Boom!
Kaneki was kicked fiercely, smashing through several walls before he finally collapsed on the ground, barely alive, his eyes blankly staring at the ceiling.
After he had killed 'Jason', he thought he was free from his former weaker self.
But reality taught him a harsh lesson, informing him that there was always someone stronger.
In front of Mr. Abel, he was as helpless as a newborn child.
In simple terms, he was utterly defeated.
"You're a hundred years too early to challenge me."
"But I must say, 'Mr. Abel, do you know what 1000 minus 7 equals?' does sound quite imposing."
Abel approached the barely alive Kaneki and spoke without any courtesy.
He then picked him up and walked outside.
Kaneki could be killed, but there was no need.
At this point, Kaneki was so pitiful that even Abel couldn't bear to kill him. Besides, if the protagonist died, it might bring unnecessary trouble to his mission in District 11.
So it was better to let the guy live a little longer and lock him up for now.
After Abel leaves this world, whatever happens happens.
Abel was always clear about his goals.
Oh, he almost forgot that 'Jason' wasn't quite dead yet.
He should finish him off on his way out.
Such a twisted creature should not be left alive to disgust others.
"Kaneki!"
After finishing off 'Jason', Abel was carrying Kaneki out when two figures landed on either side of him.
One was Touka, who had come to rescue Kaneki, and the other was her brother Ayato.
The two had been fighting fiercely, but upon seeing Kaneki, Touka had eyes only for him and leaped forward.
And naturally, Ayato had followed his sister.
"Let go of Kaneki!"
Touka, who already despised the ghoul investigators from the CCG, assumed the worst upon seeing Kaneki's condition and instinctively attacked Abel with her kagune!
Though rash, she wasn't entirely wrong in blaming Abel.
After all, 'Jason' had tortured Kaneki in the first half, and Abel had accidentally taken over in the second half.
"Run, Touka."
Kaneki, weakly trying to stop Touka from what seemed like a suicide attempt, was completely ignored by her.
Abel had no choice but to raise the large cleaver he was wielding and strike.
After all, the notion of 'killing a sister to prove oneself' was something he had done countless times.
Whether man or woman, there was no mercy for enemies.
His blade, the Oni Yamada Number One, sliced through her kagune and continued its deadly descent.
Just as Touka was about to be slain, Ayato, wrapped in his ukaku, rushed forward and pushed her out of harm's way.
Pfft!
The blade came down, severing Ayato's kagune and leaving a deep, gruesome wound on his back where his spine was visible, and perhaps even his visceral organs.
Touka stood there, stunned, as her brother fell into a pool of blood to save her.
"No, Ayato!"
As Touka lost all sense of reason and attempted to rush to certain death, Kuzen Yoshimura, who had escaped the CCG investigators' encirclement, arrived just in time to grab her.
"I'll go rescue them; you get out of here first."
"But..."
"Go!"
With the store manager's scolding, Touka finally regained some composure and, gritting his teeth, fled.
Meanwhile, Aogiri's executives also arrived on the scene.
Today's battle had been particularly costly for Brulee; at the very least, Kirishima Ayato couldn't die here.
So, he was here to rescue someone, too.
It's just that they were each there to rescue different people.
What they had in common, though, was that they both had to confront Abel.
"If I had known that having a 'hostage' would lure you all into my trap one by one, I wouldn't have bothered to hunt you down," Abel remarked casually, feeling as though he was straying further and further down the path of a villain.
It did not sound like something a good person would say.
Sighing, the first to strike was Tatara, a somewhat handsome figure with white hair and the lower half of his face obscured by a red mask.
He swung his thick tail toward Abel without regard for Kaneki's life in his hands.
However, Abel easily deflected the powerful blow with a casual slash.
Then, Yoshimura made his move!
His weapon was the robust spikes that he could form on his arms with his powerful Kagune.
Before these sharp spikes, walls and steel were like paper, easily pierced and torn.
Yet every time, Abel managed to dodge just in the nick of time.
It appeared perilous, but he was reluctant to exert any more effort than necessary.
After all, if the Abel of 19 years old couldn't defeat Arima Kishou, even losing two arms in the process, did he now think Abel was an easier opponent?
Quietly, Abel entered his kakuja form and unleashed his patterning.
As his familiar dark wings emerged on his forehead, his power surged dramatically!
Tatara seized the opportunity to try and escape with the critically injured Kirishima Ayato.
But a shadow plunged towards him.
Boom!
Turning to look, he saw an SSS-rated owl knocked into the air, his arm spikes broken.
The next moment, a large cleaver pierced through his back, pulling through him with a horizontal slash.
Blood sprayed out instantly.
"You could have avoided death by simply hiding well, but now you've made me look like a major villain, which is really a headache," Abel complained.
Yoshimura charged again.
Abel finally discarded Kaneki and effortlessly dodged his attack, then lightly pressed his left hand onto Yoshimura's body.
His clothes burst apart!
A flash of light instantly dissolved all of Yoshimura's defensive Kagune, leaving him exposed to Abel's blade.
It was over.
Clang!
No, not yet.
Another owl descended from the sky, blocking the lethal slash.
"The one-eyed owl has reaped quite a harvest tonight," Abel said without a hint of pressure, smiling even more cheerfully.
"Don't worry about me, get out of here! This guy is far more terrifying than Arima Kishou!"
Yoshimura was frantic.
The one-eyed owl was his own daughter, Takatsuki Sen—known as Eto, one of the three Executors of the Aogiri Tree.
The one-eyed owl aimed to rescue everyone, but she hadn't considered Abel's opinion.
"Since you're all here, you might as well stay," Abel said softly, then plunged his eerie, darkly-tinged longsword into the ground.
Dark Breath: Sixth Form: Death Sword Cemetery!
Boom!
The sword's energy erupted!
