground Kai used the air to catch them and give them a soft landing.

The moment the crew landed and had no way of going back to sky island Kai asked the crew. "Hey guys why didn't you accept the gold?"

Nami froze in place she slowly turned towards Kai and asked. "What do you mean?"

Kai looked at everyone and said. "They tried to give you a massive pillar of gold, probably about 1 billion belli worth. Then someone yelled something weird like, ganon, fanon, manon, hanon, or something like that and you all ran away."

Nami's eyebrow twitched. "Do you mean canon?" She said as she sent a death stare at Usopp.

Kai nodded seriously. "Yeah! That!"

Nami immediately jumped at Usopp and started choking him. "GOLD! They were going to GIVE us gold! And you stopped it! I'm going to fucking kill you!!!!"

Usopp started to come close to death at some point and Zoro and Luffy had to pull Nami off of him and hold her back to stop her from actually murdering Usopp.

Nami's head snapped to Kai. "You! Take us back! Use your wind magic! Take us back to the gold!"

Kai looked at this and could hardly stop laughing. When he finally stopped laughing he looked Nami dead in the eyes.

"No. WAHAHAHA!" He started laughing again as Nami tried to murder him only to be held back by Zoro and Luffy again.
