The Arlong park was built on the coastline, near the ocean, where the pool on the outside was linked to the outer seas. Inside the park, a large pagoda stood that housed all the crew members of the Arlong Pirates.
A steel gate was was placed at the entrance, and a few fishman stood guards there. They woke up from noise outside and headed outside to see what it was about.
"AHH, why're there so many people here."
"It's a rebellion! Let's teach these people a lesson!"
The fishman guards immediately rushed towards the rebel villagers with their weapons. The villagers were just on the verge of collapsing their lines in panic when...
Bang... Bang... Noelle arrived at the scene and took out a few fishman that were charging in the front. Her marksmanship was incredibly fast and accurate, resulting in the fishmen trembling and running away.
"Hmph... Don't think you can you can leave out of this Cross!" Noelle pouted and went on to reload her flintlocks.
The fishmen guards were about to regroup when.... "Get out of my way you small-fries!" Cross yelled and ran straight towards the gate.
BOOOM… a punch from Cross sent the pirates along with the gate flying towards the pagoda. Fishman limbs were seen scattered around from the destruction, sending a pungent smell throughout the area.
"ARLONG, we've come for the rebellion."
Cross's face was flushed as he thought about finally letting his powers tun wild in forever. The villagers around him also rejoiced at how easily Cross knocked out the Arlong pirates in the outskirts of the village.
At Cross's provocation, a large, mascular, light blue saw-shark fishman approached from inside the pagoda. He was Arlong the Saw, the pirate captain of the all fish-man crew, the Arlong pirates.
"Arlong would be my name.. And just what the hell are you all doing?"
Arlong raised his eyebrows when he saw so many people come up from the village.
"Didn't you hear us properly you fish-fry… I said we're for the fucking rebellion" Cross raised his trident and encouraged the villagers.
UOHHHHHHH!
The drunk villagers surrounding Cross chanted with fighting spirits.
"Leave this area now or suffer from our wrath…" Cross continued.
"SHAHAHA… do you all really think you measly humans can beat us."
As soon as he said that… the 3 most intimidating fishman below Arlong stepped forward. Chew, Hatchan, and Kuroobi from the manga looked at the villagers with a mocking smile on their faces.
"I can smell the booze in you… seems like you guys are here for your death." The ray-fishman, Kuroobi frowned as he thought about the foolishness of humans.
"How dare you hurt out brethren?!" Hatchan, the octopus-fishman, yelled.
Just when things were about to become a little more tense, a woman ran towards the rebel villagers. It was Nami who had returned to Arlong park after a heist.
"WHAAAT are you guys doing here… you'll die 100% of the time from fighting Arlong." Nami yelled.
"We can't live in this hell-hole anymore, we rather die." One of the villager said.
SWISSSH… Nami swung her staff at the man. TUNNNN… However, Cross knocked her staff easily with his own before she could knock the man out. Even though Cross was still wobbling from being drunk, his reflexes were second to none.
"Never tell us rebels the odds," Cross said.
WOOOOOOHOOO… all the drunk villagers who watched Star Wars cheered at Cross's cross reference to Han Solo.
Nami was just about to attack again when her eyes finally landed on Cross..
"C-Cross... is that you?! W-Why are you here... and this rebellion. You have to leave before Arlong attacks you! You don't need to worry about me.... I already have plan to save us all!" She grabbed my arm and started pulling me away with her. Her eyes were moist, and she looked on the verge of a breakdown.
Silence reigned in the area, many of the drunk people started sobering up a little when they saw her anguish.
Genzo went to Nami and he said, "Nami… We already know about your 100 million Berrys deal… Everyone in the village knew it all along… We feared that if you knew that we knew… you would never choose to run away from it all."
'Wha… That's why you pretended not to know.." Nami murmured, her eyes frozen from shock.
Genzo turned away from Nami and then spoke to the villagers. "Yes we all appreciate Nami's efforts, and we all love and support her… stop what you're all doing...:"
All the villagers and Nami looked at each other warmly as they united under under their suffering.
"SHAHAHAH… you humans are amusing. I'll let you villagers live for now."
Cross's eyes widened when even Arlong seemed cool with the villagers leaving without any punishment. Didn't he love his crew that we killed...
Everyone seemed happy…, but Cross clicked his tongue as his rebel cause started to lose support. He definitely didn't want to beat the shit out of Arlong without public support.
He gritted his teeth and decided to go all in.
"Wait everyone… this doesn't make any sense at all! How do we know that you plan on honoring Nami's promise?!" Cross yelled.
Namis face paled and she ran up to Cross again to pull him away. "L-let's go Cross…I'll explain everything to you soon!"
"You aren't allowed to question our Captain human! Let's kill him and make an example Captain… CHU ♥" Chew looked at Cross and licked his lips.
Arlong stood up from his chair, and he examined Cross carefully. He was aware that the human in front of him was the one who incited the rebellion.
"We fish-man never go back on our promise…SHAHAHA, so if that's all I'm afrai-"
Mwah ha ha ha... Cross interrupted Arlong by laughing like a maniac. Then, he pulled a bag from Noelle and handed it to Nami with a twisted smile on his face.
"Nami, do me a favor and see what's inside the bag…"
Though Nami was worried with Cross's antics, she trusted him enough to follow his advice. Piching her lips, she went ahead and opened the bag. Everyone including Arlong watched the scene curiously.
"WAHHHH so much treasure!!"
Everyone's jaws dropped when they say millions of Berrys roll out from the bag. Arlong scowled heavily when he got an indication of what my plan was.
"Mwah ha ha… I've just gifted Nami 20 million Beris… she just needs around 20 minutes to come back with the rest of the money and you give her freedom… I fuckin dare you to do something now Arlong." Cross said.
Contrary to what Cross and the fishmen were thinking, many of the villagers started getting into the mood for festivity.
YAHHOOOOOO… we're finally free.
"Nami has done it for us…"
'Finally… after 8 years of suffering."
Cross looked at all the villagers with an evil grin as he waited for Arlong to break his promise. Similarly, Arlong's panicked expression was also replaced by a look of madness. Both parties stared at Nami as she excitedly collected all the money on the ground.
Just when she was about finish doing everything, Arlong made his move.
SWISHHH
He went straight for the bag and stole it from Nami.
"Now this bag is mine… I asked Nami to deliver me 100 million Beris, and the amount of 20 million in this bag is too low… Hence Nami still works for me and the village is also mine.... SHAHAHAHA "
Everyone at Arlong Park was flabbergasted by Arlong's shamelessness. Even Cross thought he couldn't go as low as that.
Soon tears rolled out from Nami's eyes when she heard Arlong's words.
All the villagers were grinding their teeth when they saw Nami being betrayed like this.
"Y-YOU VILE MONSTER!" Nami yelled.
"SHAHAHAHAHA… I'll kill everyone in the village if you decide to leave me." Arlong declared.
Nami fell down on her knees, and the villagers discussed rebelling on the spot.
Everyone at the entire scene was in anguish: Nami's hopes were betrayed, the villager's hopes were betrayed, and Arlong was made to look like a fool whose words don't matter at all.
Then again, there was one person at the scene who was still smiling from the inside and out. He believed that he'd gained support once again for his rebellion.
